  1. For me they resize in real time but don't drag in real time.
  2. Fantastic program, I will definitely be paying for this. I had no significant problems after I disable full screen mode in DCS but I did notice a minor cosmetic issue, in that when I move the exported displays, that the image doesn't move under the cursor, I have to guess where it is going to end up and then do multiple adjustments until I get it in the right place. Is this normal normal at this stage and will it be changed in the full release?
  3. Am I remembering correctly that as yet no one has been able to export the dials and instruments? If you can do that, that'd be awesome.
  4. You need to double click the cell in the column of the control that you wish to assign a function too and then press a button or move an axis to set that button/axis. If you want to set a modifier, there is a button in the bottom left of the screen, click it and you can then assign a button as a momentary shift function (button) or a toggled shift function (switch).
  5. Are you mapping through the game or the saitek profiler? What do you mean by "cannot get it to work"?
  6. Find out where your saitek profiles are kept, put the .pro file there and then select the profile from the icon in your system tray.
  7. I can't play multiplayer at the moment, but do the radios work with voip without third party plugins like TARS? Does IFF work?
  8. I think it says in the manual that hot air only works if you set the lever to filtered air.
  9. It doesn't unfortunately, you can still see the edges in you peripheral vision. Current FOV is about 100°. More importantly though, because of the way the lenses work, the pixels around the centre of your view become stretched, giving the effect of looking at something through a screen door. Something similar to this: This is an old mock up of the effect for the DK1 which has a lower resolution than the DK2, but the effect is apparently still there at the current higher resolution. People will no doubt complain about the effect if they release at 1080p, but if they release at a higher resolution people will no doubt complain about the price.
  10. I'm quite sure that the rift will be the better tracking system, but it's the screen I'm worried about. Those of you complaing about cables and low fov now, will only be complaining about screen door effect later.
  11. Alpha is feature incomplete, Beta is feature complete and in the bug testing phase. The game goes gold when it is ready for general release.
  12. MY FIRST KILL! I know you can all probably put me to shame but I am beaming right now. I've only ever dabbled in flight sims before, playing EF2000 casually when I was in my early teens and only ever dipping my toes into A-10C and the blackshark before giving up; this is the first time I've actually taken a simulator seriously and I'm hooked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I notice that when he turns he uses lots of rudder to bring the nose down during a turn; I have always been trying to keep the slip indicator centred even when trying to pull a similar turn, do I not need to worry about the slip indicator so much? Also prior to this sortie I've always left the radiator doors in automatic (and many times blown up the engine), for this sortie I deliberately set a control on my hotas and opened them fully with no problems (although you may notice in the track that I deliberately kept my RPM below maximum); is this something you guys do and is there any disadvantage to having the coolant go below the green mark? 13. Yes, please do a tutorial.
  14. I did this too. I haven't done any testing but it certainly feels more precise.
  15. I would be very much interested in one of these.
  16. I haven't flown the dora yet, but you do realise that the mustang has instrument lighting as well right?
  17. Thanks for the update, I'm considering an extension as well now.
  18. Thanks. So how exactly does the gyro work then? I assumed that it would show you where in space your rounds would go at the set range when you pull the trigger; the reason I asked about leading being that if you are shooting at a target flying oblique to you, the target would no longer be at that point in space when the rounds get there. I assumed that the gyro was only capable of computing your own inertia not the lead on the target.
  19. Do I still need to lead with the gyro sight? I'm still struggling to hit anything.
  20. Is the auto lower/raise realistic or is it just an idiosyncrasy of the game?
  21. Adjust your curves so that the rudder maxes out before it reaches full travel.
  22. The suspense is killing me, it's going to look soooo good when you start to put it together.
  23. Damn it looks good, I'm not sure if it's the lighting or something else, but I almost want to say it looks better than a true to life cockpit. Just for a laugh, you should make a decorative Gau-8 to go under the nose.
  24. Very cool ragtop. It actually looks a lot smaller than I thought it'd be seeing it all set up like that. I'm actually reconsidering the possibility of building my own (although I can't afford the car seat and the Aces2 replica looks uncomfortable).
  25. I noticed you said you were going to drop the height of the front panel (someone else said they would do the same thing), you also said the seat was a little low. Is there any reason why you couldn't just remove the console and floor risers and just drop the entire front of the pit down a few inches?
