I'm not taking a swing at anyone here, I'm suggesting that there are some damned talented, helpful and selfless people out there in the MP community that help a LOT of your customers get your products working to the best of their ability and ultimately generating you revenue. My point was not to say that anybody who buys a module and never plays online is worth less than any other player. If that's how the community of SP guys reading this took it, I apologise. What I am saying that there are some fantastic people out there keeping this simulation going through the highs and the lows with their own time and money and they should be listened to. Much like a lot of other games out there have 'Town Halls' with leading members of the community passing on feedback to the developers of the game what works in the real world and what doesn't, after all, closed beta testing can only go so far and cannot hope to encompass every aspect of play.
  2. Totally agree. A lot of these guys pour their hearts and souls into building an environment where other players can come and enjoy the game, get some help and even learn a thing or two. Why shouldn't they be entitled to a little bit more love and support than the single player guy that buys a module off the shelf and offers nothing in return?
  3. I've also run a dedicated server for several years and echo the thoughts of many here. I also don't post much about the subject of MP stability as it has been done to death and ED have time and again said that the Dedicated Server is coming. However, just to add to the pile of wishes for this to be a priority based on the 'squeaky wheel' principle... I'd like a Dedicate MP server please!
  4. Hey guys, are you planning on allowing the plugin to run after switching profiles? DCS is not the only title that I use VoiceAttck for and I find it very frustrating to have to quit VA and load it again when I wish to fly DCS after playing something else, especially when I cant do that easily from within VR. To give you an idea, I have 30 separate VA Profiles that have cross-linking to allow for a lot of functionality across various games and applications.

  6. Yes, it can and no they don't. The only thing that I've noticed any real degradation with is the grass, and right now, I'm not seeing a lot of that in my Hornet ;) (Notice I said in my Hornet, I'm seeing plenty of it at the end of my silk let downs :( ) I've found setting the mask size to 0.600f works great for me with a CV1 and I will congratulate Kegetys for making my text easier to read in my MFD's!
  7. Same, although I still just had them at .575... :puke: It will kill the integrity check as it is making changes to core game files, but it does look very promising.

  9. Best of luck with your venture, I think it's a great idea to start fresh and clean and the Cessna is a really good idea for a first venture. You may even appeal to some civilian flight sim fans with that one.

  12. +1 This is quite frustrating when designing missions.
  13. Playing around with the mission editor it's pretty easy to get the infantry to run around at their default speed, but when trying to create a patrol pattern or something where the troops are walking, it's near impossible to get them to just walk and they end up stopping, walking, trotting, then stopping dead, then running around it circles and so on. Could we get an advanced way point action to 'Walk' 'Run' or 'Sprint' to make full use of the animations that you have made?
  14. Hey guys. I noticed whilst taxiing around the carrier this evening that the new Hornet model has a strange artifact with one of the closer range LOD models that creates a link between the Ailerons and the Flaps of the Hornet when the wings are folded. See below for the issue.

Hey guys, Whilst tooling around in the mission editor setting up the deck of the USS Stennis, I came across the option to set a trigger action to Play an argument for static units with an argument number, start value, stop value and speed. I opened up the Model Viewer and found the argument for the F-14A's canopy to be open as shown here: I setup the argument with the values for it to transition from closed to open, and set them up with a mission start trigger as shown here: Unfortunately, the Tomcat's sat on the carrier deck with no changes as shown here: This action also doesn't function with objects that are not linked to another object (such as the F-14A to the Stennis in this example), nor does it work with the release version of DCS. I also tried different trigger types such as 'Once' and set conditions such as time is more than 10, but the animation refused to play, and the canopy remained firmly closed.

  20. +1 on the pushback, but I guess that stuff will come with the parking logic. As for changing the ATC, there’s a hell of a lot more work goes on behind the magic curtain to get what you hear the ATC saying now to work. I can only imagine how much effort it’s taking ED to overhaul the ATC. Finally, for the video recording, not that I know of. The excellent DCS Updater utility has an option to output a better view, but I don’t know if recoding software would pick up on it or not...

  22. After the new Caucuses map, I was so impressed with the leaps and bounds made with the lighting effects, textures and terrain. My initial impression of the Persian Gulf map was also pretty good as I flew around Dubai and the major airfields, and saw the great level of detail in these major population areas. Now however I'm starting to put some missions together and placing objects out away from the major cities, such as factories, POL plants and the like, and the quality of the textures for these small towns frankly aweful. For example, here is a small town out in Iran at 27°43'40"N 58°50'23"E that illustrates my point. From the ME: From inside the game: The town sticks out on the terrain and looks completely out of place. Are there plans to improve these parts of the map and their textures?
  23. I agree with Pimp, the better you get at it, the sooner you can see the ball and I'm used to just making it out now as I roll out on the glide slope at 3/4 mile. That said, a lot of my VR wingmen have also stated that they'd love to be able to pop up something like the current kneeboard implementation with the FLOLS.
