  1. I had the same thing in the Harrier and read a post here about stutter in the Viggen which was fixed by setting the "resolution of cockpit display" to one of the "every frame" settings, and it fixed my stutter too. Hope it helps !
  2. Yeah, yesterday we landed a Harrier on the Tarawa (15 knots wind + 20 knots ship speed) and the vortices were visible after stopping the plane ^^
  3. I've got the same problem with calm seas in Caucasus too...
  4. nicely done !
  5. I meant D. Va's tip about using the iphone
  6. Interesting tip, thank you; where did you learn about this ? I'd be happy to read more about this...
  7. Great post, changed my (simulated pilot) life ! Thanks !
  8. Game mode : how do you enable it ? When I press Win-G in DCS (GUI, or Game) it doesn't do anything (certainly not show a game bar)
  9. Just to be sure : SSS down does not mean down as a direction on a 8-way hat button, but down as in Mic Switch Down... Don't be mad, you probably already knew this... just wanted to make sure ;)
  10. Hi there, Quick question for Zeus : aren't the MPCD supposed to be color displays ? Mine are green only... Am I missing something ? And thanks for this great plane ! Cheers, David.
  11. same here ; as soon as I play the track at more that 2x time compression it desynchronizes
  12. It's because MP uses a lot of RAM ... your computer is swapping like hell and this slows down loading... ED is looking into the problem
  13. +1 ; can't see the nav lights of my leader after takeoff at night, even when he's at less than 1nm...
  14. This is a simple expression of the zoom setting.
  15. Works here... Although I do have TeamSpeak 3.0.10.1 because of an incompatibility between ACRE and 3.0.11.1
  16. You'd have been able to, but the project was cancelled because it conflicted with another project started by Julien Rozé (google it). Anyway, is it possible to get a copy of your maps, please ? I'm planning a more generic iOS application and I could use these maps to make it better before starting a beta... You can reach me via email, dpierron at gmail dot com
  17. I can understand this, but what else can I do ? Anyway, it's better that I learn about Julien's work now that later...
  18. Project is cancelled... Julien's app will be way better than mine, and he's more experienced than me too. Thanks for the info, BadCRC !
  19. The application fully supports iPad 2, and the New iPad. I'm interested by your map, could you upload it somewhere and pm me the link please ?
  20. Thanks ! Measuring tools is a good idea, although for this to work the maps must be calibrated. But it can be done. Importing aircraft pos in real-time is something we already have in mind, but it will be difficult : we need to build a Windows server program to interact with the DCS:World process, and also georeference the raster maps... This is all for the future; the goal now is to implement PDF support, and I'd like to add a basic annotation capability (points with icons, notes). Then send this first version to Apple and hope for the best !
  21. Lol, good one ;) This app is made for both iPhone and iPad (iPhone 4 recommended, because of the better screen resolution, but it would work on an older one). It only supports iOS 6.0 and higher. If anyone wants in, just ask !
  22. Free app, open beta in progress ! Synopsis taken from the website : This application is made for displaying huge-resolution images. The first use of this feature is maps. Maps are often very high-resolution, and iOS devices are not well adapted to displaying these files. Kneepad puts no limit on picture resolution, which is really useful if you want to browse a 15,000 x 10,000 pixels Tactical Pilotage Chart (some are freely available at the Texas University Online Library), like I do when I fly in DCS:World with my VEAF friends ! The maps displayed by Kneepad are tiled image files (high-resolution files cut into small tiles in several scales). They are easy to create with ImageMagick (check in the FAQ), and you will find on this site a few maps of Georgia - the one in Europe ;) Kneepad can also display standard documents (pdf files support pending) such as briefing maps, starting parking plans, VFR approach routes and whatever standard-resolution image you want to use (even a picture of your girlfriend if you want). Current features : huge-resolution image files supported (without limits) standard-resolution image files supported (up to 10 Giga-pixels) documents management (import, delete, open mail attachments in app) Planned features : PDF support (free) data entry annotations (probably In-App-Purchase) data entry exchange : export, send by email, over-the-net synchronization with other users (In-App-Purchase) syncing of position with the game engine (DCS plugin, In-App-Purchase) If you want to join the testing team, please follow the instructions on the site...
  23. Kneepad Hi igormk ! Thanks for this cool map, I love it ! I made an iOS application that displays high-resolution maps (obviously for using them while flying in DCS), and I took the liberty of packaging your map. It's available for free here ; tell me if you want me to change the description text, or even to stop sharing your map altogether... Regards, David.
