  1. Wow, guys, that is soooooo cool! Pity I mostly fly the US buckets... Looking forward to seeing you all again on LLTM. When JaBoG32_Laud sees this post, he will marry you all once he regains his conciousness...:)
  2. Good to have you back, Wolfie! Errr, and just in case you get bored by normal LOMACing, why not try a revival of CAW?:music_whistling: It doesnґt have to be so full-blown to stress the fun out of it for you... I donґt care if thereґs no special mod or website or whatever, a simple forum thread could be enough to organize stuff... It would be completely up to you to shape it in a way that is fun for you to handle. But weґll see, even without something like CAW, I think this year will be an exciting one for us. No matter whatґs left undone in BS, the new Addon will keep us busy for another two years or so... All the best for you and your site!
  3. Great! ... and another impressive proof that most of us just could not sustain physically what we so easily dream of doing... What a stress!
  4. The virtual Fighterbomber Wing 32 is looking for new pilots to fly the Su-27, MiG-29S, F-15C, A-10A or Su-25T in one of our two squadrons. Our focus is realism, going beyond the simulation depth of LockOn to reproduce fighter pilot business as realistic as possible. We offer loads of challenging fun: - Squadwars against other virtual squadrons from all over the world - Internal online campaign with evolving political background story and ressources management - Advanced fighter and bomber tactics training - Human AWACS/GCI with Zillionґs proggie - Realistic visual approach and departure procedures (will be made public soon) - Human ATC (Tower, GCA) - Extensive 3-phase training system with flexible timeframe, suited for absolute beginners training as well as LOMAC veteran familiarization - Formation aerobatics display team "vJaBoG32 Tiger Talons" (Su-27) - Career opportunities as staff member, flight leader, instructor pilot, display pilot or air traffic/intercept controller, in addition to "daily" combat-ready business For more information about us check the rules section on our homepage. We are looking forward to your application!
  5. I play LockOn exclusively online, but not neccessarily public. 90% of my ingame time is squad-internal training, online campaigning and recruit training...
  6. Also available here: http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=20&lang=en
  7. Sorry, but you are mixing up things here, my friend! This motto has absolutely nothing to do with virtual JaBoG32, you will find it nowhere on our homepage except in my signature. Even on other forums, without any "JaBoG32_Woodstock" graphics and under other names, I carry this slogan in my sig. Itґs one of my mottos in life, and I worked hard for and fully enjoy my pilotґs license. :pilotfly: Cool, looking forward to that! You see, Iґm trying anything to bring as much participants or visitors to the event as possible. Youґve been particularly hard to convince but now I gotcha! And it gets even better: Iґll bring you one of our patches as a present... :P
  8. Yes, of course, no one getґs oppressed here. Post and let everyone whoґs ever been there see that you havenґt got a clue what you are talking about. Frazer, Laud and me donґt criticise you for your different opinion on flightsuits in particular, we criticize you for bringing your opinion on this up in a thread about an event that does nothing but good to the flightsim community. Youґre implying that a bunch of illminded militarists gathers there, thus youґre doing wrong to something without knowing the truth. If you yourself donґt want to wear gear and patches, donґt. No one of us will ever think good or bad about you for doing or not doing it. And you shouldnґt think or talk bad about us vice versa. But we should stop the argument now, since itґs leading nowhere and canґt be resolved in here. I donґt want this thread to get closed since itґs about something good that deserves continuing promotion.:)
  9. Thereґs no need to cool down, because it canґt get any cooler than this event.:matrix:  The point is that everyone can do what he/she likes best, be it showing his homepit or wearing his pilot gear or whatever. No one jumps at each other because of different oppinions, itґs about live and let live on the common basis of military flight simulation. I think you should stop condemning people for having a different view than yours. This thread is about promoting a great event that brings the community closer together, not about flaming it for personal reasons. If you donґt like what you might see, just donґt come. Or come anyway and let the open, peaceful and down-to-earth minds of the participants speak for themselves. But donґt harm something that you never even whitnessed yourself.
  10. Yes, itґs only slightly over three hours flying time from e.g. Cambridge in a Cessna 172...:smartass:
  11. No need to be disturbed, itґs a great bunch of openminded and intelligent people from all over Europe there. They are all just having fun with their hobby, you wonґt find a single stupid militarist there, but many friendly and free spirits. Some of them enjoy wearing their milflightsim collectorґs items for the weekend, one Dutch guy even runs around in a full F-16 flightgear with helmet, mask and g-suit from time to time, scaring visitors by standing in a corner like a puppet and then suddenly moving. :megalol: Heґs a nice person like they all are, and Iґm looking forward to seeing them again! - While wearing my flightsuit... Thereґs absolutely no wannabe military atmosphere at this event. Come by and check it out for yourself! Iґm shure you would feel comfy to be surrounded by so many aviation enthusiasts.
