  1. Installed 3.07 turned off firewall and Defender. Problem persists. Window size of Surface Pro 3 is 2160x1440. Reset it to 1920x1080. No change. New log attached.
  2. Turned off firewall and Defender. Verified .NetFramework. Another download and reinstall. Still no joy. Log complains about missing VRKneeboard.lib.OpenVROverlay. Log attached. Appreciate your help.
  3. Do I need SteamVR on client tablet??
  4. I can not get VRK to run on my Surface Pro 3 client. Installed fine on server PC with SteamVR for use with HP Reverb. Program installs on client Surface, but will not run. I get the little rotating circle for a few seconds, then nada. OS is Win 10 ver 1709 up to date. Uninstalled/reinstalled with no joy. Suggestions?
  5. I use this mod constantly and have no problems with it. Perhaps try reinstall.
  6. Report in Bugs subforum.
  7. Found the app AND turned on Win 10 Voice Recognition. Works pretty well now.
  8. Spent a bit of time on this and did extensive voice recognition training. Scratchpad use seems to require some speaker training, as well as voice recognition training. Now I am finding that voice recognition consistently interprets "north" as a command and Scratchpad prints * each time "north" is pronounced. South == $, East == ^, West == @. I can find no documentation of this behavior and need to devise a work-around. "N" is interpreted as "and."
  9. I want to use scratchpad in VR to aurally record coordinates, from JTAC for example, but Scratchpad produces lots of misunderstood text. "North" usually prints as "Nor". Sometimes it produces numerals, sometimes spelled numbers. Mistakes numbers for other words, etc. I will try voice training again.

DCS by default retains 2 main logs in its folder. The most recent mission log is dcs. The second most recent is dcs.log.old.
  11. I have Scratchpad working with my Reverb headset and Voice Attack; however, Scratchpad speech to text accuracy is poor. I am native English speaker and have no accuracy issues with VA. I have gone through the Win 10 voice recognition training (but prior to 1903 update). Do I need more advanced voice training, some other? Anyone else have this problem?
  12. Another idea. Home repair stores carry stick-on, nearly transparent, soft plastic cabinet door bumpers in a pack with various sizes and shapes. Hollow out the center of these and stick them on.
  13. I found that after every update my reverb headset is undetected until I disconnect/reconnect displayport plug.
  14. This may not fully address your issue, BUT I have had issues setting user flags to boolean values. True usually == 1, but not always, it seems. Much more reliable to set flags to numeric values.
  15. I noticed that when additional callsigns are added to the db_callnames.lua file, the speech generator substitutes a number for the .wav file that corresponds to the callsign position in the callsign dropdown list in the ME group applet (which duplicates the list sequence tn the db_callnames.lua file). Example: If you choose Dodge 2 as the callsign and Dodge is listed fourth in the dropdown list, ATC will address you as 4-2-1. Played around with numerous variations of the .lua file and CallSign folders, with NO success. Probably a lost cause unless DCS fixes it. Too bad. I suspect the speech system was altered to accommodate the new CVN LSO speech under development.
  16. TOO should prove much more useful when the markpoint system is implemented, so that waypoints can be generated on the fly with onboard sensors,
  17. New Information. Realized new DCS install was using old Saved Games folder. Renamed it so DCS would initiate new Saved Games folder, and voila, ME now functions properly. So... new line of inquiry: what in old Saved Games is causing anomolous behavior? Deleting Saved Games/MissionEditor folder returned ME to normal function.
  18. Completely reinstalled DCSW OB 2.5.5.34864. Installed PG map and F/A-18C modules then tried to edit an existing mission. Same as above: all the units are in the unit list table, but do not display on the map. Map is empty of objects. Tried saving the mission, then re-opening. No difference. Unable to place a new unit on new mission map. No mods installed. Log attached. This all began for no apparent reason, as DCS ran fine last night.
  19. Log attached. Already started DCSW uninstall/reinstall process. I was indeed logged in and did try module uninstall/reinstall slider in Module Manager.
  20. DCSW OB 2.5.5.35864 for no APPARENT reason fails to recognize any installed aircraft modules. I am an experienced user. First noticed a problem when I opened several missions in ME and found nothing but blank maps. Tried DCS Repair: nada. Tried reinstall from backup folder: nada. Module Manager shows all modules installed, but now trying to open mission in ME or to fly triggers error that aircraft module not installed. Aircraft module folders do exist in the proper directory locations. Also the normal row of module icons along the bottom of the main UI shows only 4 terrain icons. Out of ideas, other than complete reinstall of DCSW.
  21. Gamma fixed it. Thanks.
  22. I have HP Reverb and tried a night mission in VR that has F/A-18C cold and dark on carrier deck. After startup I invoked NVG to navigate to the cat and found that the cat launch slot was totally invisible in NVG with no contrast with the surrounding deck, despite various gain settings. That made it impossible to align to the shuttle so I could launch. Could not get landing/taxi light to illuminate the deck either.
  23. Thanks. Forgot about re-center.
  24. Earlier today I entered a mission in VR and my cockpit was skewed WAY left. I was perched on the right cowling. The normal keypad functions to move FOV were totally unresponsive, i.e. Shift-Control numpad keys were non-functional. Restarted DCS: no change. Nothing I tried changed the FOV, with one exception. Holding down the numpad 0 changed the FOV towards the center. Same applied to non-VR cockpit. Finally resolved issue by the DCS Repair app. So, anybody know how to fix this issue if it recurs, without resort to repair procedure?
