What version of the game are you running? There was an earlier version of the game that had some speech issues. I would make sure you have the latest version. As for the looking around the cockpit, those keys are mapped to the num pad keys. You will need to rebind them to something else to be able to look around.... I would seriously look into getting a joystick to fly this simulator though. As far as the space bar key, the mission designers put a small delay into the triggers to keep the speech from talking over the next step. You need to wait until the speech stops before pressing the space bar.

I think its a fantastic idea, but its too early in the development cycle to implement these features just yet. In time, it might be.

You set sim/game mode in the options menu. in any other view besides "F1" for the cockpit, you will not have any aiming reticules ect. Those are just external views.

Uninstall a Module from DCS World
BigfootMSR replied to falconten's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Try going to your start menu and select "Repair DCS World" from the Eagle Dynamics folder. If that's not working, you could try taking a look through your uninstall programs in your control panel. Else, uninstall the whole thing and start over. What makes you think your installation is corrupt? -
Well, break out your modelling kit.. I for one, would much rather they finish the EDGE engine and release the Nevada map than waste what little resources they have working on this map. Its not to say that I wouldn't like to see some upgrades, but really this map and engine are at its limits.

New on the game, what aircraft can i controll?
BigfootMSR replied to carlos2912's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Thanks Krebs, That was exactly what I was trying to convey. -
Your BS2 serial key will be fine. Just make sure you dont install the module marked upgrade or it will not work. 1. Download and install world http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en 2. Download and install http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=12&end_pos=136&lang=en (this is the english version) 3. The game should automatically detect your previous install and activate it in world. personally, I would install world, and the BS2 module before uninstalling the previous version, but thats just me. Be sure to delete your settings files in saved games folder however. That can cause some issues if you try an import them into world. They are vastly different.

Mustang created a mod to do just that, but I recall something about the latest version of World has broken it. Try doing a search for PeterP's smaller sun mod. It was combined with it.

New on the game, what aircraft can i controll?
BigfootMSR replied to carlos2912's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
As far as the types of aircrafts flyable when you join a server, that depends entirely on the map that was designed and running on that server. If you buy the FC3 only, you can not fly the a-10C, ka-50, p-51. Those are seperate modules you have to buy. Those 3 modules are at a MUCH higher depth and fidelity than the aircrafts in FC3. I believe, and I could be wrong, that the a10 in FC3 is the A-10A. Now that all that has been said, To clarify. It is possible to play FC3 with the other aircrafts. Thats the beauty of World. You just have to find a server that is playing a map with FC3 slots available. -
HAHA, Thats what I use on my switches MTFDarkEagle :)

Correct procedure when upgrading from BS1 to BS 2?
BigfootMSR replied to Konrad Friedrich's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Yes, the steam version will count for upgrading to BS2 but BS1 (steam version) must be installed and activated prior to applying the BS2 upgrade. The BS2 upgrade is only for DCS world. -
You can install BS1 to any directory you want other than World. Be sure BS1 is activated, then install the BS2 upgrade. The BS2 upgrade module will automatically detect your World installation and install itself in the right place.

Really, Master Caution right off the bat ???
BigfootMSR replied to Tacyon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Download World from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en Then download the module for World here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en Then as TheKhann stated, use your 1.1.1.1 serial number if it asks you for it once you start a mission. However, if you install world without removing 1.1.1.1 then it should auto detect your currect activation and avoid this altogether. You can safely remove 1.1.1.1 after you install world. It will not override the files or remove them. You could even leave both installed and switch between the two if you so desire. Those files are the most update versions you need. Plus, DCS world has auto updater feature to always keep you up to date :) -
 All of the add-on's? Are you referring to just the software? Because I don't think you can have "ALL" the add-on's this game offers. Replica warthog stick, working sim pits for each air craft ect :P I'm glad you are sinking your teeth deep into this game. Just wait till you see how far down the rabbit hole you will fall

Does that mean you are putting up panels for sale? If so, which ones?

Really, Master Caution right off the bat ???
BigfootMSR replied to Tacyon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
What version of the game are you running? That was a problem in 1.1.1.1 I believe, but it has been fixed a long time ago in DCS world. But yes, the standard procedure is to press the "STFU" button. Better to upgrade to world ;) -
The only thing BS2 uses from BS1 is the Serial num/cd key. So, something else must have fixed the problem. Perhaps you restarted the computer? Who knows, but I am glad you got it working.

You could try forcing the game to do an update through the start menu. I believe it will replace any missing files or files that have changed from the master.

CBU-97s ineffective against T-72Bs and up?
BigfootMSR replied to Agiel7's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Im pretty sure its a known issue. The other problem I have found is that the one bomb might be effective (not in all cases) but the vehicle takes a long time before you get the killed message. It was similar to when I bombed a stationary helicopter on a farp. It took 2 CBU 97s, 2 GBU 12s, and 3 gun runs before it died. It did not die until I was out of all ordinance and on the way home did I finally get the killed message. -
It is currently not possible to have multiple client air craft as a single flight aka wingmen. You can only assign NPC as wingmen to a specific flight. It is possible via the SADL and data links for multiple clients to become and act as a single flight.

Correct.

Help creating stateful button commands
BigfootMSR replied to -MadCat-'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Unfortunately, it does not appear to be possible with the way the cut off is handled by the game. Those levers appear to be handled much like the autopilot channels, you press them once to turn on and once again to turn off. They do not have a distinct off position per say that can be assigned as a different value unlike most of the toggle switches in the pit. The other switches you mentioned are switches and handled differently by the game and thus can be assigned a specific up, left, right, whatever. At the moment its not possible to modify the .lua code to create your own types of control movements. If this was the case, many A-10 pit builders would jump at the chance to have the canopy switch work correctly including myself. The only other thing I could suggest would be to try sending a message to Speed or Grimes here on the forums. They do a lot work with the .lua codes in the game and may know of a way to make your wish come true. Sorry I cant be of any more help. -
Help creating stateful button commands
BigfootMSR replied to -MadCat-'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Im not sure I follow what you are trying to do.... you only want to assign the button to the up position and so it wont ever do anything when pressed again except make sure its in the up position? If that is the case, I don't think its quite possible to do the way you want with every switch and lever in the game. Somebody with more expertise may know better however.
