  1. not real sure, haven't seen that myself. q. have you got it connected direct to pc or via a hub, if so is it powered? q. have you made any other changes lately, added extra usb divices etc? if all else fails maybe reinstall the software and go from there.
  2. at first glance your figures appear correct, will have a look at mine to confirm. you are very close, it will be something simple i bet, stay tuned. confirm you have the in game options showing your 1920x1080 resolution, and you also have your monitor config "Jocman" selected there also. ------------------------------------------------------------------ ok here we go, lets get this sorted. forget the phantom stuff, that was bs v1.0 check your editing: it's easy to neglect your colon, :D at the end of the lines with edited values make sure you have ";" and not "," i left one out altogether and BS failed to start, all from a simple typo, big chance this is it if what you posted was a cut n paste? i suggest compare your custom one against an un edited monitor config the Jocman test config ok, just did a quick test on the laptop, to compare with your desired result i listed these settings for the following configuration: (laptop camera view 1280x800, with a second screen 1280x1024 for shkval on the right) and i must say it worked a treat. in windows 7: (mine is x64 but can't imagine it would matter) the #1 screen is the laptop, #2 is for the shkval screen (when you hit identify) make sure it says multiple displays: extend these displays. when you have selected screen #1, in your case the 1920x1080, it should also say "this is your main screen" make sure in the options.lua, the multimonitor section says fullscreen = false these are the figures: options.lua height = 1024 (max high of second screen in this case) res = 1280x800 (laptop screen) width = 2560 (total as you know) the monitor config: center x = 0 y = 0 width = 1280 height = 800 aspect = 1.6 shkval x = 1280 y = 0 width = 1280 height = 1024 now if you get it right, when it starts up the blue screen with the shark blowing stuff around, it should display across both the screens to some extent if not completely. see below for a screenshot, which by the way crashes the game, i went printscreen, alt tab, open a new bitmap, edit, paste and save :D you can see how the area between height 800 and 1024 is blank on the main, this is because the main is only 800 high and and second screen is 1024 :) as defined in the options lua height setting of 1024, if you main screen is the tallest, you will not get this. as far as i can see your figures are good to go, hope this helps. good luck with it.
  3. glad you got it sorted, truely wonderful isn't it
  4. great to have this thread return to life, as do others, i too thoroughly enjoy watching your build progress
  5. that's right, set it in windows display settnig below the main, adjust your options lua H & W to suit, res to stay the same. subtrack your horizontal res from the abris and shkval positions in your monitor config, and edit touchpal.xml to position tp below the main. ---------------------------------- finally got my setup configured on xp with th2go, and tp with abris and shkval on an extra screen to the right. horizonal span was not an option as it changes to th2go middle screen and tp screen only disabling my left and right th2go screens so i set it to dual view. i just don't think it can span that high a res horizontally?, not sure. took a major performance hit, i understand it's alot of pixels :) going from 30-40 fps without the 4th screen, and down to 8-10 fps with the 4th screen and it's basically a slide show. options lua set to w= 4864, H = 1024, res 3840x1024 with the monitor config set accordingly. also tried with the 4th screen below, w = 3840, H = 1792 resluts were about the same. wondering if you guys are suffering the same kind of performance loss? had it totally working though and it is most impressive to finally use on my flight setup, previous testing was only on my laptop. would also like to add that for a while i could not get touchpal to start up, this was caused by me not having the dotnetfix 3.5 sp1 installed. after that all was well. this app is just begging for the networked option, which i believe is possible already but not so good for abris and shkval. would really be nice if ED can work out how to share the load across multiple pc's, as MSFS does with their view options. as i understand it each pc has the game/sim installed and the view data comes from the main pc. keep up the good work, makes the sim so much easier to fly  edit: on my intended setup for the shark, which is a 1280x720 projector with TP & bsvp, the performance loss has far less impact, so for now it's just not a viable option to run it with the th2go.
  6. looks amazing already, love the kids checking out what you're up to. Well son, it's an A-10.
  7. Gozr, i was checking your site out yesterday, looking @ this, haven't tried the GT's, they look nice that's for sure and you seem suitably impressed. rfactor is a great game/sim, i think it would be far to call it a sim  in the same context we use it to describe ED's games/sims what about the v8's (v8factor v1.3) do you like them too, we ran some laps @ Abu Dhabi - Yas Marina circuit tonight. good to see some of us also enjoy racing
  8. hey Gadroc, wondering how your latest touchpal profile is going, i understand you are pit building also, and i dare say taking the occasional flight so all in good time, loving what we have so far. looked into the profile editing business myself yesterday, being the master coder i am (not) i decided to change a few values, :smartass: managed to move the stop button to the centre of the bottom panel, and then shifted the entire abris panel, sounds like nothing i know, but i was pretty pleased with my initial efforts, haha :D made me think an option for some might be a small touchscreen which could display the in game abris and the touchpal abris panel with the 5 buttons below it. anyway, enough of my waffle, would love a screenie or 3 (no pun intended) if you have made any progress.
