Happened to me yesterday. I sent them a copy of the e mail from PayPal proving that I had paid. They sorted it in hours.
-
Ordered Mig 21 last night. Payment was processed but my DCS order section said it was waiting for payment. So logged a 'ticket' at 22:54 last night. It was picked up at 6am this morning and sorted...I now have my serial number. Thanks again.
-
Yes it is a waiting games but the modules are well worth the 40$. The Dora is quite mature in development now and members of my squadron speak highly of it. Up to DCS standard.

Snako......if you did sink money into it then you could well be entitled to some aircraft... look below.. as you can see I put 40$ into it and I can have 2 aircraft and the scenery when it comes out. DCS: WWII Backer Rewards Backer: Trubshaw Pledge Amount: $40,00 Rewards Bronze Backer credit in manuals Two aircraft of choice, beta access, and print-ready PDF manuals Normandy Map Planes Aircraft Serial numbers P-47D-30 Spitfire Mk IX Bf.109K-4 Me.262A-1 FW.190D-9 P-51D This is a copy and paste from my DCS login page.

A great in depth podcast of the simulated world that I really enjoy. Really good work Dojo you seem to be filling a gap in the DCS World. Such good quality so far I wonder how the heck you can keep it up. Episode 3 with the discussion with Pman was a great, honest in site into what being a DCS developer is all about. VEAO has been really good at keeping the community informed about the issues they have had with the Hawk and this podcast show just what enthusiasts they are. Some good questions from the community as well. I wish VEAO and the 476th all the best for the future. Keep up the good work and thanks so much for sharing.

Great idea Dojo. Just subscribed and you guys are now on my ipod...and in my head! Thanks for podcasts

I used to build PCs with that chip many years ago. The guys at DCS wouldn't just make that start up sequence up ...would they? One reason why they simulate older planes is because they have greater access to them and the performance data. So my guess is that somewhere down the line they sat in a KA 50 cockpit and watched it start up.. noting every little detail they could in order to write the Blackshark code. My conclusion is that there is an intel chip in the Blackshark but I is only a reasoned guess. So good question StrongHarm. How did it get there? ...who at DCS worked on the Blackshark code?

Well my problem is that ...as I get older...and DCS has more modules...I cannot remember all the key presses. I have a 'hacked' Saitek Switch panel, connected to a Lea Bodnar board so I can assign each switch. Yes I know recently 'Raf' and others have done a software fix for this panel and fantastic work it is too! I just wish Saitek would give them some cash to sort out all their flightsim addons panels. So I have simply designed an Excel document that allows me to put physical overlay on the switch panel so that I can remember what each switch does. Simply assign each switch, print it out, cut out the space with a craft knife. I then laminate the paper to give it strength. Does anybody was a copy? It should work in OpenOffice etc.

"Spring Tension" Campaign - A piece of art !Trubshaw replied to WolfK33's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight Agreed I too used the campaign to improve my skills flying the Mil 8. Some real thought gone into the missions.

Upgraded PIT for FC3 (and other sims)Trubshaw replied to OverDhill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software Looks like a really neat set up and very immersive. I too have tried to have templates to change from one plane to another. However I use a Saitek switch panel and Thrustmaster MFDs. Well done and thanks for sharing.

How do I color match monitorsTrubshaw replied to Gladman's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software I also have three 27inch monitors. But mine are not flat against a wall, they are built into a corner so one I view direct ie 90 degrees, directly in front of me, the other two are at a 45 degree angle to give me peripheral vision. (does that make sense?) Any road up...the point I am making is that if you view them from a slightly different angle the colour saturation and brightness appear slightly different. So I compensate by playing with the monitor levels to make them appear the same.

Have you seen this mission? I have flown it and enjoyed the challenge. It is not my work it was uploaded some time ago by Mudspike & Pixel496 General Helicopter Operations This mission is an open freeflight MP scenario, works for SP too. The focus is on civilian operations. For the scenery I chose Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk. with 10 UH-1H & 6 Mi-8MTV2. Playerscore For completing tasks you get payed. With F10 you can see the players results. Your saldo is saved during the mission. If you disconnect and return at a later stage your saldo will still be there. Pickup passengers They flare if they see you. Land or hover close to a passenger and they will embark. You can pickup max. 3 passengers at at a time then bring them to heliport Madrid. There are 14 pickup locations. Cargo transport Cargo is of random weight and need to be delivered at the big hanger on either airport. Stay with your cargo untill rewarded. Cargo from farther pays better. There are 18 slingload locations Find stolen vehicles They have an ARC FM beacon and spawn random on the map. Follow them closely to get your reward. Meeting point From here you can organize a group flight (or fly solo) and you receive a bonus if you fly from the meeting point to Krymsk. All objects are spawned by the script and deleted when no longer needed. All should syncronize properly online but works in single player aswell. forum thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=125858 The mission is made with one initialization script, a few triggerMarkers and a few helicopters placed with the ED mission editor. If you like to make your own scenario it is supposed to be easy and self explanatory. I've added the script and a tutorial for DIY

Thanks Fri13 Some points I had was not aware of.

