purchasing thru d2d, does this create any problems with getting more activations when the time comes?
-
well done firstly, it is a great feeling when you get this working. from your image it appears you have used half the width of your secondary screen for each, so simply swap the x coordinates for the abris and shkval in your "multi monitor" setup, that should do it.

i was using g25 throttle and brake pedals but too close together, then saw this it is possible to get the g-25 clutch and gas pedal working as rudder for wide stance, just read a thread on it now  have a squiz http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52620

it should work fine on win7, lets get it sorted. at first glance your numbers look roughly right. check that aspect setting in options.lua, it looks wrong ["aspect"] = 2.8125, should be the camera view aspect setting of 1.7 (although i think this it is irrelavent to the in game camera view where aspect ratio is set in monitorsetup but can't hurt to make them the same. set to 0 and game crashes so make it the same and be done with it. if you intend on using the whole second screen your figures are slightly out for the abris and shkval, width would be half 1280 i suggest not using the / option for shkval height, instead use the actual value. also you may wish to edit x positions accordingly in game options the in game "resolution" you want to see is the 1600x900 (as set in options.lua) below that is "aspect" and most importantly below that is "monitors" and that needs to point to your edited monitorsetup file, named "Test1" according to your options.lua. if it's named something else make sure that you point to the correct one. your symptoms are very much as if it's looking at the wrong monitorsetup file, see question 2. question time q1. in windows, confirm the monitors are configured main left #1 and second on the right #2, select "extend these displays" q2.when loading do you see the shark with the blue background on either or both monitors, when working correctly it should be at least partly visible on all monitors. should be after the loading screen of the pilot walking out to the shark, and before getting into the pit this is the key, if it's not happening, it's not happening :D q3.start fresh, try copying and then modifying an original monitorsetup file and options.lua (a simple typo can be the cause of this mess) shkval+camera+abris is a perfect candidate as a base for what you want. below is an example with suggested values for your setup, if this doesn't work after doing step 3 then i am out of ideas :) as i just set it up as described above and it works a treat options.lua fullscreen false aspect 1.7 width 2880 res 1600x900 height 1024 monitorsetup centre x 0 y 0 w 1600 h 900 aspect 1.7 shkval x 1600 y 0 w 640 h 400 abris x 2240 y 0 w 640 h 800

i swear we get our skirts caught in our undies sometimes. ok so back to the "friendly competition" which was the original idea i climbed to 4700 metres last night and thought that was alright, i guess those with higher figures must be increasing power or dumping weapons? because that's all she had captain :) as for max speed i hate that alarm so i try to stay under it :D

magic work Ange, some aawesome footage and really good quality too from those vimeo links spent the last half hour or so watching some more of Ange's work, i suggest if you have time to do the same.

my first thought is the need for some dead zone in your stick roll axis i found the default game settings made my blackshark roll left, add a little deadzone and all fixed adjust your in game joy axis for roll and pitch to have a little deadzone when setting it up give your stick a flick to ensure your deadzone is greater than your spiking centre, if that is the actual cause of your problem for the eagle you may prefer to have a gentle axis curve rather than the linear input recommended for the AFM

well he obviously didn't like any of them, please post better suggestions in the future :D thanks to this thread it was the first i had heard of the new integrity check. A.S. i like the idea of locking the game down with community input, and the "check all except x" sounds good if that's possible.

good job on the tools above happy today after getting time to finally get both TP and bsvp running on a remote pc networked to my main dcs pc main pc with 1280x720 for the main camera view on the big screen and using 2 of the 3 screens below on the th2go for shkval and abris with tp in service mode on the taskbar using the combined tp and bsvp eng export lua, edited to point to the remote pc remote pc running 2 monitors, one each for tp and bsvp TP connects via lan to the TP service on the main pc (the TP.exe from ddahlstrom on both main and remote pc) when the pause key is hit TP, bsvp and the abris all come alive shkval is so much better on a dedicated screen the big res in options.lua is still killing me, it still equates to 3840x1024 as i have all monitors horizontal in windows display properties includes the projector + the left and middle screen on the th2go if it's even an option would turning off the pilots shkval and abris in the camera view help performance any? with this setup i don't see them anyway so be gone with them i think too the lower res on the shkval and abris might be the way to go, as 10fps is not adequate for smooth sailing :) getting around 30fps without all this big thanks for everyone's hard work and help so far making all this possible

there's one right there, it's often the approach that invokes the response. generally i find most people quite civil and helpful. sure some people are babies but you get them everywhere best thing is to ignore them and get on with it.

Nvidia SLI performance for DCS and LO comparision
G3 replied to G3's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
agree with you on all points, a new i7 pc will be xmas time for me. and i appreciate you being straight to the point. i would never have intentionally gone this route but the hardware is there for the testing, and rumour has it that sli could be making a difference these days? and with big resolutions i figure that could be worth the investigation. agreed it is definitely just an power hungry room heater. my current setup is an e8500 with gtx 280's in sli with 1000w antec but i get sick of swapping between sli and multi monitor and input devices so i decided to build a dedicated dcs pc out of older bits and pieces when another gtx280 fell into my clutches and so did the aging 790i mb after testing out the tri sli i intend to go back to a single card in the dcs pc and leave my other one in sli for racing and therefor not have to swap things around any longer. i read here somewhere that evga has a patch out to help newer games support sli. thanks to Gozr for this one. http://www.evga.com/articles/00463/ -
get divorced now, otherwise she'll get half your activations :D

fantastic, congratulations to the ED team and testers

time for a discussion on anything worth knowing about the current state of nvidia SLI with DCS or Lockon, especially interested in big resolutions. do the new 197.13 drivers properly support DCS in SLI looking for tests with single, dual and even triple card configs i still need a few key components like psu and ddr3 and will then be tested using the th2go @ 3840x1024 on the following pc e8500 c2d asus striker II extreme 790i ultra (tri-sli) 3x gtx280 4gig 1600 ddr3 1200w psu for those with multiple nvidia cards, please share your SLI experience here while i wait for parts

thanks for the headsup, 197.13 whql

i intend on doing something similar myself very soon so if no help arrives before hand i will document my trials and tribulations for future reference. this may help for now http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=48590&highlight=multiplayer+menu&page=2

should work no problem configure touchpal for your network as you have done for bsvp already pretty sure a newer tp exe fixes the key over lan issue great setup by the way, good luck
