Still no progress on key bindings? Ragnadar if what you said is true then in some internal build somewhere they are sorted. When will they come to release? After all that is what we paid for a complete module.

I have used two Leo Bodnar boards bit more expensive but very reliable. Have a look http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=94

Hey Coxy, Any chance you could share your NVidia tweaks? Cheers

Nineline. ....I really like that as an idea and a way forward. From my limited experience of third party developers on the forums and on ts and as a tester they are from our community and enthusiasts about the flightsim world who stick their neck out to produce modules. From that point of view they would surely want their module to live on in the DCS world. I really hope VEAO can be persuaded to come round to that way of thinking. Whatever people think of the Hawk as a module it, in my opinion, is a loss to our rich simulation and the current situation is a worrying precedent. Let's hope for a happy new year.

I have been with ED as a customers since Su 27 Flanker days and until the Yak I have bought everything in the DCS universe. My attitude to 3rd Party Developers has always been to buy at pre release in an effort to support diverse development, give them my money to encourage them. I estimated about $320 of my money paid out on modules alone. The VEAO situation makes me feel uneasy that because of a change in a 3rd party's fortune I could potentially lose modules that not only have I spent money on but perhaps more importantly spent a great deal of time on them. I welcome the attempts by ED to reduce this risk in the future and hope for more developents in this area in the new year.

Brilliant Baltic...the master at work..! Thanks for sharing..

For my two penneth. Shrek Squadron has the same issue earlier this evening but when all clients and the server had done what Elliotc26 said we ran a stable PG multiplayer mission for a couple of hours we only stopped because people logged off.

Thoroughly enjoy listening to you work guys. I appreciate the effort you go to.

Appreciate the effort that goes in to the coding and the video updates. Cheers

Streakeagle. I fully support your suggestion. Every module SHOULD NOT COME OUT OF BETA until every mouse click spot is available as a joystick control map. These are simple lines of code as you have demonstrated not involving a great deal of time on behalf of the developers. (my opinion here I am not a coder) I have pre bought every module to support the devs. I believe they deserve fair reward for their effort but they let us down by not including these lines of code in the release versions. The issue of the Master Caution has been well reported in these forums many times now and, as yet it is not included in the latest beta release. I really hope things change in the future.

Hey RagnaDar, I know you guys must be pretty busy but is there any progress yet? The current beta still has missing key bindings. These seem the be relatively simple fixes not very time consuming and big on making the module more complete. Regards

Great invite Oh-Zee. Unfortunately I am in the UK so won't be joining you guys but hope all goes well.

Tremendous and what skills to get this far thanks for sharing.

For what it is worth I just search eBay.

Hi RagnaDa and Holton181, Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes RagnaDa there are some keybindings still missing or not complete in my opinion: eg: look at the Master Caution (it cannot be assigned with out a mod) data cartridge insert the two toggle Weapon release mode switches All have click spots in the virtual cockpit but they cannot be assigned. (unless I am mistaken) These are missing from DCS Release 2.5.220785 and current DCS Beta I really think Holton's idea is a good one look at FunkyFrankies mod. He has done a great deal more on the subject and coded it. For what it is worth I have bought every DCS module and missing keybindings occur on most of them in one form or another. I tend to buy them at release to support and encourage developers and wait until the module matures before getting down to setting up my pit and learning the aircraft. I have only recently got round to the Viggen and find it really interesting and fascinating. RagnaDa you and your colleagues have done a great job and I appreciate your ongoing support.

For those of us that are pit builders is there going to be some progress on some of the missing key bindings? From simple missing ones like 'insert data cartridge' to odd ones like 'Reset Master Caution' (odd because you can press 'v' on the key board but you cannot assign it to a switch. Yes I know I can use FunkyFrankies mod and I do, it is excellent yet every little update wipes them out. It is a great mod. Surely the point is that as a module matures these missing key bindings should be a thing of the past. If you can click it then it should be assignable. I cannot even imagine the lines and hours of coding that go into such a module and I congratulate the coders in the team for getting the Viggen into DCS. I just would like to know that this will happen at some point in the future. Regards

Thanks for sharing that. It looks great. I particularly liked your journey.

Skyracer. A Click spot is a place in the virtual cockpit where if you click your mouse to has an effect. In this case you click a spot and the mirrors turn on or off. Like beppe said other modules have them. If you fly in VR it is essential.
-
Is there a click spot for the mirrors?
-
Yes I agree. It is difficult to find, in the heat of battle, the clickable sweet spot with no tactile feed back no matter how good you are. (sorry I am) Track IR movement and taking my hand off the HOTAS to find and move the mouse is sometimes difficult. In my experience the best modules allow for a key bindings to be exported to a physical switch. eg: a rotating switch could be exported to rotate left and rotate right. Also in my experience the best developers get round to responding to such requests for key binding as the module matures.

We can only hope that they get the fires under control in Greece and everywhere else. All countries of the world should come together to help each other in times like this. The loss of life is tragic let's hope no one else dies. My thoughts are with those suffering.

Throttles moving Rudder pedals?
Trubshaw replied to Shack's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This tends to happen with any new module you download. The problem is that multiple axis binding are assigned to all your USB controllers by default. (in simple terms all usb controllers work all the main flight surfaces) Goto your axis settings in controls clear each controller and re assign them. Videos like this will help you. -
I think it makes sense to me. The Harrier is the same. The tyres have burst this sinks and makes the air frame a bit lower. Burst tyre graphic not shown but the relative lower position of the airframe is. We will have to wait until they finish the coding.

Thanks watched it many time but it is never that simple for me.

When creating a new waypoint I get stuck. After entering the Northing. The moving map display goes black. As seen in the video. However, and I have tried many times, I never seem to be able to enter the Easting. I type them in and they do not transfer to the waypoint. I end up stuck with a black map. A Northing entered but and Easting of 00000000. It is as though the UFC is over ridden by the moving map slew. Any ideas guys....Thanks