Thanks for that kanami314..that makes good sense.
-
Thanks for your collective wisdom guys..... I guess I will get it from the DCS site after all. Cheers

I want to buy the MIG to support DCS and it's Third parties. But according to what I can see from the DCS website you pay $49.99, yet on Steam it is £26.99? Why would you buy from the DCS website when it is so much cheaper on Steam? ..any thoughts?

Great work so far. A real addition. Let's hope somebody has the knowledge to help you. Thanks for sharing...keep us posted

The tactile pit as opposed to the holy grail of the Rift is an interesting debate. On the one hand you have 3D visuals with no real visual connection to the real world controls. The other hand has the real world pit with switches MFDs for you to physically feel. Who knows... but it will come down to personal preference IMHO. Good luck Nescafe. But I suggest you have a good look at all the excellent work in the Home Cockpit section....and ask Wardie to have a go with his Oculus Rift before spending your money. Good luck

Good progress TinTin...but will it turn you into an AWESOME pilot? :)
-
Yes it is tricky...but isn't that all part of the learning curve of a complex sim? If you want simple nose wheel steering then FC3 craft have a simple learning curve. Me? I am just about getting to grips with nose wheel steering and the Sabre after about 1hour flying time. What about the DCS testers? have you mastered it? and if so how long did it take? But the Sabre is a great addition to DCS in my opinion.

Good example of a Coop between the Huey and the Blackshark. I enjoyed watching you and CQD. The system for recording is very clear. Audio just right and steady, stable video. Keep up the good work.

From my experience. (Shrek Squad fly multiplayer many times a week) MP was very unstable a few versions ago but ED and the testers have managed to sort a lot of issues out. We rarely have problems now. Issues did occur with some scripts and if a member joined with a low ping. Now apart for a micro stutter when some people join later in the mission and the FPS hit with some gun runs we rarely have serious problems.

3rd Shrek Squadron Annual Swamp Meet and BBQ 2014Trubshaw replied to Trubshaw's topic in Squadron News Thanks guys....I would encourage all who enjoy this fantastic hobby to get together with like minded people.

Another eventful year in the DCS World and Shrek Squadron. Has resulted in a reasonably stable multiplayer 1.28 and a reasonable stable Orge! As is customary day 1 saw us at a museum, this year RNAS Yeovilton and day 2, the BBQ itself. His Orgeness himself hosted Shrek Squadron’s event of the year that has now grown to include active flying members, inactive members friends and family. This year several first timers at the swamp meet. Hawk, Wardie, Symie & Fretless. We only knew them as familiar voices in our heads but they turn out to be real and just as enthusiastic about flight as we are. Turns out Symie, on his best behaviour can even hold a conversation without belching! A special mention to Mrs Dragon for being the only female and for the excellent fruit salad! Founder members Dragon and Balrog joined us again, TinTin, BigNewy, BeeKay and Trubshaw were ever present. TinTin coming over from Holland on his motor bike this year. Apologies were offered from Catz, Nebs and Carsten. Unofficial prize giving saw Hawk and Trubs getting mugs, cheers Tin Tin. However, Symie stole the show with a ‘no parking’ sign for Hawk, an ‘Awesome" T Shirt for BigNewy and a ‘Drama Queen’ award for Wardie. Ogre’s swamp was looking particularly good and the BBQ was the best since time began with fish dishes that Rick Stein would be proud of! Food and drink flowed well into the night amid tales of online coop flying with the squadron with the biggest laughs for, "well what do you want an e-mail?" and "SAM going Hi!" Just when we were flagging along came Balrog’s curry and sticky rice…quality. The final session of the evening in the wee small hours saw us retire to Ogre’s ‘executive shed’ for coffee before wending our way back to our beds. Active Shrek Squadron Members at the BBQ Back Row: BigNewy, BeeKay, Wardie, Hawk, TinTin, Symie and Trubshaw Front Row : Fretless & Orgeman A very special thanks to Mr & Mrs Ogre for opening up their home and making such an international group of reprobates feel so welcome. Lets hope we will be flying in The Edge Engine for the next BBQ.
