  1. wondered about this also, good question: so the 128/128 is just for clients host set as per bandwidth available? as for keeping all clients the same: would be nice if it were possible to force it server side. ignoring client settings, eg: client kbps = xxx kbps maybe in bs with any luck
  2. how excitement, BIG  ED forget the cp, same old same old. now pls ftp that eng pdf asap, :book: maybe its up already: checking now, no not there yet. checking again, not there yet. once more, nope not yet, checking again

    new isp with iptv

giving adsl2 a go and the isp has iptv. it caught my eye as it has a Russian news channel. it says i can view the show "russia today RT" channel broadcast in english which sounds good for me. previously i have been watching sbs Russian news, callled HTB or NTV, but its in Russian and my Russian, well she ain't so good, and apparently neither is my english. just wondering is this "Russia Today, RT" like a serious current affairs report or is it tabloid rubbish like fox news ?
  5. thanks for the headsup Hitman:thumbup: soooooooooo.... any good ?
  6. where do threads go, into clothes. and thats how they become clothes-ed threads.
  7. are there any events like this in aus, i havent heard of any otherwise i would have been at them and already had a fly of this DCS white pointer (good one burnzoire) maybe we could start one  i will go, even if its just one pc with dcs on it. can see it now: come on, move over its my go again f__koff you just had a go, bullsh_t mate.
  8. in controls the ability to see all axis and key mappings at one time, device names across the top, good thinking. and who wants to bet it doesn't jump back to the top of the list when you clear one.:megalol: i see it now has a "clear category" button:smartass: looking really good, thanks for the update.
  9. eb: can we safely assume thats a hemisphere joke Deigs: when dcs bs comes out i am sure it will have a strong following down under just like lofc. i for one and several of my mates will definitely be getting into some multiplayer action, make no mistake about that. i am sure there will be squads forming, or existing ones crossing over to the helos.
  10. very tidy work  most impressive. sorry i do not have your answer, does anyone have the answer to the original question.
  11. weird, i picked up another motherboard the same and flashed it in an identical manner and it worked perfectly without any issue. so who knows, no user cockups this time Pilotasso  yet i followed the same proceedure, so who knows.
  12. good point, recently i went from the th2go back to a single screen, what a huge difference it makes, big resolutions cripple even the latest solutions. but generally i would agree with Kuky and Urze that lofc is cpu limited for most users.
  13. at first everyone will suck (at piloting the blackshark), then after a while you should suck less than before. when someone new comes along, theoretically they should suck more than you, as you should now suck less than you did originally. if you still find you suck more than the new guy sucks, when you should in fact suck less than a new sucker then after a while you will realize that hey, i really suck.
  14. rfactor, awesome racing sim, virtually any series or track you can think of are available to download. once again, not enough options in the vote.
  15. the first tank picture looks like a render, theres no way thats an in game dcs bs screenshot  (although it does look very similar) great pics Torwak, thanks for sharing.
  16. aspect is calculated as: total horizontal resolution divided by the vertical resolution. in your case that would be: (1600 x 3 ) = 4800 horizontal divided by 900 vertical aspect ratio = 5.33333 and lots of other 3's  just use the same amount of decimal places as the default settings. when this is set incorrectly circles appear as ovals etc, thats the easiest way to tell if you got it right. thats a hell of a lot a dots, please share some screens when you get it working, cheers.
  17. hannibal, love the heli pit, great work.
  18. good thinking Kuky, coincidently i was experimenting with similar setups myself yesterday. only 1 screen but rotated 90' and then 2 stacked vertically. see here under: alternate widescreen configurations. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31750 i think 3x widescreens rotated 90' each would be awesome with SoftTH good to hear from Urze and also good to hear that it does work. just like th2go but with more vertical view. being able to see above the canopy, hud and instruments, all the way down to the stick, sweet. 3 cheap 20" or bigger widescreens is not that expensive these days. looking forward to see the pics of that 6 screen setup, (blocked). edit: Urze now i see that 6 screen setup, thats simply amazing, well done.
