G3 replied to G3's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
G'day Kuky, i have had similar success with other items. did u go direct thru natural point? and how long was the shipping from purchase to delivery? still prefer the cash exchange for local goods in hand, but we will see, am quickly running out of time tp get it under the tree. -

looking for a trackir5 retailer in Australia ?
G3 posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
decided santa should bring me one of these for xmas, any idea where i should suggest she pick one up? the prices on the natural point site for a the Aus dealer where a bit rich. ebay has them for around $330 AU delivered including the track clip pro. still running the aging tir3pro so this should be a nice upgrade, so if you know of any good promo's etc don't keep it a secret. -
wonderful work Kpaw :smartass: it just gets better and better :book:

i'm with u Frazer, and i see that thing has a second seat :D

love the head on your collective, really enjoying your build, and the mention of additional "tabs" around the abris etc, you sure know the way to a blokes heart

a good read and a great result  well done EtherealN

the G-25 pedals are push, that's what i use also. but i would say to use the slide option for rudder and if no cyclic lever use the push option on the ch pedals for brake. remembering to remove the g-25 mappings from the rudder (if you leave it plugged in while flying)

How does Black Shark Engine render Multi card video

nothing useful to offer but wow, looking good, hope you get it to a playable fps. -
well done on your work so far. this is really good progress forgive me, not up on this stuff but as i understand with a little skill we can now turn anywhere in the world into a lockon map?

on my th2go setup to allow for the bezel gaps i move the display position in on the side monitors using the monitor's own user interface controls, provided you monitor allows such movement of the image. so hopefully there's an inch or so of unused screen on the outside edge, same with your bottom screen, just sacrifice a bit @ the bottom and move it up to align any diagonal lines of the pit. (some image is in theory now behind the bezels) those x and y positions may also be your answer, as i am sure you know they determined the camera positions. you could try adding some x to the left and subtracting some x for the right, and also reducing the y on the bottom screen. there are a couple of options for you to try, see how you go. either way, great setup and good luck. a lot of th2go owners could benefit from a bottom screen

nice find, how annoying, good your running smooth again love to see more of your pit, video on the way you say? :)

Mnemonic, i stumbled upon these works by shear chance just doing a google. having missed this thread originally, it was a pleasant surprise. tidy work, thanks for the new desktop

FC v2.0 is really good news

great feedback about the trackir, like a skydive, it has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. & getting old people on sims is top stuff, they love it too. we have our share around here.

what a great achievement, full startup no keys, hours of fun ahead. i haven't done one at all yet :D

glad you got the thread going again, looking amazing. your pit in general is the ducks guts

a couple more for you to check out: these are all single screen 1280x800 in this shot the instruments are positioned somewhat as they are in the virtual pit. this layout was running 2 instances of bsvp but only the first one was getting data i think Mnemonic said it would be possible to feed data to both instances. if not i am sure it will be simple to extend one bsvp across 2 monitors on the networked pc. the same as above using the alt+f1 view note the camera view is 1280x400 aspect 3.2 this did set the hms position too high but could be my fault messing with the resolution settings. alt+f1 view about to smoke that oncoming truck same with f2 view and another now this one below was using alt+f1 but with camera @ 1280x800 the shkval and abris are there without doing anything else, simply resize the bsvp window and gauges to suit. i wonder if it is possible to have the camera view and the hud to remain stationary, and just make the trackir move the hms, this would be good for people with home pits where the cockpit is not required on screen. hms position was back to normal in this one with cannon attacking the locals a view like this might be good for people with a big tv or projector and no other screens, you can resize abris/shkval and bsvp to your heart content. and finally one to show how bsvp remains in position as you look around with the hms, reminds me of the r22 view in msfs. in these shots the bsvp window is well down below the bottom of the screen, this was necessary due to the bsvp window scaling in relation to the vertical window size. also all gauges had to be positioned from the middle of the bsvp window. Mnemonic: a few ideas, 1. is it possible to make the bsvp background optional like: transparent, totally black or gone altogether? 2. can we have an option to remove the window header and border without going full screen? 3. can you please advise on making 2 instances of bsvp work together? 4. the reflection on the instruments glass, can that also be optional? 5. the needle jumping, can the data be filtered a little to supress the spiking? (to ignore massive sudden changes) note: am noticing quite a lot of gauge needle jumping, this seems to be a lot worse in local host mode (only 1 pc) that's about it for my laptop experiments :), hope you enjoyed the show.

Gadroc seems to make it look easy, that's enough credit for him :D i must say DD, what takes me a page of confusion to explain, you have a knack of doing the same with much greater flare in two lines. great to hear of more stuff to come

(copy of same post from BSVP thread) looking really good DD, thankyou for the eng export. SIMply a wonderful setup :) here is another of my test configurations: laptop @ 1280x800 with second screen @ 1024x1280 with touchpal + abris/shkval and BSVP below all playing nicely, it's a beautiful thing. we know with crazy monitor setups win7/dcs crashes. i took this screenshot by pressing print screen key (SysRq) when win7/dcs bs crashes, just hit the windows key start paint, paste, resize as required and save. thanks again to all involved for making this possible.

A few questions about multi-monitor setup
G3 replied to einar-st's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
i came across this one too and found that if i called up the mission status window (the comma button left of enter) and grab the top bar of that window to drag it around, you can then use it to black out the unusd area where the blue start up screen still shows thru. -
Sobe, i am only guessing i am sorry, not worthy of being called help. do not give up, maybe try starting again fresh, ensuring all files are in the right places and follow instructions precisely (not saying you didn't) :) the creator will have valid advice i am sure. CyBerKut, getting these two apps working together is a hot topic, i am sure it won't be long, pretty cool alright. Gadroc, do you see the future including network support and gui editor. calling all .Lua-natics, i will happily try any suggested edits to get these two apps playing nicely together.

network setup is the way lets hope our french tester does the network test on the same setup for comparison

you are most welcome, i like to share :) that's what it's all about, hell i'm just showing a few pics and thinking out loud, in a few days it's as valuable to me as it is to anyone else, i have the memory of a donut. imagine this with the bsvp client pc running 2 screens with bsvp spread/spanned/extended across both. (the above depending on your os/videocard combination) picture one screen either side of the abris and shkval, allowing you to place the egt, turbine and fuel gauges to the right of centre, next to the abris. the remainder on the left hand side next to shkval as it is in the real pit, oh yeah this really is going to be something. now you can easily fly this puppy around without even looking @ the big screen :) remote pc hint: when setting up the networked pc, you edit the export.lua on the main pc and add the address of the client pc to the line that is not ignored (the one without the -- host = host or "localhost") quote from site: If you want to launch BSVP from remote PC then please, in file "Export.lua" change line [host = host or "localhost"] to something like [host = host or "192.168.0.100"] where specify your remote PC IP adress, as always take care of your firewalls. end quote i put mine client ip into the wrong line and wondered what was up until the penny dropped so make sure you edit the correct line. hopefully this saves someone a headache. still can't believe it's a reality, thanks again Mnemonic and 3dvrm look forward to seeing what we all come up with in the coming days/weeks. Surely a few current home pits will be getting the bsvp upgrade Trigger? has anyone combined those export.lua files yet :D Mnemonic, i noticed when using the editor, which is great by the way and more than adequate, the gauges seem to have a point of origin, say around 12 inches behind the panel, causing the instruments to move in an arc. it's most noticeable when moving the adi around, to the outer edges of your bsvp window. you can see the blue pitch ladder behind the adi would it be possible to move this reference point further back to reduce this effect?
