I read another thread about it, but DCS: Sam Operator wuold be booooring for hours and then like "Oh yeah of little faith" - "Ohh shit" But with the right Sam... :( Bad time to be a pilot. My last one for today: DCS: X47B :D @Krebs20: I haven't used the beta's, but that might have been great. Weird to have this removed. Supersheep

Wow, this is already more feedback than I expected. The HARM intercept by those Tunguska's sounds interesting. About the RCS, I assumed that those mavericks are not optimized in any way and should therefore be a potential and worthwhile target. In the future, I'll remember to put something more agile next to SAMs when I build a mission (still have a long way to go for more than practice missions). I wonder how SAMs and their systems treat targets the computer assumes to come in kind of close. Will it be possible for air defences to "know" about each other in future DCS models (corresponding to real life, that is) so they can protect themselves but avoid wasting missiles if there is something cheaper around? Of course that would be a bummer for the average Hog pilot, so Supersheep

Hi! I was reading about SAMs (e. g. the S-300) being designed to defend against (longer range) cruise missiles. Could the nastier of them also engage my mavericks? Is this modeled in DCS? Edit: I was a bit quick to write this. Of couse I know that it would be hard to come into MAV range against one of those. Let's assume I use terrain masking for the sake of it. Regards, Supersheep

Now, I would like some failures to make the pre-startup checks useful. Of couse everyone does them now, :D but they are strange if you know that they will be perfect in the end every time and there is not even some switch in a wrong position every ~(1-10) flights (which I imagine to happen from time to time). Hi! Count me as interested, especially because more credible loadouts are scarce (I think). I admit that I have a very long way to go to be close to real, but I'd like to start good. But, please get the consent of your mates before sharing it. Regards, Supersheep

You mean the one posted in #32 in this thread? It is done by paulrkii and a great reference, but he discovered some inconsistencies (is described in the Thread). Still, I think it is a great guide. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=76856&page=2 Supersheep

+1 I very much like that it installed correctly. Thanks ED! Are the PAPI lights fixed, too? Haven't checked them yet. Supersheep

Now that I know what causes it, I think it's all right, too. I was just kind of surprized as I first noticed it. Supersheep

So, I see, this effect is plausible. Great to know. :pilotfly: Supersheep

Hi! Is the speedbrake sound (don't know if it was there before .10) really realistic? It is not a open/close sound, but gets louder the wider open they are. To me, it only sounds like a 55 gallon drum rolling down the street and not like a sound created by airflow. Opinions? Supersheep

Hi! While practicing the use of the JTRS with Viper's guide online earlier this week, I wondered if it was possible to somehow send the SPI to someone via his OWN and NET ID. So not hooking the recipient on the TAD, but entering the ID like it is done for the chat funktion. Is this, and if, how, possible? Thanks! Supersheep

@LeLv30: How did you create the labels on your panel? It's looking really clean! I'm afraid I'll have to put some money aside first, however... [Edit: Seems like my post is a bit late xD] http://www.lelv30.net/kuvat/-WH_cockpit078s.jpg Thanks! Supersheep

So, this will make my next multiplayer sesion stil more interesting. Thanks to all! Supersheep

No need to delete. You can even use this place to share your solution ;) Supersheep

Well that was some fast help from you guys. And I'm keeping that reference in mind. Serious thanks again, Supersheep

Hi! I use to hear call-outs like "Tally armor at [...]" and the like from my wingmen and other flights. What, exactly, does "tally" mean? Referring to bullseye? Target with the highest priority? Colour of that thing? Oversize?:smartass: Gettin' stupid, so please help me. Thanks! Supersheep

Please, tell me this one. You have the chance to create the motivation that's neccessary to take on the CDU ;-) Supersheep

Or use JDAMS on known targets, as GPS does not care about weather (as soon as it does, you don't care about your targets anymore...). Edit: Damn xD Supersheep

TIR messes up pressed buttons
Supersheep replied to Supersheep's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks, the next time I restructure my input commands I'' use your tip. Too bad this is neccessary. Supersheep -
I haven't had the balls to grease mine, but your guide just have changed that. But I think you need to re-grease the integration of your pictures. Now, as this slope seems slippery to me, I'll shut up now xD Thank you! Supersheep

Now, that's called de-conflicting:joystick: Also from NRW, Supersheep

Hello, I set up some commands like re-center and pause the TrackIR (5) to my Hotas Warthog Throttle. I used MIC UP and MIC PRESS for two of them. Works fine in theory. However, when I press the pickle button on the stick, this also triggers a TrackIR action, as the button has the same number (JOY2 I think) as the button assigned to TIR on the throttle. So each time I drop a bomb, I pause my TIR. D'oh. Is there a way to teach TrackIR to corretly distinguish between the two devices? Also, can TrackIR work with key combinations or multiple keys for one action? Many thanks, Supersheep
-
Or, although this was not your question, if you have a TrackIR, you can assign the TIR Z axis to the zoom axis in DCS. You will no longer be able to lean forward, but I am fine with this setup. If you cannot see the TIR device in the settings screen, it is in a column on the right outside of the screen. I used the Warthog slider for some time, but my hand is too small to conveniently use both the zoom slider and the HOTAS commands. Supersheep

Nah, I only now submitted my registration. Besides, I would like to raise a technical internal issue with flight-sim-fanatics.com. I think I'll best contact you via PM over there after I am approved. Same here :) Supersheep
