There would be no setback if you go for the 1440p monitor with your 3060ti. I changed my monitor from 1080p to 1440p early this year and the improvement in clarity and picture quality is really noticeable. I am using rtx 3070 with r5 5600 cpu and 32g ram. Your 3060ti is very close to my 3070 in performance. Fps get into the 100s in the air. 70-80fps on the ground/super carrier most times on medium-high graphic setrings in dcs. I gathered those that got the F-15E for $24 get to keep it at that price. I thought it was a software glitch on ED website which was later rectified because I saw the $24 and thought this has to be a mistake. Later when I tried again, website was down. Was that really a software issue or a kind of reward for the early birds? $24 is a big steal if that is true.

Does this equally mean I am not getting any miles if I purchase F-15E now? I do not want to use miles in pre-ordering the Eagle but at least give me my accrued miles.

Have you checked dcs option section for lens effect under systems? Set that to None and see if that helps.

An upgrade would be hard to tell at this time. Perhaps in the far future if public data and government restrictions are not in the way.

I had those choppy play just firing up dcs immediately after I updated the Nvidia driver to the latest. Restarted my pc and dcs ran smoothly. Perhaps something to do with the Nvidia drivers IMHO.

In the same vein, I want to throw in here my cpu upgrade plans here too and get your opinions if possible. Upgraded my gpu from a gtx 1060 6g to rtx 3070. I am still using my i5 7600k cpu. Upgrading to the amd 7000 series cpu is high in terms cost. Considering getting the Ryzen 5600 without the x as I have seen there is no huge difference between the x and non x cpu. I really like the amd long platform upgrade feature so I plan to get into that when the cost of upgrading to that platform becomes reasonable. Would the Ryzen 5600 be a big upgrade now? 5800x 3d with motherboard is still high for me now and beside that is the highest upgrade I can go on the am4 platform. I play in vr and I am expecting my 1440p monitor soon. Your thoughts please.

I have since moved from SteamVr to openxr toolkit for my VR interface. Cannot at this time test out those setting you are using. Performance-wise openxr is just the way to go for me versus steamvr.

Have vaicom but have not been using for a good while. Dcs radio menu does not work for me in the air for Apache. I can get the radio to work when on the ground. Most likely a dcs bug

I am kind of wondering if I am missing anything. The app has been working without any issue for a long time now. Great application by the way.

Mind sharing some of those tweaks? Just the basic. For me the Apache takes performance hit more than the F-18, F-16 or any of my modules. The F-14 Tomcat was giving me similar performance in the early days of release but it has since improved, Heatblur must have done some optimisation.

I have no idea how I have missed this all this time. I was just searching through samsung Odyssey headset forum leisurely and stumble on this. Best Quality has always been my default setting. Optimised for performace made the clarity and sharpness is so much better in openxr toolkit with no obvious performance hit.

I have come to notice this outside cockpit blurriness in vr has become more pronounced with each patch increment. Upgraded my gpu from a 1060 gtx to a rtx 3070 and I cannot get outside view to look better. Fps has improved for sure, still can't get distant objects to look a bit as good as cockpit view. Could be very wrong but I lean towards dcs graphic engine.

Virpil USA is a great one. Ordered a CM3 Throttle 2 weeks ago but shipping from their center in Europe I believe. It would be easier to get future products with the USA store.

Fantastic news I must say. Ef2000 map jumped into my thought the minute I saw today's newsletter. Ef2000 game was such a great game for me back then and with Heatflur/Truegrit Typhoon coming I am going to be reliving those sweets times in the closest map in dcs to that from DID. The developer are renowned for making world class terrain, so I very sure it is going to be an exciting experience in this map. This is surely going to put ED in yet another spotlight. Like others have mentioned, hope we do not have to wait too long (ironical and infamous 2 weeks-time) to get this map. I wish all parties involved the very best in this project.
