Try re-installing the rdst. files in the Eagle Dynamics folder. This was a fix for this issue a few ver. ago with this error. There are two files in that folder DX9 a must have for this software, even if you have DX11 on your system. Also the redistributed files are in that folder and have been know to cause this issue. What ver. of DCS are you talking about?

You did see that he is using an Nvidia GTX 780 right? I doubt those settings will give that GPU any problems at all. I have all on High, TSSAA high and bushes all the way up on its slider. That with a Nvidia 760 and the i7 920 no overclock. Superb frame rates.

Although these methods mentioned are all good ways of accomplishing the goal, I hate it when after entering the info. you get there and another flight has already destroyed the targets. really annoying to me. :cry:

I have set it up that way before. I had to use the center camera key a lot to avoid the shaking you mention. It is an issue with the two different methods of controlling the zoom view (Keypad and then the slider) they are vying for control, causing the user to need to center view after using the throttles command.

For months now (6 I believe) DCS has been stellar in its patch release dates now. With all of the "Major" bugs being extinguished the Developers are able to work on the minor issues. Hence the fixes for object errors and the like. If one still has concerns it is easy to just down load 2 ver. of the Simulator. I use the 1.2.7 release for every day flying, it has the fewest bugs that allow me to operate the A10c. I also use the Beta ver. for checking the updated software with my PC. An important part of a beta is sometimes there can be PC specific issues, these of course not applying across the board so that PC 1 gets superb frame rates and PC 2 doesn't. Once all is settled I will be able to delete the extra ver. and while waiting this great metamorphosis my flying skills are being honed. Just a point of matter, for those with the space to download 2 ver. and avoid any issues with updates. This not really being an issue for months now. As in play stopping issues anyway.

The most in-depth Study of your question was done by another users. I have never seen one so detailed as His. Take a look here. His study was done with an AMD GPU but the settings study is so detailed that any GPU would benefit from it. Make sure you down clock the GPU some of those 780's are over clocked from the factory and DCS has issues with them.

Unless the other users have that same monitor set up I don't think these settings will apply. I see neither of you guys have your PC specs. in your signatures so it would be difficult to say what these settings would do for all users. I don't run with my graphics as high as yours but I have higher settings, Tree shadows Civ. Traffic all high, MFDs are also on highest, with good FPs. on an older i7 920 no overclock. In the end I guess it is a matter of "User Defined" as settings are PC specific.

Click them were they are. the exe files are there just for that reason.

That is strange to say the least. This isn't a part of DCS. as I haven't heared of anyone having this issue before. What joystick are u using and is this being used along with any joystick software? USB Keyboard? Wireless? are they plugged into a USB Hub or the PC back plate?

That error was related to a lack of DX9 and the Redistr. files loading before DCS loaded. They are available in the DCS Files in - Eagle Dynamics DCS World Distr folder reinstall both apps. and u should be ok. I don't know if it is related to a crash or not but seems so. Also users who exit out of the DX9 setup believing they have DX11 and do not need the older ver. but that isn't true, this software requires DX9 to run. Not that U did just stating for others who read this thread.

What ver. are U running? The path should be - "L:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" Your path is - C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\Launcher.exe Update your DCS World ver. first. Then try any other suggestions.

Nice Job. Most don't copy files over. It does save a lot of download time. I do the same for relevant files. A caveat must be stated here though and that is doing a repair after is always a good idea and has work well for me.

Will this be toggle-able or just a hard coded implementation? I think users should be able to choose what they want to do in this matter. Not be forced to use it.

I've seen another user post that they are getting better FPs in the sim with SLi. We may have to revisit the theory that the software gets no boost form having two GPUs. Along with if it is true, then why is it now a factor when it was not before.

I don't understand why U can't land even with this "Bug". I do, sometimes right behind the pilot that pulls out of the landing. It doesn't stop anything on my end. Lots of people are still playing Mult-Player what is your issue with it? Others work around it why don't U? I don't get it.

Those bugs didn't exist when the update was being worked on/out. It isn't like they stopped working after the release of an update. It is a first in last out kind of thing or last out first in. (Accounting Practice) Don't get frustrated guys they will fix them. I use the 1.2.7 ver. along with having the Beta ver. so that I avoid issues. That is the purpose of the "Beta".

He must as he said " hold the weapons release button as the counter drops through the center ball". It must be a Nose/Tail setting. What message do U get on the hud?

That is unfortunately the case now with all of the brake ins to major companies now. Kmart among others here in the States.

Have U already tried deleting the saved games folder? "C:\Users\Owner\Saved Games" Although I believe this is related to your video card. Put your system specs in the next post. Make sure the GPU drivers are updated to the latest, even beta if U wish. Turn down any overclocking that the system may have, even factory overclocked GPU. to a normal setting. Msi cards require the After Burner software to be set to a lower performance level and or controlling the fan speeds (increasing them) and setting the power mangmnt. to a stable setting, this differs depending on the system of course. so you will have to adjust until u reach your systems stable settings.

I have had changes that I did not do myself lately. I noticed differences and went to the configurations page to see things weren't set as I had set them. No update No changes by my hand. strange anomaly I guess.

Disabling the Aero Interface is still needed isn't it? In the OPs image it is not disabled.

run repair in Eagle Dynamics from the start icon.

That and AOA is a more appropriate method of "Putting the Thing on the Thing".
