Make sure the Sim. is using the 6620 and not the APU to start. the issue is the graphics. (disappearing box at start up) make sure U install DX9 when prompted and the Redist. package that is located in C:\ program files eagle dynamics DCS World Distr. folder.

Right Throttle in the game is not working- HELP
AtaliaA1 replied to sobe's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
^^ Do that first. It's odd that it works when beginning in flight, as if it loads a different file when this is done. Might be answerable from a tester? -

Try logging into a multi player server then check again.

That and DSR. from Nvidia........along with EDGE......Very good time to be a DCS Flight Sim. Junky. Can't wait to see the results of all of them together.
-
Texture Packs are no longer needed with DSR from Nvidia. Running the Sim. at 2560X1440 with Cold or Warm color setting is "Outstanding"!!! Take a look at Nvidias website for the info. on DSR. Most have sung its praises here.

Su-27 - Comparing flight model with real life numbers
AtaliaA1 replied to Fox One's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
I believe those factors are attributed to the "Manufacturers" Biased production runs. They want those numbers to look as good as possible so during the manufacturing process and engineering (No weapons or pods) they put together their "Pamphlet" on what their product could do. Add a variable subtract a variable and your graph or pie chart will give the information you want. just don't mention the "Variables" in the ad.. -
They never re-drew themselves? Thinking it was maybe a temp. thing?

Intermittent Black Screen and Recovery
AtaliaA1 replied to eyusuf's topic in Video Corruption and Related Card Issues
Have U tried setting the Resolution of the Sim and ur Monitor to the same setting? Current Mode: 3072 x 768 (32 bit) (120Hz) Native Mode: 1024 x 768(p) (60.004Hz) U did allow DX9 to install when prompted to do so during install? It isn't the same as DX11. and both must be installed . Driver Date/Size: 7/2/2014 16:48:32 Update the Drivers for the Video card also. even beta if available. DSR is very clear with the 760 I use. -
If U want the F15C U will need to purchase the Flaming Cliffs 3 Module. I am assuming U meant to get back to where U were when Ubisoft was king. There are sales all the time if U don't mind the wait.

Works for me.

There was no download specified. What do U mean?

DxDiag Previously: Crashed in DirectShow This is in most cases due to DX9 not being installed or installed properly. U can find DX9 on ur HDD under C:\ Program Files Eagle Dynamics DCS World DISTR. It might be a good idea to reinstall both files found there vcredist is also causative. (potentially) Always a process of elimination thing with PC s.

It would seem "Easy" to do. DX9s API required X in DX11/12 the program language must say XyX to be compatible with modern gaming Technology. One day just plugging in the Data from DX9 into a program capable of generating/converting the same Data into DX12. would be the best way to go, eliminating human error.

Isn't that what CA. is all about?

In that vain of questioning, one would wonder whether it is worth the effort. Increasing FPS on a dated engine was the main reason for having EDGE render the images to our screens, off loading the work to the GPU which preforms this task better. Logical pursuit in lieu of totally reworking the programming to a modern level. i.e. adding multi-core support along with multi-GPU support. This newer programming will have to be done sooner than later. Imagine this "Outstanding" DCS Product with all of the bells and whistles of modern programming languages. Taking advantage of Intel's Instruction set, ability to put heavy work on multiple CPUs. DX11 implemented from the floor up, increasing the Pixilation of what we have now so that the images in use are rendered as high as a Pixar 3D Movie. (from what I have read the level of pixilation is very high now but not used due to FPs problems). If this could be created I would not hesitate to Pay $100. US for it. I just hope the cost isn't prohibitive to the market share DCS has now. If so we will never see it out of this studio anyway. That would be absolutely tragic. Well to me anyway. I feel like part of a team that would be loosing out. Hopefully with the 3rd party developers and Steam sales DCS. Eagle Dynamics/Balsimtek will pull this major metamorphosis of this title off. Think about it. There is no other direction for this title to go. So keeping my fingers crossed that soon we will hear of this great turn of events.

I can see this being part of a future update. I would want it for sure, insurgent attack on an airfield or catch them setting an IED. in some drawn out user created mission for sure.
-
At first glance I would think it is a matter of file size that hinders these options. A tester might know better?

For others that stumble across this thread. The external HDD are invaluable for instances such as this, I use an external 4Gig. drive to back up all of the files I want to keep. So in this case I do still have the original down load of DCS. 1.2.8 on this drive. It also has about 250 full CDs of music along with 197 Movies. Documents and Pictures of family vacations and such. A must have for any PC enthusiast.

Spurious password change request emails
AtaliaA1 replied to Sammi79's topic in Forum and Site Issues
No need to change the password, it is a "Password Sniffer" like back in the old AOL times. Requesting a change hoping U use their web page or email to do so. If u do not it gets nothing from U. Hence no need to change due to a "Sniffer". -
Virus or computer not fast enough?? - slow frame rate
AtaliaA1 replied to timone1002's topic in Game Performance
I've been running DCS on an i7 920 running at 2.6 for a long time now. I do have 12 Gigs of ram now, but used 8 previous to this. and ran the 6970 amd graphics card. I would bump up the ram and if the GPU doesn't have at least 2Gigs of Ram (Nvidia) I would invest in one that did. That is all u need. I ran all of those iterations on High Graphics never had to lower it to increase frame rates. -
DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 (FC3) is the next evolution of the Flaming Cliffs series. FC3 features the F-15C, A-10A, Su-27, Su-33, MiG-29A, MiG-29S, Su-25T, and Su-25. This is what should be there.

I have had issues when I don't select save at the end of a flight. If I watch the flight then try to save it has problems, all of the tracks I save manually work fine.
