Not having this issue with the Sound Blaster Fatal1y in 5. surround. You say adjust it 1% and it fixes it. Like it goes higher than what is being displayed then? as in the correct sound positioned by the slider.

Don't forget zhu. That was before the graphics updates. It may run on very low settings now. with a good mobile graphics card hard to tell until it is done. Keeping tabs on this one to see if it is possible.

That is an interesting observation. What Motherboard are you using? Although it is possible that code is a factor one would rule out, I am thinking a Motherboard controller issue is another possibility in this case. My system isn't far from yours. I use an Asus I can't remember the name of it right now. Point being I haven't had any issues with FPS/Stuttering in almost any ver. of the Sim. Once I needed to patch it but it cleared it up.

This happens with GPU drivers also. Try going back a ver. Ensure all Microsoft Redistributed Files are up to date. They range in age from 2005 to Current Ver. you will need all of them.

You are on the right path. The Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributed Package has more than just the 2013 your link shows. They range from 2005/ 2008 /10, 12, 13, 15. Sorry you had to re-install the Sim.

Yes. The writer mentioned creating an update for it to work on the new ver. In another post. ( I believe it was Him) couple of guys with additions to the graphics of DCS.

Delete the saved game folder. Install the rdstr files in your DCS. folder. The Microsoft Redistributed files they are available on their website also. They get Truncated after a crash.

I believe you are having "Memory" issue. Setting the graphics to a lower setting allows you longer play time. Add another 8 Gig ram chip. Just like the one you have in now. or buy a 16 or 12 Gig kit. That 740 M isn't the best but it is all you can do now. It will require a lower graphic setting.

Video Ram is running out. Can you install a friends to rule this out? It is under the requirements for this software.

The software isn't programmed to use more cores. very few are. It has to be done at the program level. Read up on it. In order to get this program to use more cores it would have to be completely re-written. The setting you are attempting to use doesn't do it.

This also happens with the Microsoft Files found here. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003 They are also on your hard drive in the DCS Folder. Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/ DCS World/distr A few updates ago the installer of the update did not have the dist files added to the install instructions. It is also possible it gets truncated during a crash of a PC.

How much Ram is on that 650?

Wasn't this related to a Motherboard update not to long ago. For the life of me I can't recall the specifics of this issue but I do remember something similar to this a few months ago. Anyone else recall this?

I don't think this is a "Real" issue. I am not being smart a$$ here. It isn't something that users will do, for any practical purpose. It is comparable to a user saying "When I plug my refrigerator into my cooling system" or similar. If it isn't practical or something others would do it isn't really an issue for DCS to handle. You are just curious to know why this happens?

How much Ram is on the 970 you have?

I deserve it because if I don't get it from this great contest I will never be able to get it. I have a heart condition that will shorten my life and can no longer work. I have helped lots of members of this great flight sim keep their system up and running along with making the sim work on their PCs'. I will teach my son to use this so that when I am gone he will have something to remember me by.
