  1. Yeah,I'm of the same opinion, the sounds in the Mod folder,I don't think are working.....but the sounds in the 'Saved Games' sound folder are.
  2. Wow !!!.....it's superb Rick, bloomin' fantastic mate, and no,the stars are just red, you've nailed it,thank you very much Sir
  3. Wow !!!!......fantastic skins in the making there Chimango, looking forward to these,I too love the Cold War era skins, but without doubt, these two are beauties
  4. I personally fly with the two connected, but correct me if I'm wrong,I was lead to believe as long as the boost lever is behind the throttle,at all times,it's ok to be disconnected.
  5. Oh yes,his skins are terrific...definately the man for the job, that is,if he think's it worthy of his talents.
  6. I am after this specific Korean War Red nose MiG-15,No 1154. If there is a skinner out there in DCS land that could create this Mig with it's distinct numerical font,as per the picture,I'd be very, very grateful.....Thank you
  7. Yeah Skullz Sound mod for the UH-1H is superb,if we lose that,we are screwed
  8. Wow !.....Superb pics Chuck, these look very authentic of the WW2 period, fantastic
  9. Yeah,it's been porked for years
  10. Yes,I can confirm a B-17 group can fly in box formation and will carpet bomb if correctly set up in the editor.
  11. +1
  12. Yeah,it's not just the Spit....I was flying with the P-47D yesterday in the editor, and although I could communicate with the ATC Tower,I couldn't communicate with my flight. All comms were done as NOT 'EASY Communications',but the more complicated communications,ie having to set the correct radio frequency preset etc.
  13. Love all of your updated skins so far Bo.....any chance you could up date 'Mike's Bird' when you've got time ?
  14. Exactly this..... I have recently been reading up on the Mossie, now they definitely used delayed fuses,so when that's released,it won't be authentic unless it's ordnance has the delayed fuse option. The whole concept of the majority of their low level attacks were done at tree top level, drop a bomb at this height without a delayed fuse, and it's goodnight Vienna.
  15. Crass idea.....and if it was implemented,it would be the day I'd say goodbye.
  16. Yes,apologies on my part for not being clear on what I was replying about,re this thread.I just assumed we were all talking about the allied bob fusing issue,or lack of it,as we are replying to P-47D section. I appreciate the axis bombs can be delayed, albeit very simple,ie delayed/non delayed.
  17. Yes,I think we're all aware of that.....but if DCS is going to get serious about it's WW2 content,it needs to implement some options in bomb fusing. We're not asking to assemble the Hadron Collider here either, just some simple fusing 5 sec,10 sec,25 sec etc......gotta be straight forward surely, and it's historical,so it should be available IMHO.
  18. B******t......using a delayed fuse shows measured thinking and being wise,we're not at home to the Kamikaze here old chap. I agree LeCuvier, fuseable bombs were used extensively during WW2,so to have the option is not asking for anything that wasn't available
  19. I recently updated all of my third party Huey skins by getting rid of all the '.bmp' and '.dds' text, very straight forward and they now all work with the latest DCS World..... hallelujah. However after copy and pasting the same updated skins into my relevant DCS Open Beta livery folder, the skins are all corrupted and I mean everything is corrupted, body, tail, weapons etc. Now why would these same skins work within DCS World but not in DCS Open Beta, can anybody throw any light on this issue please ?.....I've checked and double checked and I'm stumped. Both versions of my DCS are up to date.
  20. Bump Yes indeed, this needs addressing asap please ED.
  21. Good point Art-J,yes,we're all flying with 'Sim' on not 'Game' on,as Art-J has pointed out,if 'Game'is set on there will be no effect with the trim.
  22. Yes,the saved games directory is the way to go from now on re sound mods,I see already guys are using this way to get around the new DCS stance on locking away the codes. For me DCS is great, but it's sounds woefully let it down, they are just so sterile and don't capture the module's true potential. The new modules are fantastic, but boy the sounds just don't do them justice

    Biggin Hill?

Can't believe they missed off Biggin Hill, this was kind of the Buckingham Palace of all the British WW2 airfields This, and the absence of Canterbury Cathedral also missing from the Channel Map are hopefully going to be added in a future update, because they need to be there......basically to make the map credible.
  24. You obviously must have a confliction with similar axis as it's definitely implemented old chap,I'd have a closer look to see if another bit of your hardware has this bound to it.
  25. Mmm......not sure what else I can help you with, presumably your keeping the aircraft trimmed out and operating the engine manifold at the respective 42 inches and RPM at 2550 ?......try only using 50% fuel,I may be wrong, but I think this helps with the balance too.I'm personally not having the issues you are witnessing. Re the elevator trim, this is implemented, and it works for me,I'm using the old Saitek Cessna trim wheel, which has it's own Axis,it works a treat. The P-47 was a very heavy old bird in comparison to the P-51,so the two FM's are quite different obviously.