  9. ts2 and ts3 seem to be fine together, the other night we had some guys on our ts2, and others testing out ts3 funny bit was one guy connected as a client on both ts2 and ts3, and he was talking to both groups at once :D
  10. i think you will find the terminology is referring to the same thing
  11. currently being the happy owner of a th2go analogue, i am interested to know more about the digital version. i saw an rfactor racing setup the other day with 3 massive TV's that each looked like they were big enough for the lounge room, and i would assume they'd be able to handle 1920x1080 each. that would probably be their "native" resolution which to me means "ideal". I read a while back the max resolution was increased via firmware, yet it could still only do 3x 1650 across i thought maybe these days the digital th2go might handle 3x 1920x1080, q1. what is the max res available these days for digital th2go? q2. what res do your usually run dcs or other games in using the th2go digital? pretty much just feeling the water to see if the upgrade to digital is viable. thanks.
  12. wow, progressing very nicely. a perfect config for 1 big screen and 3 instrument panels below. i see from the thumbnail, res is set to 3072x768, 3x 1024x768. lets hope those panels come in a 3x 1280x1024 version, please :) love your work.
  13. good luck with this, concept and design looks good, (check "who's" online) first thing i saw was a pop up add which is slightly annoying. seems like a great place for all the latest news in one plaza great job so far  nicely done
  14. at present LOVP is RU style only, US style gauge are on the wish list. +1 for US style please Mnemonic
  15. i believe it is not a selectable option as such in game, but may be selected thru the ME when creating or editing a mission, achieved by choosing either start from runway or parking area for the player or client ka-50  only if possible, might be an idea for the next release/patch/module, if it was added to the options screen, it could go right next to the "always use these settings" tick box. something like: "always cold start from parking area" tick box. the idea is the easy bit :D
  16. wow, possibilities of this are amazing. well done indeed, FC2 with this will be even better for the glass pit builder
  17. GA, everytime you post i think it's ready, stop it :)
  18. now how can you say no to a pom pom waving smilie in a pink skirt :megalol:
  19. great use of an ext usb number pad, good one
  20. bloody hell, that is sweet, top job.
  21. please check forum rules and stick to one classic comment per post :D thanks for the giggle.
  22. if we were talking lockon then yes, it would be graphics.cfg. but DCS BS graphics settings are found in: ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua in options.lua look for the graphics section and there you will find the aspect and res settings. the aspect ratio and res should also be selectable via the in game options menu note: if u edit the lua files it is recommended to use a editor such as notepad++
  23. Kpaw, just tried out your profile tonight and i have to say it was terrific  love how you have a button to change pages, very nicely done. also your included pdf was a nice touch, albeit in french but i looked at the pictures and joined the dots :) (being "trylingual" is a fault of mine not yours, as in i "try" to read it but she no makey much sensy) i also liked the way your TP profile has it's own folder, requiring nothing more than a touchpal.xml change. well done, very thorough and a tidy example of how a profile should be done. ddahlstrom, updated to your new TP.exe and had it all running locally, will be testing across the network next time. cannot express how impressed i am with how smart you guys are, great work. tried out your 800x600 profile, yet the 1024 version still displayed gadroc's original, was that the intention? Sobe, from one simple end user to another, and for anyone using BSVP with TP, the latest version of TP along with bsvp work together no problem. sometimes these guys forget we are flat out just getting the software configured, let alone understanding how the hell they manage to create it in the first place :D my priority now is to get both apps set up on a remote pc and get that TP service setup. after some experimenting last night, it seems you can place the bsvp gauges in the transparent areas of the TP panel, eg: the abris area. this opens up the potential for creating a pretty realistic layout of the pit across several screens on a remote pc. digital_steve, when you edit the options.lua to width 2048, when your shark loads up (the blue background with stuff blowing everywhere) when you edit to 2048, if working correctly i believe it should stretch this image across both monitors but in game the pit should display only on the left screen.
  24. if your game cockpit is across both screens then it sounds like a resolution setting in the options.lua. a bit rusty but there is a setting in there that sets the in game resolution, which is different from the overall size of your multi monitor setup. go back to basics, you need to get this working on it's own first. forget the abris and shkval for now, we will get to that later. in you options.lua try set it back to a known working setup, eg: 1camera (either enter it manually or better still select 1camera thru in game options menu) below is a few extracts from option.lua that should work for you. ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera", ["fullScreen"] = false, ["aspect"] = 1.3333333333333, ["height"] = 768, ["resolution"] = "1024x768", ["width"] = 2048, }, -- end of ["graphics"] } -- end of options now personally i edit the monitorsetup file with numbers that match my settings. i get a little confused with the * and / business :) example of the 1camera.lua for you below: Description = 'One monitor configuration' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1024; height = 768; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.33; } } now if that gets the cockpit view on your left screen only, we can move on to the abris and shkval.
