The speed break forward position (close speed brakes) is non-momentary, although your setup will work well enough (you are correct about the boat switch and china hat). The only other funny switches on the warthog throttle are the "engine oper" toggles, the forward positions (ignition) are momentary but the rear positions (motor) are non-momentary. All other toggles are non-momentary.

Short answer: No. Long answer: DCS doesn't recognise negative coordinates, so you'll either have to make the left monitor the primary or put the left monitor to the right of the centre monitor. It will not work any other way other than telling windows it is on the right even though it is physically on the left. My monitors are set up the same as yours and unfortunately since I can't get my touch screen input to work on the secondary monitor, it has to stay on the left as my primary when playing. What i did was buy a copy of UltraMon and have my centre as the primary for normal use on one user account and I play DCS on a second user account with my left touch screen set as the primary (UltraMon can save monitor configurations for different users).

Then I really am out of ideas I'm afraid. I have no idea why it wont let you change resolution. With the two screen .lua, again you are putting the values in the wrong place. The X and Y values are where the top left of the camer/shkval/abris begin, not their size. Size is dictated by the width and height values. I can't edit it for you since I don't know what monitor setup you want to use for it, or how you want the abris and shkval to appear.
-
Make sure the resolution is set to 4240x1050 in the options menu, after that I'm out of ideas. Also, please keep posting pictures, it's much easier than trying to imagine what you are seeing.

I've done my best, but I can't understand why it still doesn't work. Sorry. EDIT: Scratch that, I've just learnt that when eyefinity is in use, all monitors will default to the resolution of the monitor with the lowest resolution. In your case, the smallest resolution is 1280 wide (1280x3=3840). Completely disable eyefinity and make sure that all your monitors are set to their native resolutions before starting the game.
-
What does it look like now? Is the centre view centred by the way? Is it just the right hand side that is cut off or is it an equal amount from both sides? Also, I was reading online that Eyefinity only really works properly when all monitors are the same size, so you might want to keep it disabled for the game.

I can't solve your issue with the horizontal resolution, but try this camera config file (although this one is a bit of a stab in the dark). 3cameras.lua
-
Lol, the problem you had is that you've got all the views starting at 0,0. So basically you've got the left view starting in the top left as it should, then you've got an even wider centre view on top of it starting in the top left and then you've got an even wider right view beneath the centre view starting in the top left again. To save time I've fixed them for you. 3cameras.lua options.lua
-
Go to \Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts Open the options .lua, scroll to the bottom and change the resolution to 4240x1050, change the aspect to 4.04. You then need to change the monitor config .lua. Remember, the top left most screen MUST be your primary monitor in Windows.

TM HOTAS WH slew hat not working.
98abaile replied to 98abaile's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah, it seems the slew hat is NF. I removed it from the throttle but couldn't see any damage (although TM's soldering leaves a lot to be desired). -
As the title says, I can't get my slew hat on my TM HOTAS WH to work. It should be at the default settings (I haven't changed them), in the axis options under the throttle column, slew is set to joy x and y. If I try to remap them and use the hat (or nub) to register the new binding, it doesn't register. Is my slew hat broken? Do they have a history of failure? Is there anyway I can test it? Thanks for your help.

EDIT: Oops my bad, I got the x and Y coordinates wrong (fixed now). That's what happens when you try to post in the morning after only 4 hours sleep. Try this: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('eulaced+Shkval+Camera+ABRIS'); Description = 'Shkval on the left monitor,ABRIS on the right and camera on the center'; Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1900; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.76; } } Shkval = { x = 0; y = 1080; width = 781; height = 585; } ABRIS = { x = 781; y = 1080; width = 579; height = 768; }This is assuming that both monitors are left adjusted. If not, just add the offset to the x values for the abris and sckval (but not by more than 540 pixels). Copy all the text into Notepad++ and save it as a .lua file and put it in \Program Files(x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\MonitorSetup In game options select 'eulaced+Shkval+Camera+ABRIS' as the monitor type and change your total resolution to 1900x1848 (just delete the current resolution like you would with text and type in the new one).

If you look carefully, it says it's an Aim-7 in the image.
-
I'm just saying it can be done and that there is no need to splash cash on kit when you (not you specifically, obviously) haven't even tried the game. Not all of us can afford to make gambles on computer games (even assuming I were a dedicated simmer), I only work a low paid job for Tesco.

HOTAS Warthog and Future DCS Titles
98abaile replied to arriflex's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
http://tsh.war-fighters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1537&start=0 Shouldn't be too hard. -
Well the resolution of the abris by my calculations is 724x960, so you're gonna need a bigger lower screen if you don't want to have it shrunk. Are you able to rotate the lower screen by 90 degrees?

Ignore the elitists in this thread, the 3D pro is easily enough to get a feel for the game, just set buttons 11 and 12 as modifier buttons (although you may need more). You will find very quickly that the stick has nowhere near enough functionality (for the serious simmer) with its limited number of buttons and only one hat; and without track IR, changing your view will be a pain in the butt. But provided you don't mind using the keyboard for most things, the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO will be enough to make good inroads into the game. I use the HOTAS Warthog now, but I still have my old 3D Pro, I got many years use out of it in the X games (X3:R, X3:TC, etc.... not X-plane) and it served me very well.

Anyone been able to buy and receive the A-10C DVD yet?
98abaile replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yes, got it from play.co.uk (arrived 5 days late though, play have a habit of letting customers down on release day). -
64bit here. When you can have 64 bit, there isn't really a reason to consider 32bit unless you have some really old legacy stuff.
-
Well consider that the A-10 was designed to have a 2 hour loiter time, is capable of air to air refuelling and that you can always rearm back at your air base, it's really up to the mission designer.

You aught to make monitor covers as well Deadman.

Turkish Air Force's 100. Anniversary Air Show

God it's been so long since I went to an airshow. -
You do know that the CMS has a push button right? Just click the stick.

The problem there is that tanks are crew operated and rely very much on analogue human judgements and decisions. They also operate as part of armoured groups or as infantry support and are much more a tactical thing than a technical thing (unlike a FS). A full on tank sim would either have to be multiplayer only or require some seriously epic AI. Your best bet if you want to have fun with tanking is to join an ARMA clan. http://ttp2.dslyecxi.com/veh_usage.html
