  1. Not a good tip ;) The best to do here is "getting used to trim!" and with that I mean "trim after every(!) input you give!". As soon as you are used to, which takes a while, sure, your flying skills will drastically improve, trust me ;) Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  2. Because this is the way the AI currently works - simple as that. Try engaging an "ace ai during the night, without radar, only using your NVG to engage with a heatseeker - they will use flares the moment you launch, even if they have no missile warning system at all. 3. 3090 sounds really nice for VR users - I expected more than 2000$ (looking at the old Titan). I'm interested in the difference between 3090 and 3080 performance wise - Need DCS Benchmarks now :D
  4. I recommend reading stuff about flying in general. In propeller driven planes you do not have the electrical fuel pump always on and no, I said "transit" (flying from A to B) and not "during climbs" (I'm not aware that it is turned on during climbs, but could be, don't know honestly!). Do you have a source stating it otherwise? E.g. https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2020/january/flight-training-magazine/ol-how-it-works-fuel-system ".....here should be an electrically powered pump for engine start and use as a backup. You’ll also see a fuel pressure gauge, so you can know that the pumps are working properly." Or you take a look into a german book "Motorflug kompakt: Das Grundwissen zur Privatpilotenlizenz", which also explains, that the electrical pump is a backup system. You do not have it "always on", because in this case you would never experience a fault in your mechanical pump - and then you'll enter the world of problems if your electrical (backup) pump fails. You only set your electrical fuel pump to "on" if your mechanical one fails OR you are in critical phases like takeoff or landing, when a failing pump is too dangerous. Edit: HA! you got me! I was wondering if the spitfire is something special, might be it is. The checklist of a PA-28 (Piper Archer) says "Turn OFF Electric fuel pump at desired altitude". This is common to other, current planes. BUT the manual of the spitfire says (page 17 (Use of the booster pump(s) The main tanks booster pump should be switched ON for take-off and landing and at all times when these tanks are in use in flight". So, yes, after reading this it seem's you are right - but this is not a general statement. Why the spitfire has a different handling, I don't know, but it seems to be the case! Learned something new ;) Btw: It is never a good idea to run a pump on a dry system, this will (sooner or later) kill it's mechanics. BR, kreisch
  5. Because this is not a bug, you never fly with the electrical fuel pump in 'always on'. Common usage is to engage the electrical pump during starts, landings and the especially performance critical parts of the flight - basic transit is not critical. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  6. I just tried it but it seems there are still a few open points :/ E.g. when a group as a moose object is defined, StudioCode says "undefined Global" and it does not refer to the "GROUP" class available in the framework. A part of IntelliSense is working for me, but mostly for self-written code. It does look completely different if I create a new *.lua file directly within the *\Moose_Development\ folder - creating a file within the root-level of the Repository does not enable the intelli sense correctly. Do you guys have it working really as good as the LUA-Tools? Because I would like getting rid of this IDE, it is very slow compared to Studio Code :(
  7. Wild Weasel: Drop your CBUs on a SAM-Site or Manpad-(Cluster) you visually scouted - so basically, let them shoot on you to shoot back ;) That's about it. I recommend (I believe that's the one mentioning Wild Weasel how it was flown without that HARM stuff) "Dan Hampton: Viper Pilot" to read:thumbup:
  8. And because of your FPS drop: Sometimes DCS does not enter fullscreen correctly - just ALT+TAB out of DCS, then ALT+TAB again into DCS and then press LALT+ENTER to enter full screen. At least on MY machine, this stabilizes my FPS very much. Hope this helps, kreisch
  9. Is there any plan to extend the master server to provide the IPv6 addresses? It is really annoying because this prevents 50% of our squadron to "host a mission quickly".
  10. Currently no - no possibility to do this.
VG, kreisch
  12. Is there a possibility to use the virtual kneeboard with a surface tablet as it has also pen support? Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  13. Just a tip especially for the sim environment - do not expect, do not assume - try to find information. Example? Would you think the current F15-C, the top notch Air to Air fighter is still not using color-displays? Just go and check it ;) So the question is - is documentation available describing it? BR, kreisch
  14. Try to remove ALL carriers (Stennis, Tarawa etc) or even all the ships - fixed the lags on our server
  15. +1, being "the annoying guy" in my daily business who is responsible for evaluating defects as blocking.... I definitely know the struggle :music_whistling: Don't crunch too long, doesn't matter what all the loud people scream, mental health is more important.
  16. You drop back and lower a bit so you clear the area right behind the tanker. Afterwards you slightly push right, you can and should use your rudder for this and you rejoin the reformation area. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  17. Danke für die Antwort. Puh - was war's, gute Frage.
VG, kreisch
  19. No, it is not. I'm using a self printed Controller for this, attached to the warthog....barely usable :(
  20. New to me, thanks! Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  21. Uh I did a nono.... Communication problem, sorry. I meant during departure. Obviously the marshall is flown with an offset, that's correct :D Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  22. Additionally, there is no radial intercept during departures during case III and I - according to CNATRA P-1211 p.61+62
  23. More important to me is: WHO exactly will develop it? That's interesting.
  24. We do not know what happened, but after I repaired my installation of DCS and re-created that mission we were not able to reproduce the errors. It's a bit strange because the installation was not modded/updated/changed in any way. However, not reproducible. BR, kreisch
  25. Hey guys, My squadmates told me about a strange bug they encountered a few minutes ago. They did a usual startup and flight in the hornet and after a few minutes (about 10-15 into the mission) the MFDs stopped working - for everyone! The content of the MFDs/DDIs froze and the HUD froze as well. After this happened, the MFDs/DDIs were frozen for everyone joining the server, even after they restarted DCS. See the attached logfiles (due to size I use a G-Drive link) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iWOfWh5UCQv7Fyf2tVnJ-ZqantMCL-KT BR, kreisch
