No need for expensive SEAD missiles. S13 is the answer.
Just did a mission in which I had to attack an enemy camp (lots of vehicles concentrated on one spot).
So I took 30 S-13 rockets and fired them in salvo's at enemy positions from a distance of 2 - 2.5 nm. I then dived behind the ridge in front of me to dodge the missiles that were fired at me during the short time out of cover.
Result:
A dead Sa-15 and a Sa-13. A total of 39 vehicles killed (most of them exploded and damaged the next vehicle as I was receiving kills for several minutes after the attack). 30 of these kills were because of a salvo of 10 S-13 rockets. Maybe these things are slightly overpowered?
So goodbye KH-58 and KH-25MPU. If there is cover available you just need S13 rockets
One thing I have to tell all new Su-25 Pilots:
Allow your HSI to align for 2-3 minutes (Turn on electrical system) before you start rolling.
It's an undocumented feature. If you don't do the above you will notice incorrect HSI readings.
Good. It has become my favourite airplane. It is much more interesting flying than the A10C. You'll have to create your SA by looking outside rather than using datalink, TGP, markpoints etc...
Yes + AFM.
Also note that it is not a Battlefield or Call of Duty game where personal kill/death ratio's and stats turn normal people into arrogant and selfish monsters...
You shouldn't care so much about who is credited with the kill anyway... Just that he is no longer a threat to anyone of your team.
So this is the AGM-65 kill I was talking about
AT that moment I was right behind him with an AIM-9 lock and was surprised to see him in flames.
Then... :lol::megalol::lol::megalol:
I still have this moment captured in a Tacview track :)
Nice!
I remember OctupleFire from shooting down a Su-33 with a Maverick two days ago!
The Su-33 was having a hard time with the A10's. On his previous attempt I hit him with a sidewinder. It didn't kill him but he was RTB at least.
But OctupleFire really put the man in his place with that maverick :megalol:
This also happens if the host sets a path. All clients disconnect except the host.
This issue NEEDS to be adresses because it renders Combined Arms useless in multiplayer. That's a shame because combined arms is a real multiplayer module!
In the campaign I'm designing (A Huey, later Mi-8 campaign) I give credit for damaging vehicles to a certain % of health. I use triggers to make the unit respond to the damage (like stopping / AI off etc.)
Indeed, Wags. I hear the sound I've been missing for over a year in your A10A promotion video. But it's not in our version of the software yet! Please tell me that this is an internal build and that the HEI rounds' explosion sound will return with DCS 1.2.6!
Fix points. If you are close to them, EKRAN displays the message 'perform nav pos fix'. Then you select the fix point and you find the fix point either with shkval or by overflying the point (depends on inu fix taking method switch below PVI-800). Press the uncage shkval/designate button once to perform the update and the fix point selection light on the PVI-800 light will automaticly turn off.
Sorry for off-topic :P
