Nvidia RTX cards and DCS - ?
Goa replied to 0414 Wee Neal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
it was insasne since the begining ordering a piece of hadrware without real world benchamark... this generation will be a flop, performance increase is about 20-30% at 2k 1440p resolutuon and almost 0% gain performance in 4k......I've seen the benchamrks on youtube and the rtx2080ti is very disappoiting for double the price of a 1080ti,..... -
Can we have some info on the new weather system development?
Goa replied to Ala12Rv-watermanpc's topic in DCS Core Wish List
rather than weather I hope we're going to see some realistic clouds and of course wheather effects, this sim is getting more and more realistic and this is the right path :) -

hi mate, would you mid sharing the proper procedure to change the graphic card to MSI mod? it's a bit complicated, additionally according to the forumm pci-express cards are already running in MSI b default rather than IRQ

you better wait for 9th gen intel series coming in the next couple of weeks, along with a z390....as for the ssd, nvme2 is the best out there :)

usually upgrades are not to huge between one version or another, well sure internet speed is a decisive factor of choice.

dude there is no need to have 2 separate installations, just download open beta or stable, and via a simple comand you can simply switch from stable to beta , or viceversa at anytime within a few minutes. And I am happy with the BETA because I have the possibility to try all the new devs, all the new updates etc instead of having to wait for months for a "stable". I dont care about stable, the open-beta is indeed "stable", I've never had problems with the open-beta exepct in very rare occasions, peformance of beta and stable on my end are equal. As DCS is a project in costant evolution we're lucky to have an open-beta version:smilewink:

High end PC case & Motherboard... Recommendations?
Goa replied to Novac-185th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
hi, I have no problems for ram, you can easily adjust the fan height on the cooler body , in my case the ram are of course covered by the fan but that's not a problem, the heatsink on the NH-D15 is specifically designed to not interfere with ram slots. No issues with regards to the graphic card slot, i also have space to put my sounblaster zxr on the pci-1x slot as well. As for the NH.D15 itself, just look at the benchmarks on speciliazed websites and you will see that it's still better than most of the AIO liquid cooler. On my end with a 8700k@5.0 ghz 1.32vcore , under stress while gaming I have max temps of 55°-60°C, in idle temps remain at abt 30-32 C°. -

Nvidia RTX cards and DCS - ?
Goa replied to 0414 Wee Neal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
just my 2 cents: 2080x series will be a big failure which will teach nvidia a good lesson, at least I hope, paying 1400 euro for 30% increase in perofmance compared to a 1080TI is a theft!!! the 1080ti cost 799 euro at Its launch, now the 2080ti costs 1500 euro..... that's a + 6000/700 euro .... I really hope amd will fu***g wake up and produce 7nm navi gpu....... -

Top tier - best world VRM : Asrock z370 taichi - Asus maximum X code and HERO, - MSI z370 godlike . Best value for price : Asrock z370 taichi The taichi has no rgb "crap" appart from a small rgb light which can be turned off, it is a super-solid motherboard, easy as hell to overclock, I myself running a 8700k @5.ghz , the ram can be overclclocked at 4266 mhz and it has one of the best VRM capablity along with 12 overclock phases, it has the best value/money ratio. Best 2018 case : Fractal design R6 ( there is a no glass-side panel which cost even less,) -
it would be nice to start the game, by simply walking and entering into the aircraft, as well as having the possibility to exit wiithout needing to eject.....i think it's quite simple for ED to achieve it.

You have no choice : buy them both :D

Solved: New Computer, Horrible Performance
Goa replied to StrongHarm's topic in Game Performance Bugs
yes it looks like the cpu affinity issue sometimes popup in between some dcs updates specifaiclly for some particular cpu's only like yours. You can also set up the cpu affinity manually from taskmanager or alternatively you can use processlasso which will set autoamtically the affinity for a specific application / .exe so you don't have to always change it manually. I also highly reccomend to change windows power plant to "maximum performance" instead of "balanced".
