Hey ED, or anyone that knows... is there a way to set in a config file or something, the radio presets so they are already programmed at each start of a flight? Using TARS I have a few freqs set in an SOP, but having to reset them everytime I start is a bit of a pain.

Gus, thanks for the description. Hopefully I can get all those parts, but I may need to pick your brain a little later on. The price looks like it wasn't too bad (under $100 for the whole thing, not including the build time). I'm pretty sure I can convince the wife for that. hehe. How are you connecting it to DCS... by SIOC and OC cards or some other way..?

Not trying to steal the thread, but on a different weapon... with the Mk 82Air bombs, is it possible to maybe get the old style Snakeye fins? Those always looked awesome the way the fins popped out.

Dude that is awesome! About how much does all of that cost? I would love to make something like that or buy it... I'd even buy it from you as a set and do the soldering myself.

With a tutorial, those of us that paint would lose work, hehe... but I'll try and get one typed up anyway.

No Problem Boss. Glad to help. Btw, I'm working on a Show Bird for us. Chrome Gun and everything ;)

When you consider their "pilot training" rate, compared to losses, I'd say their numbers are pretty good.

Same here... except the wife's Bday is on Saturday... so hopefully it's released tonight so I have time to play it before the weekend... If not, I really hope it's released Sunday night GMT so I can download it first thing when I wake up on Monday. (First flight with Beta 5 will be a mass MP refueling mission!!)

2 pics for my KC-135.

I definitely like the internal sound, but is it possible to keep the external sound of Beta 4 somehow? I don't know why, but I like that one better than what's in the video for external... just sounds more distant. I could be wrong, but does anyone know where I can save the external sound as a backup?

As a side note, but haven't tried the active pause, double check to make sure you are setting it in the A-10C Sim and Game settings. Maybe there is a conflict. I had that happen with me redoing some keys.

Definitely! I've already started adding extra tankers into my MP missions. This is totally going to bring a new level to the flying. Awesome work ED, and can't wait to download!

For a multiplayer mission, you can also set the aircraft up as client, and takeoff from runway. You'll be sitting on the ramp with your systems on and engines running (well, minus Countermeasures and Arm modes.)

I think I'm missing something here, but when flying with a few other people, we use the UHF 258 channel to get targets, but there is also 255 and 251. I've tried (as host and client) to be on the other freqs, but never get anything from the AFAC... Maybe Beta 2 will be different, or maybe I will be. Otherwise, we really love flying this mission because of the randomness.

Good to hear that all is working minus TIR5. Hopefully you can get it up soon and release it. I'm seriously looking forward to it!! Great work so far Matt and ED!!!

My first Custom Skin
hog_driver111th replied to Snoopy's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Awesome skins Paulrkiii. I wasn't stationed at Warner, but I've been there a few times. I'm not trying to steal your thread, but since this is a "first skin" thingy, I thought I'd add mine. It's a fictional for a virtual squadron... and no, for you kiddies out there, the BJ isn't what you think. It stands for "BlackJacks", hence the spade on the tail. All of the main stuff is changed (ie: tail number/top/base code, fuselage patches, name under cockpit, added TankBusters to the Nacelles). -
my TIR5 works fine in the 64bit... not sure what they need to fix.

Or buy a piddle pack and your wife laughs at you. The one someone mentioned about the trackir clip is totally me. I've even answered the door a couple times with the clip on. People just look at me funny, so I look back at them annoyed saying "My jet is over enemy territory. Go away before I drop a JDAM on your ass"... then run back to my pit to keep flying. :joystick:

by Friday? I'm hoping when I wake up in the morning.
-
Cali, that's about what I paid for mine. I really do wish though that they had included 2 working screens even though the price would then be around $250. At least we wouldn't have a helluva time finding the right screens or using 8" monitors to match a 5" hole.

I wish more servers would be on without a password. I've tried to get one public without success. There are times that my squad isn't around to fly, and flying alone gets boring. Keeping a server open (if you are part of a squad) is a perfect recruitment tool also, so why certain squads would want theirs locked for selfish reasons is beyond me.

Damn dude, I think you have too much money. 2 Hogs, 2 combat pedals... How's about sharin' the wealth and sending me some switches! hehe. J/K. Awesome work, and if the wife would let me, I'd be building 2 pits as well. Keep going!

Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals
hog_driver111th replied to Gonzo01's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My wife asked if I could show her where the files are for the A-10 so she can paint up a "Hello Kitty" Warthog for me to fly around in, lol. -
I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but IFR charts for each airfield including ILS, VOR/NDB, and TCN approaches.

When I flew this today, we didn't hear anything on the radio (258 UHF). I was running the server, however, both my wingman and I could see the text automatically. I'm not sure if either of us were in Tusk 1-1, only because I renamed a few of them to coincide with the pilot's name for the skins I've painted (each pilot has their own jet in the squadron). Whether one of us were or not, I don't believe either of us (I know I didn't) called JTAC, it happened more like a trigger, which may be better since only the host can call, to have it setup for when the aircraft passes a certain point (setup for all aircraft incase they split apart)... which brings me to another question. Let's say 2 people are on a server. The first one departs and follows the waypoints. 10 minutes later, aircraft 2 departs (came on late). Is there a way to have it set up where JTAC gives a different target to aircraft 1 and 2 since they are not flying together, or should they tune in to one of the other jtacs to get a tasking? I hope I've explained my question properly.
