WCS to standby?

There are more pressing matters to resolve or features to add than wire curling that would only boost immersion by 0,021%, imho.

F-14B RWR doesn't detect MiG-31 R-33 (SARH) launch
Golo replied to umkhunto's topic in Bugs and Problems
True, R-33 is Russian equivalent of AIM-54, depending on the launch profile it can be FOX1 (SARH), or FOX 3 (datalinked with active terminal radar homing). -
Yes, observe the slip ball its right in front of you. When you extend refueling probe the ball will move left (opposite of the yaw due to probe extension), I always step on the ball to center it.

I love how this thing is speaking to pilot at all stages of flight, you dont even have to get your head inside cockpit to know how you are performing. The noise and buffeting feedback is just perfect for hands on fighter like F-14. The sudden stillness when you get in the air after take off roll, the mild buffeting when in transsonic region, the unexpected roll and buffeting in someones jet wash or wingtip vortex, and the violent protest of the beast against unreasonable AOA pull is just amazing. In comparison F/A-18 I still fly sometimes feels totally sterile, no feedback at all.

No its correct, it is the angular deflection limits of the AOA sensor itself. From what I know this sensor is registering "local AOA" at the place it is installed. Local AOA at the sensor location will be different from true wing AOA due to airflow disturbance around the nose where the sensor is installed. You have posted that link to that Boeing AOA article, Im sure its mentioned there.

You are calculating wrong thing and that is AOA vane deflection according to AOA instrument, that is your 1,667°. You have to calculate AOA instrument scale to real wing AOA position. You know that angle of incidence of the wing is 0,74°, when you are on the ground and AOA instrument scale is 4,5 units, You also know that 15 units AOA is real 10° wing AOA. (if those values are not right somebody correct me) Based on that according to my calculations (1 units AOA = 0,883° wing AOA): 0 units AOA = -3,23° wing AOA 4,5 units AOA = 0,74° wing AOA 15 units AOA = 10° wing AOA 30 units AOA = 23,25° wing AOA

You are overreacting a big way, I was able to takeoff just fine within parameters described in pilot manual and landing was absolutely fine, direction control was no problem with a little crosswind and my VS during touchdown was less than 1m/s at about 300km/h, so very controlable, didnt even had to use chute. This was great update to MiG-21 (appart from that 38° AOA problem), it feels lively if somewhat under powered.

Make sure you disconnect external power first after starting right engine. According to F-14B natops flight manual: "...,the HYD TRANSFER PUMP will not operate if the external power plug is still in the aircraft receptacle."

To lazy to look around a little? Its on the second page already. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266799

If you use SRS go to the F-14 controls settings and bind this from radio category: Mic Button ICS - SRS Only / No Menu Mic Button UHF1 (ARC-159) - SRS Only / No Menu Mic Button UHF2 (ARC-182) - SRS Only / No Menu You have to bind them to three separate buttons, and it will only trigger your SRS, no radio menu will open (make sure you have those buttons set in SRS also). But, you will need additional keys set for radio menu if you want to use that. You can leave that setting in a special tab at default, works for me.

Its not accurate, it was shown that the stick is partly clipping through HSI in its forward most position. So fixing trim issue is great, but please fix the sticks neutral position and travel range too so we can actually see the HSI display.

Yes, its a must have BVR feature for Jester.

Disregard, pump operation is correct as is.

Just a little update. Pump is still not working from cold start for me, but I went ahead and flown a practice flight. After I landed and as I was shutting off left engine, I left the hydr. transfer pump on and pressure held at 3000psi, then I swithed the pump off and pressure dropped as it should, after reengaging the pump pressure went back up to 3000psi. Ive cycled it few times and it worked OK as it should. Might do something with not be able to remove ground power in cold startup in 2.5.6 maybe? Only way now is just to move the plane to screams of plane captain...
-
Hi, Ive tested startup from cold, and when I had right engine up I air cranked left engine to 3000psi hydr. pressure (with with hydr transfer pump off), then returned crank switch to neutral watched LH hydr pressure drop a little to see a decrease and switched the hydr. tranfer pump back on. But to my surprise it did not led to rise in LH hydr. pressure. Hydr. transfer pump had no effect and LH hydr pressure went to 0. Im pretty sure it was working OK before patch, Its not a anything major, just can you have a look at it? Thx

Dont know why did you use this color coding, its confusing. My one suggestion would be to make the colors on the trap sheet match the AOA indexer in the plane. Yellow - On speed (and slightly slow/fast) Red - Fast Green - Slow
-
Nope, Its in the startup checklist to verify its correct operation. Thx for the explanation, make sense to remove it for now. Keep up the amazing work you are doing.

Speaking of new FM tweaks this update (they are awesome), when operating airbrake stab trim did not move at all for me. Im pretty sure it was so (stab trim movement) before the update. Can anyone check on that? Might be something on my end, but I thought Ill say just in case.

Eeeeeerrrr. Wrong. The normal flap and slat extension is controlled using the FLAP handle on the Throttle Quadrant. The flaps can be set to anywhere between retracted and fully extended where the flaps will extend to 35° and the slats to 17°. The keybind (axis) control for flaps is realy needed.

No, just no. If I knew that I would have never bought it in the first place.

Be sure you are not in DM/DG modes (deselect the modes by pressing return to search). If you are in those mods and attacking ground targets, pressing weapon release will launch your AIM-9 missiles if you have them and are switched on, or not release anything if you dont have them, or are switched off (both seemed to happen for you).
-
So it seems to be only Mk-82s, and not just on F-5 either. When fling today I noticed same Mk-82s attached incorrectly on AV-8B too (other stores were OK).
-
Both Mk-82 and Mk-82SE bombs are positioned incorrectly on pylons. Anyone can confirm? Im on version 2.5.1 OB. Other bombs seems to be positioned correctly, but I did not test them all. Will update on my next flight tomorow

All weapons work fine in the mission for me. One thing I remembered fighting those 21s though. Before engaging ground targets after A/A engagement be sure you are not in DM/DG modes (deselect the modes by pressing return to search). If so and attacking ground targets you would even fire your AIM-9 missiles if you still had them on, or not fire at all. Might be what troubles you, might not, but if properly configured all weapons work fine for me.