  19. today i experimented with some different monitor setups. 1. the first was 2x 19" widescreens spanned vertically. setting the desktop resolution to 1440x1800 (1800 = 2x 900) with an aspect ratio of 0.8 with full screen = 0 this worked very well, allowing for the viewing of the canopy and hud in the top screen and the tews and vsd up top on the lower screen. with the view zoomed in so the vsd and tews were at the top outer edges of the lower screen, and the canopy compass and launch lights just visible up top of the upper screen. the split between the screens was not a big problem as the outside view is mainly in the top screen, it definitley worked well for looking up and to the side while cornering. all the while being able to keep an easy eye on the essential instruments, which is what you miss out on with the th2go. 2. the second option i tried was 1x 19" widescreen rotated 90' now in the vertical position. (900 x 1440) as i had found previously if you use the correct resolution and aspect ratio there appears a half inch banded line up the top of corrupt textures for want of a better term. for vertically longer aspect ratios it seems this wierd half inch line appears whenever attempting to go under an aspect of less than 0.75 this can be resolved by sacrificing a little bit of real estate top and bottom. so on the now vertical monitor, originally 900x1400, i reduced the vertical resolution to 900x1200 and an aspect of 0.75 and fullscreen = 0, i achieved a similar view as described above but without the screen bezel split in the middle. i found both of the above configurations to be excellent for keeping an eye on your instruments, vsd and tews while still being able to look at the hud and your enemies, all without panning around or using the trackir, yet :) just remember, the default aspect for a typical widescreen monitor is 1.6, rotated 90' it becomes 0.625, this is when you get the banding across the top and the whole reason why i sacrificed some of the vertical pixels and settled for 900x1200 and an aspect of 3/4 or 0.75 and don't forget to set fullscreen = 0, i think it fails to run the game if you do not, that's it. would be great if any owners of widescreens would try this vertical rotated screen idea and share your thoughts, and maybe some screenshots if so inclined. i think it has some potential, see what you think. edit: now Kuky suggests 3x widescreens rotated 90' vertically, basically a longer version of th2go using SoftTH love your way of thinking :)
  20. an Ironhand F-15 radar training series sounds like a top idea,
  21. the best thing about a possible release this year is that this year is almost over , dcs in the xmas stocking, yes please.
  22. C-130 anyone :megalol:, an updated Eagle for me pls.
  23. in the near future i will be setting up again and i will document the procedure. until then check here: http://www.touch-buddy.com/forums/public-chat/825-lovp-tb-integration.html
  24. quick summary: this is refering to the asus p5n32e sli motherboard and flashing the bios to version 1503 using the ezflash 2 utility and a cdrom. after having some lockup issues and reading alot i figured i better flash the original motherboard bios and see if that helps as i a running out of ideas. as per previous experience and general conscensis, i would usual use the a:\ with the new bios file and the dos flash utility. though i had done a bios flash recently using a usb stick with success, i tried that on mine using the asus ezflash 2 (built in bios flash utility) but it failed to read the usb stick as a drive or removeable device although i could happily see it as being recognized in the bios itself so hmmm. ok then read i could burn the bios file to a cdrom and that worked ok. i watched it go thru and erase the current bios, write the new one and then verify it. then pops up a message it will reboot in five seconds and it all screens go black, still black, waiting waiting, oh dear still black. fearing the worst i impatiently let it sit for a while, then rebooted. fans start, everthing seems normal, no beep, still all black, panic fills the air. insane laughter fills my head with thoughts of "you idiot, now you've done it, noooooooooo" next idea, power off, reboot, still all black. next idea, remove the m/b battery, and leave it for a while. thinking the worst and of what motherboard to get next it was then i returned for the moment of truth and, thank whoever you believe in, but it booted up with the new v1503 bios in there. quickly reconfigured the memory timings etc and life was good once again. after 2 days of gaming not a problem touch wood, it has to run 2 weeks of solid nightly gaming to get my stamp of stability , so far so good.
  25. true these days many people have powerful capable systems. its by no means showing off as such, don't think of it like that. rather look at it this way, it's sharing your tech experience and demonstrating whats possible for others to enjoy with you. its great that you take the time to spread the word, for someone new getting into it, such info is priceless :) and its great to combine knowledge on the subject
