  1. i took it as a shot at facebook, not the squad itself.
  2. FC v2.13  the reunification
  3. what was that? , love the close up of the horse just after "look @ my horse" funny stuff alright
  4. i saw a video of this setup the other day flying i believe A10A, 3 widescreens in portrait, really looked great, much better than landscape orientation. not sure how it was done, maybe eyefinity or softTH, but it sure looked sexy.
  5. also if i remember correctly some of the the anti ice switches need to be toggled twice to get to anti ice, not dust protect
  6. to my knowledge this has not been done yet in lofc or dcs bs but i am as keen as you to work it out :) imagine the performance gains. the in game view options are pretty good for one pc but sharing the load as you describe would be great. there is discussion on this here already, somewhere. this looks similar to msfs where you have the game installed on each pc and set x and y view position for every monitor as fits your layout i bet you could make the a good cpu pc run the game with low graphics maybe looking at the map was an old trick i think, and send all the hi res views out to pc's on the lan all with cpu's and gpu's atleast powerful enough to run one monitor each we should make it a "community project" and pool the knowledge and testing it might be complicated and hard to imagine but when you see some of the stuff guys here create it might not be out of the question. like running a server with clients but being allowed to view the cockpit of other players (your other views) if it could be make possible it would have to be only for your local network, otherwise think of multiplayer :)
  7. to those that have known me as ggg87 i hereby announce, from this day forward i am to be rightfully known around here as G3  long time eagle pilot with lots of flight time yet i'm still not much chop, amateur Ka-50 pilot with only 176 pages of extend manual completed :) usually spending more time tinkering with screens and addons than flying. nothing more to see here, please return to the rest of your life :)
  8. epic video Funkster, feel tha love
  9. look i understand most people are joking, most of the time i am too, that is also the Aussie way. my wife is a champ, but does not share my love for sims, yet understands my passion and never questions my hobbies, nor do i question hers, a boy needs his toys :D as for buying her something, it's a safe approach if required. i am flat out getting my girl to buy herself stuff :D i have to tell her, if you want it just bloody well get it. now that's a rare find i bet, she's a keeper as for FC v2.0 and when it comes out in the end who cares how you get it, even if it costs you double or your dignity  now, back to the topic before we get too carried away more videos please
  10. always laugh at the wife comments, some of you guys must wear their skirts, at least if you are of similar dress size you've doubled your wardrobe :smilewink: look i know it's all jokes, i hope so anyway. try my approach, i know it's strange but give it a go, brutal honesty. tell her your new sim is out and you are getting it and proceed to do so.. thanks to all that linked to vids, how exciting.
  11. pretty much he didn't say anything :megalol: though word on the street is "two weeks"
  12. yes i too have reduced it a little my current settings are: in view.lua CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iKA_50] = {20.0, 150.0} monitorsetup viewdy = 0.2
  13. thanks norm, never tried them :book: :megalol:  but will have a look, thanks.
  14. 3. Jessi1 that's it cheers. 2. solution 2 found in solution 1 1. edited the monitorsetup file Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 3840; height = 1024; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0.4; aspect = 3.75; } so with standard zoom settings, zooming as far away from hud as possible centering the tir now makes the view looking thru the hud, as in straight ahead and no longer looking down. and as a bonus the hms has dropped and is much better positions also. settings will vary with resolutions and zoom settings still testing but it's ball park
  15. more to the point, not something you'd jump onto :D nice job with the chair, i have a similar setup
  16. Frazer, i think that sounds good enough for me. Kenan, always love your sense of humor, i think you meant slam forward ?
  17. i wonder why that is, Q. in your windows display settings is the usb screen coordinates starting just to the right of and in line with the top of the main screen? if the usb screen was down a little i could understand it but otherwise sounds a bit weird to me.
  18. options lua should be width = 2240 monitor setup (your custom one) abris aspect is determined by the height and width values you enter abris y = should be 0 if you want it to be top left of usb screen. use you full height of the usb screen abris height = 480 and adjust the abris width to get it to the desired aspect. better still rotate the usb screen 90' and use it as 480 x 800 (reducing the height value as required to achieve correct proportion/aspect) BaD CrC in options lua the "width" should = main screen width + second screen width = 2240 i believe the "aspect ratio" is only for the in game res setting eg: 1440 x 900 = aspect = 1.6
  19. very much so, after hearing the tir4 was better than a tir3, i figured a tir5 had to be the leap you mention, and it is. very pleased with it indeed.
