I like it how the entire fuselage is practically perforated but not a single scratch in the canopy ;)

Set the affected engine throttle to off and set the engines operate switch to motor and keep it like that for at least 30 seconds. The engine operate switches are directly over the APU switch on the Throttle quadrant Edit: Ah, beaten to it :)

Both DCS and the plane is working perfectly, which annoys me. I wanted to force out user-related faults after starting on the emergency procedures part of the manual but it's just too damn foolproof. :P Fuel pumps on AC power, god I should have thought of that...

1. APU running 2. Inverter switch, ground power and APU generator OFF 3. Fuel pumps ON 4. Throttle to IDLE 5. Engine Fuel Flow Switches to OVERRIDE 6a. Alternate throttle between MAX and IDLE for 5 minutes 6b. Leave throttle on IDLE for 5 minutes Why does it still start normally after doing this?

Use the ground power to start the APU. Remember to have the inverter on or the igniters won't fire and you'll flood the turbines. Atleast that's what should happen, the emergency procedure is in the flight manual. Has anyone been able to force-flood the turbines?

This is what matters the most, prices vs. wages. Norways high prices fit with Norways high wages. This has the side-effect of making Norwegian exports bastardly expensive to buy abroad. For the opposite end of the spectrum look at Thailand. Average income is around 23000 Baht per year (around 530 Euro, per year). You can get a very good meal for 10 to 20 baht (0.50 Euro) and any game or movie you want for 20 to 100 baht depending on the quality and type of the media. So when it comes to imports, to us it's cheaper but to them the price sky-rockets. Fuel for instance costs around 40 baht per litre, which means that if you have a 20 litre tank that's easily 800 baht, sizable chunk of their income.

Brand new game in a retail store usually costs 500NOK, which is 90USD or 63 EURO. On steam, brand new flashy games are usually 50 EURO, or 400NOK. That leaves me 100Kr to spend on a can of soda and a pack of chewing gum

Don't worry, that ships with the boxed copy.

Well we have Silent Hunter 4 for our submarine needs

MK-82's are unguided and affected by wind. Haven't got time to start up the game but how long are you lasing and from what altitude?
-
Yep, luckily real life A-10 pilots learn the plane in one day.
-
Looks good, this will run A-10C maxed  If you're only going to use one screen you could look at getting a GTX 570 instead of the 580. There is a very steep price difference between the two as compared to actual effect and getting the 570 would clear up around $200-250 which you can use on a decent SSD :book: But yes, that's a good pc build.

That's a pretty clever feature, viper +1 to ED

Gerald Seymour's The Unknown Soldier Very good thriller about some touchy issues

There is never any rush to get in the air, other flights need to eliminate both ground and airborne threats, so you do have a lot of minutes to spare for aligning it :p The EAC will only arm itself if you have all 4 SAS switches on, fully aligned INS and EGI flight mode. You can throw the CDU switches even before you turn on the battery power but it will only start up once the APU generator starts giving it juice. This isn't exactly procedure but you can switch on the CDU, CICU and IFFCC once the APU gen is going (or before) and start aligning while starting up the engines and doing the preflight BIT. If you're REALLY in a hurry.

What cockpit is this based on?
-
No but you have to let it load before you can do anything that involves the HUD :) Yes, wait until you see NAV INS RDY *FLASHING* before you put it in NAV mode, otherwise it's not fully aligned and is degraded. You should see one of the lines read "T=4.0 0.8 " when it's aligned, takes around 4 minutes. Hope this helps :)

Yep, 6 channels is surround :)

Those are comparisons of eSATA to USB3, not SATA to USB3. I'll reformulate External USB2.0 < Internal SATA2 < External USB3.0 < External eSATA < Internal SATA3

Part number CSSD-F120GB3-BK... Phew, I have the Force Series F120, part number CSSD-F120GB2-BRKT

Yep. Use the mission editor, open a mission, edit time on the briefing screen, save to "My Missions". Then go back to the main meny, select mission and the folder "My Missions". There it is. I love playing The Serpents Head at night :joystick:

Builds are much more cost-effective than pre-builts. Roughly threw this thing together based on my own specs, you don't need the H70 or the antec case but it goes to show how much goodies you can get for £1k. If you decide to build your own, phone around and get help from one of your mates, fumbling around aimlessly with electronics is usually not a good avenue Let me know if you plan to go ahead with a build, I'll piece together a more balanced machine at a site of your choice :)

In terms of pure data transfer USB2.0 < SATA2 < USB3.0 < SATA3 Wether you want your SSD inside or outside your computer is up to you but please, please put your OS on it, you won't regret it
