  1. Obvious question comes in mind - Gear handle back in neutral position after take off?
  2. I see it the same. In fact I have been saying that since version 1.3 or so when it got lost from FM. It is definitely too stable in roll at slow speed/high AOA, there should be sometimes as much as +- 50deg of wing rocking at 200km/h as described in manual.
  3. That helped a lot, very well written and easy to follow, thank you.
  4. MiG-21 does not have APU (at least not in the sense you think of it), it has starter-generator. It is elektromotor that spins up the engine and after engine reaches specific rpm its function is changed to generate electric power, so no you do not need to switch it off. It can be started with external el. power connected or on internal bateries only.
  5. I was doing some tests week or two ago and acceleration on the deck from 0,6M to 0,9M is about 4-5s faster with emergency burner compared to full burner. So it is doing something. What did you expect it would do ?
  6. Yes, same here. I dont understand why is this forced on us, it should have been optional in the first place.
  7. Mach/IAS indikator functions correctly as far as I know. I was flying yesterday and it worked ok. However the labeling of the Mach scale is incorrect (as it was already noted in bug repport) making the mach indicator verry difficult to use, well I would actually say useless. I was expecting it would be patched in 1.5.5, but... well its not crittical bug just user friendly one.
  8. Try turning tessellation to on/auto in graphic card settings.
  9. Maybe bird strike on left engine on take off? The engine could experience some damage resulting in high ITT, low RPM possible shut-down. If you keep your throttle lever in max afterburner it attempts airstart again as you experienced, and high ITT, low RPM again. Whatch your instruments on take off and move your affected engine throttle to idle/off.
  10. I have same experience, so far Ive been only able to lock targets less than 5 miles out. At the distance closer than 5 miles you have to think about other things than radar anyway, so it makes it practically useless. In DM/DG it does not show position of enemy on hud like in manual locking so its also useless mods. Only thing this radar is good for now is scan for better SA. In MiG-21 last night Ive locked on F-5 at 18-19km (11 miles) without problem, which is almost maximum lock distance of the radar.
  11. Says you, I have different point of view. Its ****ing ironic that EDs anti cheat feature is forcing me to cheat to set this back to my preference.
  12. I agree, Mi-8 solution with some more thoughts in it would be perfect. This really is one of the features that should be adopted by ED and made required standard for all modules.
  13. Well, since you changed max FOV to 150, I expect you will also tell me how do I set it back to what it was without violating IC.
  14. I did, all other aircraft seem to show their symbol, except where 21 should be I have just S, and there were no EWR systems anywhere near that symbol where I got downed by 21.
  15. That S symbol on my rwr is that supposed to be MiG-21? I have flown in F-5 lot and did not see any 21 symbol on my rwr yet.
  16. Yes what Zaelu said, except I dont use axis for zoom. That EDs views IC check is terrible idea, and I made thread about that too some time ago.
  17. I dont use axis for zoom, im using max, min and normal (my saved value) zoom. And this new setup I dont like a one bit. Let the multiscreen users modify their setup so they can fail IC check not me.
  18. Great, and those of us who use single monitors what? We will have stupid fisheye view with 150 FOV. And if we try to change it in LUAs we will fail IC.
  19. Not only that, but I also cant get lock past about 5miles (in MiG-21 I can lock targets at 20km without much problems) which is about half of my 21 lock distance despite F-5 having more powerfull radar.
  20. Yea, you are totally right, I just tested it again in this version and its way off. In previous updates I was flying 21 lot, and it was fine as I was saying. Now the gears cant stand harder landing. MiG-21 is getting from 10 to 5 and not just in this.
  21. It is possible, Ive done it few times myself without any gear damage. You still have to be careful not to release it too high or with too high vertical speed, but it is definetly possible.
  22. Yea, what Art-J said, longest you were in negatives I counted 7s, the aircraft can handle that. Critical amount of Gs are 0, you can stay there only for a two seconds or so.
  23. Yea, that one is a pain in a... its also a bug, its not how it works in a real aircraft, it has been in a bugtracker for some time now. Its a things like that that make operating of the systems more difficult than they should.

    Wheel Brakes

Maybe, I can remember exactly same argument for ineffective brakes in F-86 module, maybe its a BST thing. It certainly feels like they are very ineffective, I can just barely stop before end of rwy in F-5 using brakes only on most airfields.
  25. Yes that is how I have it set up zoom in FOV 10 for close view if I need, normal FOV around 60ish for dogfighting, and zoom out FOV 90 for general flying, formations ... I did set it up this way (radio swith) long time ago and I am used to that. I edit the luas cos I dont like how it is set up, and I dont see reason why it should cause any restriction for MP.
