Why all my replay missions are gone crazy?
AtaliaA1 replied to jomar machado's topic in General Questions
Because the changes in the updates create an environment that the prior software programming doesn't understand? Seems like separating the two applications is the way to decrease the errors but then taking control of the flight wouldn't be possible I assume? If it is part of the software now it shouldn't be to difficult to work out the bugs that cause this error. Find it and eradicate it. (sounds easy) -
I had that error after a crash one time. I played around with the settings to no avail finally having to reinstall to get it working right again. Happened with a few of my games as I think of it. Far Cry2. Mafia. and Crysis.

Running a Resolution of 2560X1080 with only 13268 mb for the page file could cause this. Set it to Windows Controlled then user and multiply the Ram by 2.5 and set it there. As a Process of elimination thing? I use the 760 with the latest drivers, don't know much about the one u use. Have u rolled back drivers for it?

So U have deleted the saved games file? 'Saved Games': "C:\Users\Andy\Saved Games" Give ur PC specs. in ur next post also. along with the DX log file if u can. The MSVCR110.DLL refers to a program that install with DCS. make sure U have these up to date. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667
-
Don't forget the External Back up suggested in the other thread. It can be a life saver.
-
U need to create this folder.
-
The suggestion in the thread U are referring to said install path should have been C:\Games upon being asked were U wanted to install DCS. that option isn't available to U now that U have installed it to its default location of e.g.. C:\ Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin or what ever U chose at the time.
-
At one point logging into the Multi-Play Server would tell DCS. that U owned more modules and it would then make them available for install based on the users account info. it stored. Logging on with the account used to purchase the modules is key.

The R9 280X has had issues for users in this sim. Do a search some are waiting and hoping EDGE brings their card around to better FPS. I would go with the 7xx series.
-
yes adding/installing the Sim. to Games will allow the software to see the files u mentioned. I would in your situation download and install the newest ver. prior to setting up my configs. LUAs. once done save to what ever media u prefer and never look back. As far as where to save the configs. after U create them that should be done on an external HDD. or in the "Cloud". External have saved me many times over the yrs. lost about 230 Full CDs that I had on my HDD. once, when it died it took those down with it. Purchased an External and have never had to deal with such again. If memory serves I believe there was a problem with TrackiR and 1.2.7 or 8. That was resolved in a later update.

Strong. Way to go. Those are absolutely needed for any user of DCS.

So saving+opening it with the new ver. of the Editor included in the update doesn't work anymore to prevent this anymore, I take it? -
That isn't a "Software" issue it is hardware related to windows. First place to look is the hard drive as Ram Errors would give U a General Protection Fault. I have seen that plenty of times in my 22yrs of PC repair and updating. Hard Drive Every time for me. It is possible to get that on a Mother Board Controller issue also as they appear equal to the OS. in its limited ability to asses the faulting device. After a few more of those the PC will run a Disk Check, allow it to continue as U will be able to stop or prevent the Check. It will clean up "Truncated" files lost due to the HDD Crash. (windows was unable to put things in order). The DX info. at the end of the screen is the OS reporting what it was doing last and not indicative of what caused the crash. Take note of the different files being reported there next time it crashes. U will see.
-
It was a problem patches and patches ago. (To many making it unrealistic) Fixed now though.
-
Last time this happened it was related to C++ not installing with the update. Just sounds similar to me. It is also possible that the Video Drivers are not up to date for the new release. Check both.

Intermittent Black Screen and Recovery

The abnormality happens when the OP lands. Read the post again. -
Remap the key, using a setting of your choice? Didn't see that in ur list of things tried.

That power supply is more than adequate for your PC even overclocked. Here is an example. Power Consumption GeForce GTX 780 Ti System in IDLE = 120W System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 372W Difference (GPU load) = 252W Add average IDLE wattage ~10W Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 262 Watts Even in SLi it is fine. Power Consumption GeForce GTX 780 Ti 2-way SLI System in IDLE = 129W System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 617W Difference (GPU load) = 488W Add average IDLE wattage ~20W Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 508 Watts So their incorrect unless the Power Supply is going bad. In a process of elimination ideology it would be one of the things I too would look into. But we have a mitigating fact, that being the history of users with that card. The resolution for them was to remove the overclock, I guess they just don't have time to look into their Forum.

The Music does put you in that excited anticipatory mood of your first run of DCS. I remember thinking this is going to be an awesome piece of software. Like opening a gift/present from a friend who knows what you like. Awesome job guys, Kudos to all involved with this great title.

Instruct the AI units to attack Armor or something else as u set up ur attack. If U want to take out the main target urself. It is much more fun that way I agree.
-
I think U will have to do both as u attempt to get stable game play.
-
I see you turned down the CPU overclock, did U do the same for the GPU? That has worked for some users of the Ti cards in other threads.
-
PC specs. sounds like a GPU Driver issue though.
-
your stand alone and steam ver. are the same?

Maverick-X. how long did it take for all of those to become natural is the key. I got a head ache just thinking about the difficulty of remembering all of the switches u have mapped. If I did it a few at a time I could get used to it. To take this and apply all of them would cause huge switch errors in 30 Flights or so until I got used to all of them.
