I find mSAA4 to be very jaggy after the last patches....I mean anti-aliasing seems to be "off" even if its set at 4x.... Will try again SSAA 1.5.....

I mean that the trackir stutter seems to be gsync related, but its not very clear what's causing this issue. :)

i was replying to the OP, as he wants same menu as win7 then you have to use classic shell software , otherwise you'd get the crappy-style win 10 tabletish looking. :thumbup:

Guys a quick quetion which maybe has been cleared out but when I switch the anti-ice ON , the advsisory disappears but after a few minutes I got another message : HEAT L - HEAT R...something like that

HI mate, for me keeping vsync ON in nvidia panell and OFF in game options + Gsync ON , looks a bit smoother than having vsync OFF ( in NVCP) . Also keeping Gsync on is imho mandatory, without gsync on even at 60fps trackir seems a bit jerky. But as you are using gsync , vsync also should be always on (according to blurbuster forum). :thumbup:

I really dont understand why ED has not included all of these equipment by default in the new caucasus 2.5. The actual airports and infrastructures in the cauacasus are pretty empty.

there is another thread in this section (too lazy yo search it) where a guy with a 6800k had to disable inter turbo boost 3.0 and change cpu affinity yo use all cores.. that's the problem, the 6800k is absolutely no cpu bottleneck.

well well search for other another thread, be sure intel turbo boost 3.0 is disabled if you installed it, and also check cpu affinity which seems to be messed up on that cpu .

exactly, you can keep the refresh rate even at 240 , but limit the fps via rivaturner at 60 fps. Do not use the ingame confi graphics.lua to limit the fps at it doesnt work properly.

with latencymon latest version 6.72 it always show HPF on my end even tough I have 32gb of ram, even by putting 100gb as pagefile it always shows hardpage fault.

trackir works smoothly only at 60 fps, 120 fps or hihger. Any value between 60 fps and 120 fps generates shimmering, stuttery,jittery. As dcs 1.5 was not so hardware demanding at it is 2.5 , probably you did not notice this issue becuase of higher achievable fps in dcs 1.5 Now with 2.5 the only solution to avoid stuttering in game when using trackir is limiting the fps at 60 (via msi riva turner or nvidia inspector) . Trackir runs in OPENGL, dcs RUNS in D3D, there is probably interference between the 2 rednering methods. Natural point is not uprading their software since 2016, in the meantime we had dozenz of win 10 versions during the last 2 years and despit this natural point is not gving a shit about uprading their software. dude, be sure you properly setup you NVCP pannel. first be sure GPU max performance mode is enabled in NVCP, be also sure windows power plana is set to "maximum performance" as well. as for reboots fixing this issue, it may be related to win 10 WDM 2.4 issues which will be fixed with next FCU update 1809 coming this october. Also pls post your full sepcs as well as what win version are you running, which built?'

to completely cleanup trackir profiles you have to go do appdata folder which is hidden by default and delete it completely. As for binding zoom in and out you are not supposed to use trackir Z axis, but rather bind a button on your throttle or joystick and bind "slow zoom in-out". z-axis on track is already binded by default in DCS , it is supposed for zooming purpose inside the cockpit or to get closer to the HUD, it's not suppoed to be bind for max zooming .

I've also changed my sound card soundblaster zx to MSI mode, so far no problems.

where have you seend 1080ti prices dropping? they are inreasing again.....at least on amazon....

its nonsense runnin OS on SSD and the game on HDD....on modern systems nowadays both OS and games run on SSD...

HI, thanks for sharing, well the same usual "trackir " stuttering when panning around is stilll present, and the fps of a 1080ti compared to a 2080ti are IDENTICAL.... There ie ZERO performance gain from a 1080ti to a 2080ti at least in 2D@2K resolution.
