  1. Isn't that the Distributed error. It happens sometimes when you have a system crash and the files for Distributed from Microsoft get truncated. Here is a link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003
  2. I suspect that ATI 1 gig is running out of memory before it even loads along with not being DX updated to the latest ver. Your Ram is at the lowest as far as system requirements are concerned also.
  3. Typically the screen going black is a matter of the video not recovering from a draw request. Normally a driver update would fix this. I wasn't aware this is "Normal" as stated above. If so I suppose following his advice is key.
  4. Most likely there is an error in the downloaded files. You may need to re-download to get the issue resolved.
  5. Don't forget the Rearview mirrors.
  6. Ohhhh Noooooo..........You didn't say "Dos Prompt" did you. Wow that brings back memories for sure. Loading the 13 or so floppy disks to get your Pc back up and running. Or adding lines to the ini. or creating a batch file to get the pc to even load the Sim. Youngsters have no clue how far we have come. If they did they would have no complaints.
  7. This should be "Mandatory" reading for anyone wanting to post a Bug or Request for assistants in getting the Sim. running on their PC.
  8. Running the Sim. on that System is pretty good. You have to set to low graphics? Do you get stuttering?
  9. Cleaned up Bizar /Liveries means that you deleted them and did a repair? Cleaned up directories...other. Means you deleted them also and did repair?
  10. That's good info. as a lot of people were discussing the distance for use in the Sim. to be as close to reality as possible. Now we have an actual pilot giving true distances to contact for immersion .
  11. God........... I hope not. That "Fix" is from the Windows 98 Days and no longer applies in the Operating System of late. Other programs including Windows itself looks for the Page file to load and run software. When it's not there it doesn't run well if at all. I don't know one Win98 fix that applies to todays software. No matter how much Ram you throw at the operating system.
  12. That SATA Controller issue sounds interesting, It adds to my initial post in that the CPU manufactures are not supporting our DX9 Sandboxed Software. The Controller Idea is in line with that Hypothesis If the commands executed on the CPU level were added to the chip it could relieve the lag in executing said commands. Changing to another controller on the MB would go far in proving the likelihood of this guess. I am interested to know how that works for you. I have an older system and have no lag. How this is achieved we have no idea. But it is very interesting that a lot of users have older chips with no issues of lag.
  13. The numbers of read and writes to the SSD will take so long you will most likely have updated your PC by then. That info. was given out in the early stages of the SSD tech. it is much better now.
  14. Sounds like the GPU driver error. Not recovering from a redraw. You say you have many drivers? I would try the latest. I assume this only happens in DCS?
  15. Not true. It changes with driver updates. Clarity is a matter of vision, distance from the monitor and adjusting the monitors resolution to fit what the user feels is his best fit for him.
  16. Also your Computer Specs. This issue was raised in GPU Driver updates.
  17. You say "My monitor is 1680x1050, 22". That is difficult on the eyes on a 22" monitor. It is excellent on a 50". Adjust accordingly. To Calibrate the contrast on your monitor go to the manufactures website and use their Calibration Tool. They all have them. For a better BVR/Dog Fight Tutorial I use Pete Bonanni "Art of the Kill". Its on YouTube.
  18. Humans..............We are never satisfied. I must go with the advances in technology must be followed or we dare go backwards.
  19. al531246 Is that Win8?
  20. I wouldn't listen to that friend any longer. He may have PC experience keeping up with Technology is almost a futile effort for the working man. Sounds like he isn't keeping up and using skills from the late 90's isn't good enough anymore. My brother in law went to college and received a degree in I.T. Technology He still calls me to add a drive to his PC. He can plug it in, it's getting Windows to recognize the drive that isn't simple at times.
  21. Every single one of the posts after mine has been tried guys. Please read both threads it will save time. In our effort to assist users.
  22. I've read both threads. Thoroughly, sorry for the users who ask questions that you have already answered in those threads. Makes things a bit repetitive. I don't think it is a "Hardware" issue. "Per Say". It is a CPU manufacturing issue. Intel doesn't support DX9 and "Sandboxing' the software isn't the best method of increasing speed or usage. This DX upgrade we have is a temp. method and is I believe at the heart of your issue. The priority given to DX9 Commands isn't optimized on the CPU level. This also includes GPU DX level commands. I have read all you have tried as stated. Try installing a lower level GPU and see how it handles those commands. Those as you know aren't adjustable only the adjunct tech.
  23. There was an E. Coast DDS. for a few days over the weekend? Possibly effected us.
  24. Also check for dust inside your case. That system in a bit long in the tooth, is it in a room with carpeting? Remember to take it outside when using compressed air to blow it out. Otherwise the dust will return to the PC after a few months. It makes it harder to keep clean after that also.