  20. not sure about the ekran being an option, but i do like your thinking. touchpal has a functional ekran. hopefully one day the MonitorSetup will contain a whole list of different viewports and instrument view options. options lua has "," while the monitorsetup lua's have ";" after values my advice would be to create a copy of the included 3 monitor setup this will have just what you are after, only the values need changing. look for "Shkval+Camera+Abris", create a copy and call it whatever, edit only the values you need to, select it in the in game options. your options lua can stay as is also it's always good to have a backup of all these type files if you need to restore after tinkering :) see how that goes.
  21. dp sorry
  22. Iracing, looks very impressive and has a highly regarded bloodline, as i am sure any papyrus fan knows all too well. and Poko24 is right, it's said to attract a high calibre of racer, including pro's i have not driven it so i cannot comment or compare it with any substance. one thing for sure if DK is behind it i am sure it's quality stuff. not sure what the costs are these days, but i know rfactor is a one off outlay about as much as flaming cliff and you race forever with almost any car and track. Iracing may be hard to beat, and you can't blame a guy for protecting his work, but the turning point for me was when they started clamping down on modding nr2003, that's when we switched to rfactor, it's built for modding. if it were up to me we would still be modding nr2003 :) , but moving right along. rfactor is also starting to get laser scanned tracks, so far both of them are Aussie circuits, Eastern creek and Oran Park. which i will shamelessly mention are both in this years OVFS calendar. if anyone is interested in Aussie v8 racing. check out: http://ovfs.servegame.com back in the nr2003 days was the first ever triple screen setup i had ever seen, years before th2go etc. i created it by having 3 pc's all networked, playing the game on the centre screen, while the left and right screens were spectating and viewing my drivers cockpit but angled left and right, once it was all lined up properly it was a real amazing thing at the time, even allowed for bezels which at the time were about an inch and a half wide per screen :D and if i remember rightly the screens i had were all different size crt's, ya gotta love it. so i guess you could say i have been into the multi monitor scene for a while now. must try and dig up a picture or two to share, laughable these days i am sure.
  23. G3

    AirTito is 31!

it's a party in Pleven, H 31st BD, remember, everyday you see the sun is a good day :D
  24. not sure if anyone else is bothered by this but i find that with my setup using th2go and tir i am looking forward and down, not straight ahead. lets say i centre the tracker, as i look at the centre of the centre screen. the game view changes to the middle but looking slightly down, as if the pilot is too short and a bit sad. :) to get it right, i look down and centre the trackir, this then gives me a nice looking forward view when i am doing the same. unfortunately by doing it this way you loose some of that y axis-down tracking when you look around the pit and causes a loss of precision. also the soft centre of the trackir is not mid axis anymore if that makes sense. (i guess i could make it soft centre in the "up y axis" but thats seems silly.) eg: i look down a bit, cente the tir, then i look up a bit and i am looking forward in game. when i look down a bit there is the soft centre, because i am in theory always looking up a bit with the trackir to look forward in the game :) ------------------------- to sum it up, remembering this is with a tir and th2go: 1. i want to centre the trackir and be looking forward, directly at the hud i guess, exagerating a little i am currently looking down and and or sitting too low. 2. another side effect of this seems to be the HMS is too high, i would like to drop that down a bit too. 3. and while we are at it, let discuss how to move your initial view backwards as by default the tir sits you very close to the front of the pit, and even with tir zoom axis disabled, and max zoom backwards in game using / or *, i still want to be further back. thanks for reading, any advice much appreciated.
  25. welcome trackir fans, just wanted to share my initial experience with the trackir5 using the track clip pro. after happily using the tir3pro with vector and the track hat for years, i recently scored a tir5 with the pro clip and what difference that makes. when positioned correctly the pro clip never looses tracking, the range of head movement blows the hat away, off your head forever :) totally impressed with the track clip pro and tir5 combo, for exisitng tir owners, i suggest getting one or making something similar, and with the new software the light filtering (when you selcet the pro clip mode) is very good at eliminate all interference from other light sources. tir4 owners can upgrade to the current software but tir3 owners apparently need to wait for the next release that is going to support the tir3. setting it up: the default profile was very friendly with DCS BS, with a suttle but well made soft centre. a quick remap of the hot keys for centre, precision and pause. i also selected the track clip pro tracking option, which instantly got rid of a few flickering red dots when i was in hat clip mode. no longer any need to add the software game update as i had done with the tir3, jumped straight into DCS BS and started looking around. a big leap forward compared to natural point's earlier offerings. (cannot comment on tir4, as i skipped that generation.) the track clip pro seems a little flimsy, and i can see that thing getting damaged if not treated with the same love shown to fine china. all in all i would have to say it was worth every penny, my advice would be to get your old one on ebay and upgrade today.
