  1. Crashed in SP again but no core was at 100%. I have tried cleaning out my fxo and metashader 2 folders already. I have not tried disabling the memory overclock (DOCP) yet The problems started when I updated to 2.9.12.5336.1 Events250210-1.zip
  2. Happens in SP too dcs.zip
  3. This has happened on two different servers. I did an update of my BIOS and ran that Windows Memory Diagnostic but it didn’t produce any result in the Event Viewer. Other games run fine. I haven’t been able to check DCS single player yet though. DCS is simply quitting to the desktop, not freezing or anything. I am wondering if these servers have updated to the most recent version of the game since that only included SP Campaign improvements. That could cause a crash I imagine.
  4. another crash on the same server dcs250209.log
  5. You may be experiencing a problem that’s inherent to the spotting dot system. At some size or range they’ll inevitably disappear causing the bandit to “vanish”. On a 32” 1440p screen you should easily be able to see targets without the dots. Try playing with them off and look at the actual 3D model instead.
  6. I think the camera might be too low when attached to the bottom of a screen. When you look up it’s possible that it could lose sight of the reflectors. But it’s certainly possible to make adjustments to the tracking. Why not just mount it to the top of the screen? I guess you are worried about it falling off.
  7. The idea of paid training for a video game is beyond ridiculous. There are so many groups or squadrons someone could join if they want some sort of feedback or interaction.
  8. Sorry but the idea of paying someone to teach you a DCS module is ludicrous I can’t believe there are people out there who ask to be paid for this When I got the A-10 module 12 years ago I knew completely nothing about aircraft at all. I read the manual on my iPhone and taught myself. Plus there are just tons of videos and tutorials out there. This is just a game too it’s not as if you’re training to be a real pilot or anything.
  9. You realize the idea behind the free trial is that you eventually buy the module, not just get a continually free game. If you want to get better at flying any of these the best way is to buy them.
  10. My It looks to me like the log contains a lot of game related items: 2025-02-07 00:50:05.760 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA (Main): Can't open model Ural-375_p_1. 2025-02-07 00:50:05.760 ERROR woCar (Main): can't load destroyed model 'Ural-375_p_1' for '1L13 EWR' 2025-02-07 00:50:05.787 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA (Main): Can't open model Ural-375_p_1. 2025-02-07 00:50:05.787 ERROR woCar (Main): can't load destroyed model 'Ural-375_p_1' for '55G6 EWR' 2025-02-07 00:50:05.801 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA (Main): Can't open model Ural-375_p_1. 2025-02-07 00:50:05.801 ERROR woCar (Main): can't load destroyed model 'Ural-375_p_1' for '1L13 EWR' 2025-02-07 00:50:05.817 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA (Main): Can't open model Ural-375_p_1. 2025-02-07 00:50:05.817 ERROR woCar (Main): can't load destroyed model 'Ural-375_p_1' for '55G6 EWR' 2025-02-07 00:50:05.832 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA (Main): Can't open model Ural-375_p_1. 2025-02-07 00:50:05.832 ERROR woCar (Main): can't load destroyed model 'Ural-375_p_1' for '55G6 EWR'
  11. Yes it’s very likely the increased resolution that’s causing the performance drop. If all other settings and such are unchanged.
  12. Two CTDs in multiplayer, logs attached DxDiag.zip
  13. Isn’t it amazing though what that much money bought you then compared to today. The idea that things are so much “more expensive” today needs to take into consideration how much more these things do and how many more people can have access to them. In 1984 only 8.2% of US households had a home computer vs 90% today.
  14. When I was in high school that was a $7,500 computer! Absolutely!
  15. Oh yeah good point. The software will reveal the light sources and your reflectors if you switch the setting to show those. They’ll appear as red blobs with NaturalPoint.
  16. You can get the TrackClip Pro which has LED lights and so isn’t affected by light sources https://www.trackir.com/accessories/
  17. Sure. Lots of us grew up in an era before computers and survived. Go out and get some exercise. Kids today are mostly obese from spending too much time with screens and devices. Think about the heath benefits from expensive graphics cards
  18. But nobody has to buy anything. Particularly luxury items like gaming PCs. Parents could buy their kids a PlayStation. Or a soccer ball. Whatever they can afford. You’re confusing wants with needs. A graphics card isn’t food or medical care.
  19. A kid doesn’t need a new PC. That’s a funny definition of poverty
  20. Does your testing reproduce anything like the statistics above? Those seem to reveal the problem quite clearly.
  21. In my logbook Hornet: Deaths 438 Ejections 42 = 9.5% M-2000C Deaths 102 Ejections 52 = 51% Big difference.
  22. Yeah I had this same problem using W10 with older games, it’s a real pain.
  23. This one is just amazing. And every so often it goes on sale for half this price. https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-48gq900-b-gaming-monitor
  24. Oh the humanity… But really the point is electronics were just as expensive back then but did far less for what you were paying. And that article was from 2016. That computer package would be $4,200 today. For a machine that just sent emails and surfed the primordial internet. For what you pay today computers do a lot more and are more accessible to everyone. If I wanna be all woke about the plight of the average person, the poorest individual today still owns a smart phone. Ponder that
