Yes I think this should be standart practice. If you do something that does not match RL model, (like this VTB display or in MiG-21 ASP missile and bombing piper simplifications) there should be an option to change it to LR specifications or tutorial how to do it via LUA or whatever for those who want it.

It is definetly possible to do this in DCS. Ive done it several times, sometimes with bend L/G, sometimes not. That was pre 1.5 version tho.
-
I dont think that will help, well maybe somewhat, but I wouldnt be interested in flying in Nevada even if it was free so comunity will still be split. And more maps more split in the comunity you will see, because everybody will have their preferences. I fear the quick production of many maps may not exactly be good thing for DCS.

Timescape - :) in the warp core explosion, that was good episode.

Well, the bug is that you are getting G-loc within 0.5s of the onset of the inertial rotation.

Stop arguing omg, keeping visual is DAMN hard and I have a proof. Listen to this HVK2YtNofeI

You are wrong right there. What we have seen on our monitors before this was unrealistic because of limitation of our monitors as compared to RL. This has been discuses to death, thats why they started the whole project. Yes, as of now its gamelpay aid because its done incorrectly, that does not mean it it will stay(and it shouldnt) like that. If done correctly it will be much more close to actual RL visibility. I also dont think there should be any sort of customization on this, it should be just one correct (closest to RL as possible) setting an it should be hard coded with no changes possible. There should be consistency in this and not that one server will have it turn on, other turned on and another on half seting, omg what a mess that would be.

I agree, this implementation is extremly unrealistic. Even on "small" setting i was able to spot small L-39 even over 30km quite easily, which is total bs. The two highest settings are total joke, might as well put neon signs "im here" all over the sky instead of aircrafts. Basicly enlarged model visibility should only apply below 20km unless verry big airframe to be somewhat realistic and "small" seting is the sweet spot imho. One more thing, changing of this settings require game restart for me, not cool.

Your mod is great, thx for that. EDs not so much, that update is total mess.

Make sure aileron booster swith is in on (forward) position before take off. It gets switched off sometimes...bug.

Yea, like that whooshing sound in F3 view when about 0.9M. That should not exist. I too think sound engine needs some work.

The nose leg autonomus extention handle causes nose gear to be released from up-lock and extinguishing red light on the contol panel. If the nose gear failed to lock in down-lock increase airspeed to 700kph and apply alternating G load to make sure nose gear is extended refering to indicator. Thats what it say not that it should always extend and lock. Last I checked it was working for me. Edit: Actualy I cheked it again, and it in fact does not work as it should. The nose wheel does not get disengaged from up-lock when extention handle is pulled and the light wont go out.

Yea they do especialy the one in manual. How can you explain to me that I was able to recover from spins (multiple times) with just setting all controls to neutral position? I took little bit more height than it should but still works.
-
Known issue, its because some textures were messed up in last update. Will be fixed in next update.
-
That did not changed at all, maybe he got better at landing. And 380kph is 50kph above max. landing speed with normaly operating flaps and BLC.

Im going to say that this chart is posibly another standard climb profile for hight alt. climb and not the MiG-21 max. performance. Even max. 0.5m/s at 19 000m sounds way low, thats 1000m in about 30min. I think he would be out of fuel by the time he got to 20 000m and MiG-21s could go higher than that for sure. I agree with you on the fact that most of them didnt fly that high or that fast, due to munerous facts like pilot/plane safety, engine performance limitations, engine life preservation, whatever mainenance issues....

Was just tessalation (stupid me). Enable tessalation if you have it in your graphic card settings.

Nice find, after tryout I can say the same. The difference between NO trafic and HIGH is about 13FPS on my setup in a MiG-21 take off mission. Thats pretty considerable given they are just bunch of useless trucks.
-
There certainly were MiG-21 fixes. I dont know from where you getting info.
-
Im still geting this after hotfix2, anyone else? Was it not fixed?

Lot of ppl including me sometimes forget about trim. If you have high nose up trim when you stall it you push the stick but nothing happens, because you dont have much authority into nosing down. I constantly remind myself about my trim when flying.

Tested it too set guns, wingspan, radar lock on An-26, piper on and all shots went above no mater distance. For hits I had to aim in the middle of the upper half of the piper.

The climb from 1000m to 10 000m is done with constant TAS of 870kph, then you fly level at 10 000m until you reach IAS 1200kph that is about 1,9M (close to MiGs max. allowed speed). After that you climb at constant 1.85M to altitude you want. Sorry, but those are two different climb profiles, so yes you are lying. If I run up the 21 at 1000m close to its max. speed of IAS 1300kph I can be at 10 000m in 90s. No you dont have to. But but you should, thats why they are as procedures in manual. Ok, you show some data that sugests that you cant. Clearly you dont know what service ceiling means, you should look it up. If I test handling of a 21 in about 17 500m it behaves close to what service ceiling means. Well my AOA indicator was showing about 15 in level flight at 21 000m, so I dont know how higer it would go without staling. I will agree to disagree on this subject.
-
I dont see a reason why it shouldnt be able to do that. If you going fast enough at given altitude and point the nose to the stars you will go to the stars. Engine will stop working at about 22 000m and you will ride the rest of the way on momentum exchanging your stored kinetic energy for potential energy. What is so hard to comprehend here? Service ceiling is not maximum level flight altitude for an aircraft, and as I dont fly Su-25, Su-27 Im not comenting their performance.
