  1. Indeed Seikdel. Personally I find not being able to repair my HUD the most annoying one. I often receive some of the ridiculously accurate small-arms/LMG/HMG fire while I do rocket runs and more than often is my HUD the first victim...
  2. ^ Congratulations! You just won a positive rep! :megalol::lol:
  3. Epic! 51st?
  4. Absolutely stunning!
  5. The ambient sounds are a surprise. Very nice!
  6. Great to see how everyone shares the joy of friday Wagdates!
  7. One of the following: - Focke-Wulf - Su-27, F-15 - 1.2.6 - How much they've helped BST... - How the new IG/EDGE is coming along - Nothing
  8. Why do some people have a problem with an overly enthusiastic community? Pos rep from me too  edit: post 1000:D
  9. The Mi-8 is approaching the final stages of development so there is enough to tease about. If updates for the Mig-21 are interesting, how could the almost beta DCS: Mi-8 require an automated script for updates? I think it's important for a developer to let potential buyers know what is going on behind the scenes. Look at how games these days are promoted long before they will be released. A good example is Rome II Total War, which owes much of it's support and pre-orders to the many preview and behind-the-scenes video's. I don't understand why some people on these forums consider newsflashes, screenshot updates as not necessary. You should think of it as an investment for BST. One that will pay for itself after release or during pre-order.
  10. The 'let us ask nothing and let them do their job' argument is invalid imo. Do you seriously think that collecting some screenshots and writing down a few lines about the progress they've made is going to slow down the development process? In theory yes, but it is not significant and the happy, well informed community is well worth it. News updates also attract attention as people share these things on other forums and facebook. If every update would at least attract one potential customer it would be already be a great investment [the time to write an update]. But seriously, saying that it is not worth it because it slows down development is like saying that I'm always looking in the past because light reflected from the object I'm looking at travels at 30000km/s and thus needs some time to get to my eyes.
  11. Standby reticle. In case your main fails. edit: See above. already answered
  12. Communication with the community is not one of their strong points. Look at the newsflashes from Studio Beczl. Some behind the scenes screenshots to tease and just to let you know they're working on it would be nice to see from BST...
  13. Your optimism is inspiring...
  14. ^ Different exhaust on that slick version of the Huey?
  15. The Mig-21, now with it's AFM approaching Beta already outclasses every single FC3 aircraft.
  16. Lowering the glass is usefull for CCIP and CCRP bombing as you can see your reticle sooner. It is also usefull for long range unguided rocket or guided missile delivery!
  17. Ahhh I found 'the' post. Thank you! Looks promising!
  18. Is that something I've missed? I know about RRG Studios but nothing about them going to announce anything for DCS next sunday...
  19. Almost got a heart attack when I saw your name as last poster here. My mind is so focused on the Mig-21... Mig21Mig21Mig21Mig21 O yes, and Mi-8. DCS the money pit.
  20. Standby reticle, yes. It is not very usefull as you can not enter any settings. If you download the mig-21 flight manual you can find some more info on this type of reticle.
  21. Good, but there is no additional procedure needed for firing the Kh-25ML. laser will designate the target automaticly. You will have to use the switch if you want to laser paint a target for a friend.
  22. I have V3.5.0 Has there been any major change that makes it worth printing again (except for the changes mentioned in the first post)?
  23. Something in multiplayer, can't remember. I'll make a track, see if I can do it again... EDIT: In this track I destroy the Patriot and the Hawk (search) radar. Also one Avenger and multiple Patriot launchers... On the third run I get myself killed by making the same mistake as I did last time. Outside view and not watching my radar altimeter. You really need to be below 10 meters if you don't want to get hit by those Stingers. So stay inside your cockpit and watch that radar altimeter. It is your one and only effective countermeasure. I placed the units according to that multiplayer mission. Su-25 SEAD.trk
