  1. Same issue, the exported MFCDs are VERY dim. The viper's displays seem to be particularly bad. I adjusted ingame gamma, no effect, adjusted the monitor's brightness and contrast as high as it would go, and it's still nigh unreadable.
  2. It may or may not be related, but I found that the TGP induces ever so slight amounts of yaw drag on the right. I have to trim rudder left slightly to compensate if I'm carrying the TGP. If you try to trim it out with roll, you end up slowly rolling left no matter what you do.
  3. Agreed, they're REALLY dim.
  4. One could also search "F-16 BFM" and end up with a really cool manual from 1998 with a ton of interesting information in it.
  5. According to the Planned Systems post, this version of the Viper will model the AN/APG-68(V)5. That version of the radar did not have SAR, according to my brief google searching. The first model that did come with SAR capability is the AN/APG-68(V)9.
  6. Unless I'm mistaken, in A-A mode the TGP should slew onto a bugged target automatically.
  7. I just tried CBU-87s and yeah, I agree they're a little weak. I was able to kill an SA-6 Fan Song radar, infantry and some Urals with it, but nothing else in the little clump of targets I placed was all that damaged, including SA-10 radars, some IFVs, and even a couple of semi trucks, technicals and humvees, strangely. Seems a little underpowered to me. That said, I was able to get them on target in CCIP just fine.
  8. Ok, decided to upload a video of me demonstrating it. The pipper goes on (or in my case, near) the target, you hold weapon release until the release cue drops through the FPM. FPM flashes, and CBUs come off the bird. I showed it twice in the video, once keeping the SMS in frame so you can see it's not actually changing from CCIP to CCRP, but just showing you the symbology.
  9. Works fine for me. In CCIP, the bomb fall line has a horizontal line through it below the FPM so that you can put the pipper on a target, press and hold weapon release (the symbology changes to CCRP) and pull up into the release cue. The only way I've found to get rid of the horizontal line (and thus enable instant-release of weapons) is to do it in a very steep dive, or VERY close to the ground.
  10. I tried releasing them in CCIP, CCRP and in every kind of angle and speed I could think of. Track file link below. They work just fine from high angles in both CCRP and CCIP, but trying to employ them at high speed and low altitude, like I might with Mk82AIRs, the CBU opened immediately but the bomblets drifted past the targets for the most part. You'd need to release well before the target to get the bomblets on-target. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1c8abzRYJhy6s1baowFIgm2a1p_1eyudX
  11. MSL STEP long-press wasn't working for AA mode when I tried it. It did for AG mode.
  12. It's in the early access manual.
  13. *shrug* I never flew the Viper IRL, but I also remember that source and that TMS left with the FCR as SOI initiates an IFF interrogate. That said, who the hell knows what it'll be in DCS.
  14. Intercom is the culprit, from the two startups I've done.
  15. Are your radios powered on?
  16. Thanks for keeping the positivity up in this thread, guys. Keep it coming. A lot of debbie downers out there only playing up the stuff that doesn't work.
  17. Yes indeed. I haven't gotten home from work to get in and take her for a spin yet, but thank you ED for actually giving me an early Christmas present - a Viper in DCS.
  18. Maybe it's not so bad being stuck in the Beige Hell of Fluorescent Lighting for the next 3 hours. I don't have to sit at my desk grumbling and complaining and scaring the dog.
  19. If the pilot model doesn't have a tape deck strapped to his thigh, I'll be upset.
  20. I'm totally gonna be "sick" tomorrow, not able to come in and put out fires for the people paying my salary. I'm gonna be setting some.. using LGBs..
  21. It's currently 2:11 (or, 14:11) GMT. 109 minutes left.
  22. Lucky... I gotta languish in the beige hell of fluorescent lighting until 3 hours after anticipated release. :P
  23. What a cool video!
  24. Here's a question: The F/A-18 already has the HARM. Will we be seeing that available for the Viper in POS/HAS modes before the HTS pod is released, or will you be waiting to release them as a bundled upgrade?
