the first guy who sings after his primary parachute tangles reminds me of my one and only solo jump. i would like to share the story with you all. trained all weekend, learning technique, altimeter and how to cut away the primary chute etc, i preyed i would not have to do this :) packed into a small plane with many others climed to 10,000' and exited the plane solo, 2 skilled jumpers exit with me just in case i pass out i think. had a total brain overload for a few seconds then i got my awareness back, watched the altitude carefully in order to avoid the ground, was shocked by my vertical velocity/ decent rate. ok the time to pull the ripcord was now, so i pulled it, and nothing. waiting, nothing, immediate concern quickly turning to panic. i swung my body to look up for a canopy and nothing is there, oh shit man. thinking now do i cut this one and hope for the reserve to work, meanwhile the ground is approaching rapidly. the turning to look must have caught the main chute's pilot chute in the wind and boom, it pulled me up like a seat belt in a car crash, after that i enjoyed the decent and did a few turns etc ending in a nice flare and a slight running landing but i was on two feet and more importantly still alive. gave out a cry of relief and kissed the earth under my feet. talking later, "sometimes they sit on your back for a while" they told me. even after this i would suggest to anyone that skydiving is a must do thing before you die, even if it's what kills you, it's a serious rush that's for sure.

How to use separate axis rudder-pedals?
G3 replied to Schutz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
i understand what you want, but unless the axis support for rudder has changed in DCS from LOFC, you are out of luck. with the g-25 try tick combined axis in "windows game controller" settngs for the g-25 under the settings options, then use your g-25 throttle and brake as rudder, using only a single axis and then use your clutch as wheel brake:thumbup: hope that helps. may also be possible with some joystick emulator software out there, like ppjoy but not sure. -
a handy hint to make the manual print full A4 size: when printing from the pdf on the printer i used anyway, in properties i had to set original paper size to B5, print paper size to A4. and finishing was set to 2 sided (double sided printing). much better than 385 single pages worked a treat  :book:

:megalol::thumbup: my thoughts exactly. good to see the th2go setup with BS and motion platform. o/t and thinking out loud: wonder if you can you stack 2 th2go 3x2 on sli system the verticle view seems so slotted, similar to loFC. hey Nate, He's the guy who first helped me with the th2go view settings

weekly dvd check, already perfect. it has no problem, it's the solution most would prefer to stay with, and the reason many opt for the hard copy cd/dvd in the first place. all my fingers, toes, arms and legs are crossed hoping they do not change the cp on the cd/dvd.

the network from the TB server on your game pc, to the laptop with a touchbuddy client running your profile is no problem, easily configured to your lan ip settings, heaps of info at website. as for the touchbuddy server talking to the game for modules etc ? no idea sure will be interesting to see whats possible. BS pits will be amazing if you can have shkval and abris on correctly scaled monitors/touchscreens if needed. maybe you could touch the abris to aim the shkval screen, crazy, who knows? as i said, sure will be interesting and fun experimenting.

and a groundcrew that are ready 24/7, along with instant delivery of a new ka-50 everytime you turn it into scrapmetal. it will be worth it, if you enjoy your sims, then it's worth it. big screen, good pc, quality hotas, collective if you're lucky, trackir, pedals. the initial investment may seem steep, but well worth it in the long run. with the odds of becoming totally engulfed in blackshark for many hours, you will appreciate having all this equipment, i have no doubt about it.

regular patching seems a good protection philosophy. takes the wind from the pirates' sails and help sales. i would like to think that any self respecting player of ED's new sim, will choose to own this software legitimately reguardless. i consider it our duty to the genre, and to ED. allowing them to continue providing us with top notch new DCS modules for many years to come.

thankyou