  12. Sorry for bumping! This event ranges in the same class as FORTIS DogfightCup and VFAT, so I´m trying to keep it on page 1 for a couple of days... I promise I´ll stop promoting it somewhen mid-april...:music_whistling:
  13. Yeah, we had to build one into an 100Mbit university network server ourselves...
  14. Check this page: http://www.verbalass.com/dedmac/ Very straightforward and well explained. Even me myself understood it after only one explanation by our Server Admin. And Iґm a real loser with those thingies normally... In case anything remains unclear, mail to chrissi@virtual-jabog32.de
  15. LLTM 2007 Homepage English Site Version For seven years now, The LowLand TigerMeet is the ultimate LAN event for milflightsim enthusiasts from all over the world. Over one hundred pilots and many more visitors gather in Central Europe for 3 days of pure fun. For one weekend, you get to jump into your flightsuit, pack your PC gear or whole homepit and fully celebrate your hobby with your brethren-in-spirit. This years 9th edition again features highly suspensefull competitions for IL2, LockOn and the Official European Championships for Falcon 4: Allied Force. Can you "Feel The Challenge"? CU @ll there!
  16. I have owned and/or thoroughly tested many HOTAS hardware combos. Thrustmaster, CH Products, Saitek, Suncom - you name it. I turned out to stick with the TM Cougar for some years now, however mine is highly modified. If you are a beginner and unsure of your flightsim future (dedication, time etc.) get an X-52. If roughly € 200.- is your absolute maximum, you might get disappointed by a stock TM Cougar after some time and might want to consider a slightly cheaper X-52 PRO. If money is secondary to best hardware feel, performance, realism and programmability, then get a modded Thrustmaster Cougar. I tuned mine with force sensor, throttle Hall sensor and Simped F-16 pedals. But it might cost you the price of a nice holiday with your girl... If you are willing to spend good money for good quality and trouble- and work-free usage, get CH Products. Stick is ~ € 170.-, throttle ~ € 170.- and maybe additional pedals ~ € 150.- (CH or Saitek). I hope I could help a little. Besides hard facts like price and quality, a lot of soft factors like feel, looks and personal preference come into play. Donґt let yourself get influenced by biased fanbois, itґs about your own liking. Test as many systems as you can get your hands on before making a decision. Enjoy yourself in one of the greatest hobbies on earth! :pilotfly:
  17. Already mentioned by others, but to support the demand: - new terrain - AI vehicle behaviour (air defense, reaction to attack, strategy, projectile behaviour) - rotor blade damage by flora - Ka50 ejection system
  18. Depends on the situation and a lot of factors, of course... But why not combine both? Go high and fast for the launch, then drop down below your target to keep the lock. Give it a try!
  19. Very good work, FOX, well done! Thank you very much! @ll: To all you movie-makers out there: There are still by far not enough movies about VFAT2006. Take a look at the footage, there are still many brilliant moments which are well worth being put together and featured in a movie. I for one would love to see a dedicated short video of Frazer´s Slow Roll while keeping his nose between the two tailfins of his teammate. Please someone cut it together from many perspectives with some fitting music. To me it was the maneuver of the year, the best of the whole LO´06 season!
  20. Besides LOMAC: - F4:AF - ArmA - MS FS9 on VATSIM network
  21. I think there is no quick need for a cockpit panel texture. It would be more important to be able to move and scale the instruments any place and size you want, so that pit builders can put an LCD behind a wooden/plastic/metal panel.
  22. Some background info: "Computerbild Spiele" is Germany´s largest gaming magazine, issuing 2.something million every 2 months. The mag is released in 3 versions: - basic edition with 1 CD for € 2,50 - DVD edition with 1 DVD for € 3,60 - Gold edition with 2 DVDs for € 4,50 Current DVD and Gold editions feature full version of LockOn + 1.02 patch. So we are getting maybe like over one million new LOMAC owners (not neccessarily players) in Germany, and I really hope that maybe a couple hundred find their way into the online community and to Flaming Cliffs. Unfortunately the magazine doesn´t offer any feedback possibility in it´s online presence (no forum or guestbook etc.), otherwise I would have already advertised... - the mag itself doesn´t even mention the add-on or any weblinks. Don´t expect too much of a boost from this event.
  23. Alright, I suggest to stop the discussion, gentlemen, we are all violating forum rules here. For my squad, the case has sufficiently been dealt with. If you have feedback for Corsair or me, please give it in Private Message form. @ Flip: Even if he fired (and he did) the Phoenix, he wouldn´t have hit anything, since the Phoenix will not manoeuvre when fired from a client plane.
  24. I luv Frank´s sig! LMAO
