hey Taipan, i know you like the multiscreen action so i thought you might like to check this out, only leavu2 parts working so far :D http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=964229&postcount=138

guys, thanks for the answers, my brevity is pretty poor so i will assume "tally" means keeping a visual till the merge, had not heard that one before. Kuky, i think you described the issue in a better way than i had, would be great if it can be resolved by a new model or whatever. Tomace, will try the reduced AA option and see how that goes sounds like a far compromise but visuals will obviously suffer. i remember someone else suggesting this AA trick long ago but i guess these days when you have the horsepower you want to rev it.

so modellod edits will make you fail integrity checks on most servers, that is understandable but for interest sake it would be great to not have the vanishing effect without compromising the integrity checks i wonder does this not worry most people, or is it less prevelant on single screen setups, it seems like an issue worthy of discussion. using a th2go and a trackir, i am flatout remembering where my head is, where the plane is, where the ground is and now you want me to remember where the enemy is :megalol: for offline/unrestricted servers can anyone suggest some edits to try not so you can see planes at unrealistic distances and so on, that rings a bell but is not the desired result here

GG, thank goodness you mentioned that, whatever causes the model appear to change/vanish at around 2nm has been driving me crazy, and it seems this is affected by the cockpit zoom too? dogfight scenario you get in close, and just as it gets interesting it's like i see him, come here, hey where did he go, lost him would be great to see this addressed if that is a possibilty in the future.

Moa, great to hear work on leavu2 instruments is still progressing, very interested to learn more on how you created the AOA indicator. already we have an adi ball, do you think it is possible to get all the main gauges working such as alt, adi, hsi, speed, fuel etc. here's a few pics of my concept of a virtualpit from left to right pic1 laptop running fc2 on a second screen above the laptops screen running 3x leavu2 mfd's over the top of a cockpit screenshot :) blackened the top corners where you could see the ground/sky you can see where this is going i hope (think leavu2+lovp+touch-buddy/pal) pic2 leavu2 and fc2 running on one screen fc2 set @ 1280x342 (same aspect as th2go scaled down to fit 1 screen) leavu2 displaying fcr, rwr and hsd note: you can see the nav route and the position of the tdc within the selected radar scan cone, both of which i have found can be very handy pic3 same as above with f2 view of a dying eagle and displaying the weapons on the 3rd mfd to get the cockpit screenshot in the first image i had to manipulate the view position, editing view/server.lua was the trick to get it all looking square. and i plan to take a similar cockpit screenshot using the full resolution of the th2go all mfd's were created to be frameless and a quick edit of the key bindings allows for all 3 or more mfd's to be controlled without the buttons Q. when you create a button-less mfd, you first postion and size it, is it possible to edit the position and size after it's creation?

good one shu, handy for those less familiar  like me

still using it, not sure how i ever did without it, unless you're meaning plain leavu for fc1 this program is pit builders delight, i for one would love to see it's development continued with more community input

got a question for win7 users, i would like to have the leavu2.jar pinned to the taskbar i have all other things like ch software, trackir and game shortcuts down there for easy 1 click startup and i would like to have the same thing with the leavu2.jar but it complains when i try to pin it and "computer says NO" :) in the attached image there are 4x mfd's from left to right, top to bottom FCR, RWR, stores and HSD the bottom right mfd is set to display the hsd this view is pure gold and so far something i am finding very helpful the HSD shows the plane is slightly left of the intented route so you can zoom in and use it for nav, similar to the sharks abris the scale is set to 20 so you can see the radar is set at 10 with a bandit to the right. having the HSD and the FCR both displaying on mfd's really is helping me to understand the radar and where it is scanning, not to mention the brilliant features added by ERI heres a screenshot of fc2 on the laptop 1280x800 with 4x mfd's on a second screen @ 1280x1024 (top screen was taken by in game screenshot, while the bottom half was a screendump so the timeline is slightly off between the two but not much)

not really sure about how much time you have spent in the shark, if at first i could of had some advice it would have been something like: hit flight director, enter hover & trim, learn how you fly it, then learn how to fly it (as in entering FD gives you control, with it off you learn to let it fly you)

sorry dp

yoda, well done. just have to share how excited i am to see leavu2 running on my pc, and would like to simply say thankyou for a magnificent addon to FC2 using win 7 64 (so far local only) following the instructions i installed the client copied the config/export files to fc2 copied the client dll's to win7/syswow64 installed the jre got the error so found the missing msvcr100.dll to win7/syswow64 (link for that file in the 1st post of this thread) started up the leavu2.jar opened 3 mfd's and connected to sim saved positions with the leavu2 preset function started FC2 and they all came to life, thankyou very much. for anyone with a th2go where you either need to look down or sideways to see these instruments, leavu2 on a second (4th) screen is definitely something you need to try

assuming it is still mapped as default in game try holding "left cntrl" then hitting "z" the more you hit z the more time accel

Cross FC2 and Black Shark mission editing
G3 replied to Grimes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Grimes i did the exact same thing i thought i was the shark master :D in another example of cross editing between pc's or between bs and fc2 lets say you make a mission callled x1 created on dcs bs with "scenes set to low" in options.lua so then you open this mission x1 on another dcs bs machine or fc2 machine that has "scenes set to high", you edit and save mission x1 if i understand it correctly the mission x1 will now have the scenes set to high so this is another example where you have to check your settings. searched previously without any joy but i for one, would really like to see a full explanation of what all the settings in the options.lua do and which ones are enforced by the server in multiplayer. -
enjoying your missions, thanks for the update.

same here, and hopefully others will too :), better still someone new might pickup on his work, Ironhand's stuff is top notch.

Nvidia SLI performance for DCS and LO comparision
G3 replied to G3's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
yes, comparing th2go and the nvidia solution is now my primary objective as it really has me wondering if "3way" or "tri-sli + th2go" is the way to go sadly to my knowledge the th2go analog does not support portrait mode so for testing i will revert back to lanscape to keep things uniform while testing. the monitors i am using have both vga and dvi inputs so the th2go on vga and 3way using dvi will reduce the amount of plugging and unplugging so to speak. should be a simple nvidia cntrl panel change to jump between the 2 configs, and in game should require no edits between the 2 setups, swt. i have noticed with the 3way sli (one card to each screen) there seems to be a slight vertical lag and a momentary misalignment of the images between screens as i move the view around with the trackir also picked up a new cpu trying to do my best to eliminate the apparent cpu bottleneck, and i have to add i was pretty stoked to finally manage to hit 4Ghz rock solid :) cpu is a C2D E8600 with a 10x multi so i simply cranked the fsb from 333 to 400, do the math. -
i just want to set up the second screen everyone has on their right, it's just begging for multimonitor configuration :) look in the folder /data/scripts/options.lua it's all their guys come on let's get some leavu2 or going, who is running this show :D

Unable to contact tower for taxi
G3 replied to insectkiller007's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
it's not the ` "tilde" key under escape you will find it's the \ "slash" key situated below the backspace key or above the enter key for that matter, try that and then follow the menu options -
wait till a client joins before activating a group
G3 replied to G3's topic in User Created Missions General
thank Speed, modified it so the air base has a once in zone for each client, works a treat :) -
as a total amateur mission builder i decided it was about time so i put together a basic mission and the desired effect was to have the awacs taxi out as soon as but not before a client joins the server. so i made some triggers (one for each client) to say if any client is alive then activate group "awacs" which was delayed by 23hours as you do. this worked fine testing as a local client on the same pc as the server but when joining as a client across the lan or net no awacs appears, why, me no no. so instead i created a trigger zone around the home airfield and edited the trigger rules to say if client enters trigger zone the activate awacs. will test it out today and see if that works, hope so. edit: yes this way worked best for me. the whole idea is so that the server can be up waiting for clients but the action doesn't start until someone joins. once again it works fine when testing as a local client joining your own server on the same pc. i am sure there is a better way but i have only just begun :) so be gentle. suggestions welcome.

yes that's a good one, i have been most appreciative of that duplicate button for creating routes etc for multiple clients, would be good to have that option in the conditions and actions columns also if possible and also the + and - functions would also be handy in those other columns too. sorry to hear your thread got lost, it's at great mod you have created
-
have never tried it that way so take these ideas with a grain of salt. copying over the whole folder may work if you have a backup of the old 32bit reg key, and import it after you reinstall the game then maybe just maybe it will work if you installed to the same place with uac turned off but not truely sure. copying over the whole folder is normally ok but you may run into trouble with it requiring another activation due to the swap between 32 and 64 bit OS, will be interested to hear how you go.
-
weird you lost one for no hardware change but hey, see this post for how to activate once and forget http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=46486&highlight=reg+key

your pit really is great  i see that full screen portrait mode for lovp would help your gauges.

great pics as always, almost feels like i was there  thanks for sharing
