Are you sure you just not slaming it to hard on the ground? Cos that is what happens to me sometimes, in absolute majority of time I have no problems. Now what botheres me is in fact the even with light damage I sometimes loose whole wheel as was mentioned above. This realy bugs me because from what I know that is one of the most durable part of the plane. Hell sometimes I even get damaged/loose front L/G through the closed door and it has no sign of damage:music_whistling:.

HOTAS TMS (LCTRL + [UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT] not responding
Golo replied to fjoesne's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ok so you need to make SPI somewhere on the hud. First make sure you have HUD as SOI - Sensor of interest (small asterisk on the left side of the hud). Then you have to slew TDC - Target designation cue (small box) to some place on terrain you like. Then you have to hold TMS UP Long (for like 2sec) which will make SPI - Sensor point of interest - where you had your TDC In control config TMS UP = TMS Forward TMS DOWN = TMS Aft Look here - 1min mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JztibZnPTs -
HOTAS TMS (LCTRL + [UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT] not responding

Are you absolutly sure you have to use TMS control, not DMS ? TMS is Target management switch - used mainly when dealing with targets and other tactical situations DMS is Data management switch - used to control MFDs such as TAD display moving map and so on. Since you are in navigation mision its probably DMS down comand. -
Not a problem if you get used to it. And I myself find it useful on many occasions. For example when taxiing to make fine ajustments I rather use throtles than rudders, or when taxiing in the windy condition I set diferential thrust to keep me on line depending on wind direction/speed. I use it lot in long coordinated turns and in AAR when tanker is in turn. I use rudders usualy if I want to realy push the aircraft in the yaw axis.

There are no vibrations (or almost none) after you get past ETL transition. I guess you are refering to vibrations during cruise at speeds over 100kts. If that is true it has to do with different effect and that is retreating blade stall and it is as it should be as far as I can tell.

If I may I want to point to another kind of exaggerated effect and that is ground oscilation when starting and shuting down the engine. I watched countless vids of huey starting up an other helis IRL and never saw this effect been so obvious. This is in no way extra important for fixing, just pointing out my opinion.

You should stop aiming by your sight, follow your bullets - look where they are going and ajust accordingly. That works for me. Remember that bullet never lies, its the sights that do.

Agreed, we will see after it is in operational use, but my statement before is just what I think of it if I look at it in a first place. Bit off topic I realised, sorry I just had to.

There is a saying - Looks good flyes good. It apply to all planes since lets say Spitfire to Pak FA. F-35 looks ugly. It looks like it has features of many planes - fighter, bomber, attack, stealth... It is Jack of all trades and master of none. And it will fly like that.

I mean activation switches/buttons separate for XM60 for pilot and flexible sight for co-pilot. Because now you are activating both at once.
-
Question is will there be separate controls for flexible sight and XM60 gunsight? Because as of now both this systems are tied together. It should have separate controls for pilot and co-pilot. (thinking ahead to multiple players in same huey)

Flaps works for me ok they are in synch with physical position on my WH. Throttles and ENG Fuel Flow does not work for me. It does not bother me, as I said you still have to do pre startup checklist and set it correctly.
-
Almost Flaps are always down in ramp start so Flaps: DOWN (Down) Be sure you make pre startup checs anyway

So to get it straight, If I am in hover and lower collective a bit I enter Settling with power which is perfectly controled flight until my vertical velocity will reach number where VRS is developed (eating own downwash) then I have a problem. If so I already knew that except the fact that its called settling with power. Good info thx
-
Wait a sec, what ? I thought its the same thing. BTW its realy no problem, I have to be realy careless and distracted by something to enter VRS at any time. Transition out of ETL is somewhat trickier, it places me all over the place if not managed carefuly, but not real problem either.

RCtrl + Enter by default I think

Could someone explain me these engines failures ?
Golo replied to FZG_Immel's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Not sure if its just me but Ive noticed your engine coolant temp. at 120°C on take off, and in air way over that. Max allowed is 121°C. You are also warming the engine on 1400rpm with both rads closed! Carefully here, this engine can build up heat very quickly. Correct way would be - both rads fully open before engine startup and warm up at 800rpm till oil temp 40°C, and watch that collant temp. If its something else I didnt notice. On just a side note - you switch on pitot heat way to early it should be switched just before take off (if not in cold wather) otherwise it would overheat without ram air to cool it down. -
I agree too, I dont want to see this low fidelity planes fly in DCS world, let them stay in their own playground. Well at least I hope there will be servers restricted only to true - DCS planes so we can fly without these misfits.

Just to say, those missions you have there are awesome and they realy deserve some carrier love too ;)

No F-14s, F-18s ? No VNAO support in 104s missions ?
