  1. Great, thanks, that worked. Indeed axis seems to be bugged as it is only sensitive to half the value spectrum.
  2. Hi, I have the radar MKR brightness axis assigned to my "friction" axis on the warthog. But I can't find a useful setting in "axis tune". No matter what I choose the radar reflection is essentially always totally bright or totally dark. Has anyone been able to set up the axis such that if my friction lever is in the middle the return brightness will be at default, when the lever is fully forward the returns are completely bright, and when the lever is completely backward the radar return is completely dark? Thanks!
  3. same here, even in the 1.5.6 release version. 1.5.6 seems to be a bit better fps wise than 1.5.5, but much worse regarding stuttering. Stuttering seems to occur if you look in a new direction or fly in a new direction. It's therefore possibly related to the way new terrain data is loaded. 1.5.5 did a much better job at that.
  4. What setting (value) is going to be the most realistic? Is it 100?
  5. Operation Sand Viper Las Vegas is under attack from all sides by Russian armored divisions. The primary locations of these attacks are near Moapa (north eastern AO), Creech AFB (north western AO, Creech AFB is held by the Russians) and Pahrump (western AO). This is a mission for the blue side with single player slots for A2A, ground attack, SEAD and helicopter missions. Enemy A2A activates only if player chooses A2A slot, enemy SAMs (other than MANPADS) activate only if player chooses Su-25T slot. Blue task: Eliminate Russian armored divisions at three AOs. CAS flights are supported by JTAC and AFAC. North eastern AO: JTAC Axeman, 31 MHz FM, AFAC Enfield 126 MHz AM North western AO: JTAC Darknight, 32 MHz FM, AFAC Springfield 127 MHz AM Western AO: JTAC Warrier, 33 MHz FM, AFAC Uzi 128 MHz AM Three FARPs are being erected (and are almost operational) near the AOs to add helicopter CAS capability to the battle field. Make a FARP operational by sling-loading in supplies (see briefing image for location) from Nellis. Once the cargo has been delivered, the Gazelle flight at the FARP will be unlocked. Also the FARP will be populated with friendly support units and SAMs. One friendly armored group per AO has run out of materiel and needs to be resupplied by helicopter sling load before it can rejoin the battle. Use F10 menu to get status update on sling load tasks. One enemy armored group per AO has run out of materiel and is being resupplied by truck convoy before it can rejoin the battle. Eliminate these truck convoys. Use F10 menu to get status update on the latest truck convoy sightings. Hueys (and Gazelles) are also tasked with CSAR [use F10 menu to see CSAR list]. Rescue a pilot by flying to its location and land within 100 m. For game-play reasons this completes the rescue, and a new AI fighter plane will spawn. A heavy transport is in a holding orbit about 100 clicks ESE of Las Vegas (WP 4 for friendly F-15s and Mirages). If you are confident that you can provide escort cover for this plane, use F10 menu to send it to McCarran. Once the transport flight arrives at McCarran, a Patriot site will spawn at McCarran. Georgian Su-25T flights are to provide SEAD. AWACS Overlord is on 124 MHz AM Sand Viper Feb 5.miz
  6. It's buggy as far as I know. Homing signals in MP have been highly unreliable at best for years. Several people have pointed this out during the years, but it seems to be very low on ED's bug fix list. And that's a shame, since it adds so much to helo missions especially.:(
  7. same here. Extremely low FPS at cold start, returns to normal as soon as canopy is closed
  8. Pretty close to a game-breaker though, because the zoom function for the VR is now essentially unusable. Let's hope ED can fix it soon.
  9. From what I read on the 1.5.6 Open Beta forum, this is a 1.5.6 issue, not specific to the Viggen.
  10. same issues with screen freezes here. As mentioned earlier seems to have to do with loading of new terrain data. I have SSD and CV1. Using the zoom feature for CV1 is particularly choppy.
  11. Happy New Year. The F-14 looks pretty much ready, please release it now;)
  12. Normandy looks awesome, can't wait!
  13. Your Warthog throttle has two throttle levers, left and right engine. Use one of them to set RPM, the other to set boost.
  14. Thanks guys, your advice worked. I mapped my warthog throttle mic-switch up to the middle mouse button, and then assigned the middle mouse-button to push-to-talk for VAC.
  15. Thanks guys, I'll try those out tonight Max
  16. Hi, I am a VR user. I also use VAC to voice-activate functions that would otherwise require me to lift up my VR and use the keyboard. This works well in SP, but in MP when other players talk (or if the TV is on in the room), VAC triggers many false positive, leading to unwanted switch inputs etc. This problem could largely be circumvented if I could tell VAC only to listen for voice-commands while I hold down the HOTAS mic button. It is indeed possible to assign a hotkey in VAC for that purpose, but how do I assign a HOTAS button as a hotkey. If any-one knows a solution, let me know. Thanks!

  18. Has there been any word regarding how well the radar scope can be read in the oculus rift? I mean cockpit instruments are often difficult to read in the rift.
  19. Is there a way to turn this ASW off? It makes flying DCS a really bad experience for me. The main problem is that when making sharp turns (meaning the scenery displayed in the rift changes quickly), ASW leads to a very jerky motion. I've read online then I can turn it off by pressing CTRL-Num1, and that indeed works, but it sucks that I will have to press this every time I go into the sim. The oculus website instructs "to disable ASW set its registry key to 0". Unfortunately I don't have a PhD in computer engineering to figure this out. Can somebody dumb it down for me. Thanks!
  20. From my own experience and from I read on the forums, I can only underline what Art said. On a modern graphics card NTTR runs much better than 1.5, for people with old cards 1.5 runs better. Until a year ago I had a 770, and 1.5 and 2.0 ran about the same. Now I have a 1070, and 2.0 runs much better than 1.5.

    Thanks! Will try this!

What do you mean? Which switch in the cockpit turns it off? The main problem for me is that the FBW system always retrims, so if you make a small correction by pulling on the stick, once you release the plane will be trimmed in a nose up position and keep flying up rather than making a small corrections only. If that can be turned off, that would help enormously. Thanks, Wolle
