  1. Has anyone already tested if LockOn can be extended to the required 180° FOV and how it then behaves concerning zoom and TIR?
  2. Would be great to have a feature in the new DCS Mission Editor that saves me from doing the same flight/waypoint creation steps over and over again for every client plane individually when building large multiplayer missions. My proposed solutions: - Either build a copy/paste function for units and their actions, - Or allow to create multi-plane client flights. This would really be a major improvement/timesaver!
  3. Re-Activation Announcement: vJaBoG32 Tiger Talons Country: Germany, Austria, Switzerland Status: Selection, Training Contact: exter@virtual-jabog32.de Site: http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=news&lang=en
  4. I remember Jim on LLTM mumbling something like he would be quite busy in the coming September...:music_whistling: ... though he didn´t elaborate whether this was due to some release date or because of him then desperately searching for excuses why it will be somewhen next year... :pilotfly: My, what a memorable weekend LLTM2008 was...! And largely so thanks to Jim, Groove, Urze and their whole BS team. Great insights! BTW, I recall there was a "post your estimated BS release date" competition-thread on our forums a long time ago. Whoever gets it right or closest wins... I think I said it would be May 2006, but anyways, what are two and a half years when you got friends like my squadmates and a community like you madmen!?! Cheers!
  5. Some mindreaders at work @ ED... - it´s up! http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&file=877&lang=en Happy leeching!
  6. It´s up to ED to use our download server for official stuff at their discretion. They have all the access neccessary, and they decide on their own when to use it and for what. Usually they upload their videos and link us as Central European Mirror right away. We have no information why they have not (yet?) done so this time. I am downloading the vid right now from the US and will upload it maybe tomorrow while on shift (need the bandwidth until then), unless ED beat me putting it up earlier...
  7. AH-64D Apache Longbow I loved Jane´s Longbow and Longbow 2, logged many many hours in those two and especially enjoyed human pilot and gunner with a friend via LAN.
  8. Sorry if I repeat stuff already said, I didn't manage to keep up to date with this monster thread. Some of my humble wishes should be rather easy to do, some were even planned for LOMAC1.0: - my No.1: allow for more precise trimming of SFM aircraft by drastically reducing the effect/trim range of a single trim keystroke. - multiplayer Air-To-Air-Refuelling on AI tankers with working and visible booms/hoses. And kill the automatic autopilot/autothrottle activation for boom receivers (F-15/A-10)! - working master battery power switch for all aircraft. Keep it simple, no fancy HSI align like in AFM aircraft necessary. - working master arm switch for all aircraft (and I mean "working", not only moving like in the A-10!) - fix F-15 radar displaying IAS while pretending it's TAS - make HSI stay functional and steerpoints stay selectable in combat modes - make airbases selectable in western aircraft ILS/return mode - make gun rate select working for A-10 and F-15 at least (I donґt know if it can be selected in the real Russian planes). No one likes moving switches without effect (see A-10)! - revert back to the 1.02 AIM-120 performance - revert back to classifying a mission means also locking the client aircraft loadouts to what the mission designer desires to be carried (1.02) or allow for a restrictable range of loadout choices - mission editor: copy/paste function for aircraft/unit flightplans/waypoints to save time when building missions. Alternatively: allow to create multi-client flights, then the waypoints have to be set only once - allow to empty gun magazines and chaff/flare dispensers in the payload screen - to create fully ballanced missions: add to coalitions a REDLAND and a BLUELAND, each equipped with EVERY unit available in LockOn - make altimeter pressure setting selectable for all a/c, not only AFMs plus add changeable barometric pressure to editor weather screen. - weather: when clouds are not overcast but only few then activated snow or rain should only occur below those few clouds and not everywhere. - clouds: up to editor stage 8 of 10 they are still only few, then suddenly stages 9 and 10 are overcast. I miss scattered and broken. Multiple layers would be nice as well. - when on imperial unit settings, give wind in knots and in direction coming from, not in direction blowing to. Stick to RL standards. - review F-15 and A-10 flight models for discrepancies between AoA and airspeed. Example: If you try to fly optimum final approach AoA in F-15 according to AoA Indexer, you stall before reaching it. There's also still something wrong with HUD field of view angles on final. - review SFM wheelbrake performance, those are too effective. Needing only 200 meters landing roll on full brakes is not realistic. - add keycommands "open airbrake" and "close airbrake" that move those devices to intermediate stages as long as held down. - implement selectable number of F-15 radar azimuth scan bars. - make radar antenna horizontal (yaw) movement controllable by an analogue axis. So far for now.
  9. Here's the link to the official LLTM2008 Foto Gallery: It will grow over the next weeks when visitors upload further footage. http://www.lowlandtigermeet.com/gallery/2008/index.html And on this pic edited by Exter are this year's vJaBoG32 participants framing Jim Mack' who enjoyed the German beer:
  10. Here's the large group foto of all 2008 LLTM participants: http://www.lowlandtigermeet.com/2007/images/stories/nieuws/lltm2008_groupphoto2.jpg I beg your patience since some might still be travelling, most won't have their hardware set up at home yet, and we all had 3 or 4 days with awfully little sleep. But huge loads of fun instead! Footage and stories will start to flow within the next days, I'm sure!
  11. Mirrored also here: http://http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=20&file=834&lang=en
  12. Thanks for the discovery.
  13. The vJaBoG32 Tiger Talons http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=tigertalons&lang=en Country: Germany Status: Inactive since late 2005 True story, but a joke nevertheless. :smilewink: No need to add us, if we ever reactivate them, we'll let you know.
  14. The show is about to start again, in half an hour the VTBs are going to kick it off again. For those who missed some of yesterday´s displays, replays of all streams are available on the VFAT homepage http://www.virtual-airshows.com For video makers, in-game and audio tracks are available from http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=vfat Download links to the right of each schedule item. Enjoy!
  15. Sorry, we´re almost all busy with VFAT, but good luck with the tests!
  16. Live Stream is up, for the time with pause screen (VFAT banner) and some music. At 20:00 GMT the show will start with Breitling Jet Team and their L-39s. Enjoy the show!
  17. Rgr, I wish I had your monkeys calculating my taxes...:music_whistling:
  18. 70% of 500 points is 350 points, not 210...:smilewink:
  19. Stages 9 and 10 of the cloud densitiy slider on the mission editor weather page create closed overcast layers, everything else just creates few CUs...
  20. Very nice pictures! And me poor bastard sitting in the middle of it all on the scope trying to babysit the whole bunch while they cause havok for the other 8.500 daily airspace users. Two more weeks to go, same shit - different year...
  21. What are you gonna do? - Spam useless LOPEd Phoenixes at him like what you got banned for from our server? You should be careful with your insults, youґre too much of an annoyance to the community to have the rep to spill shiat on one of the boys and get away with it being regarded as friendly teasing.
  22. Awesome! Have to rep you once again!
  23. I´m pro-mod because of the benefits and because of being a happy LL-Mod user for many years without a problem ever. For me it would also not be neccessary to build a new LOCERF-Mod, just use what is there and proven and make the LL Mod patch status for the exercise. MHO
  24. same problem here...
  25. Just leave ECM at home then and pack 2 more ´73s:music_whistling:
