I don't think the patch is live yet.

It is sad that Newegg has been in the news arena recently for the wrong reasons. I have been watching their gpu combo sales for a long while now. Their prices seems the fairest among others beside microcenter. With all these negative vibes, I would have to be cautious now with plans with Newegg.

The difference is really difficult to explain in words. Your brains will explain better when you try vr. The sense of height, the feeling of being in the cockpit, surfing the lovely clouds, close to real dogfight experience. All these and much more cannot be put into words. It takes being there to see the difference. Might add that you might feel sick and nauseous for the first few days but it get better when your brain get accustomed to the experience.

I would say yes. Your system does pass for VR in DCS. Some like me are getting by with lower system specs. Of course there are trade off and some tweaking to do but the immersion is just too good. Little warning, you could hate to go back to 2d after trying vr. This happened to me.

I have been wanting to get the virpil CM3 throttle to combine with the thrustmaster warthog stick but concern for rudder control is been there. My present T1300m throttle has levers that I use for rudder control. This suggestion could very well work out nice for me with the virpil throttle.

Eagle Dynamic has a free to play project going on. You can download the F-16 and try for free for period of two weeks. This will help you decide if you want to have it add to your hangar in its current state. I am one of those that got the early access of the F-16 in it's barebone state and no regret then because I like the viper. That is me though. Quite understandable. Setting up controls is always a daunting exercise for me. Eagle dynamic did do a customized settings that should come by default for most of the popular hotas out there. I normally will build on that and change bindings according to my preference. Also you can go to Eagle dynamic website, check the user file section and under devices, you see a number of templates for different hotas that you can use to build yours. The system spec of the open post looks capable for a good experience in dcs. I see no reason for not getting the AH-64D module with your system. I am limping along with my i5 7600k, GTX 1060 6g , 32g ram, and dcs installed in m.2 drive in vr which is the way I prefer to fly dcs. It is not all that pretty graphically as I cannot afford to turn up many eye candies settings but I get by and immersion is key for me. With a mix of medium and high graphic settings, doing good in flat screen play. I think the Vulcan and multithread features would help address the micro stutters but we will never know to what extent until we actually get them.

I agree here. Performance has been going down the slow gradually but the last openbeta update induced a really big hit on my FPS. VR ( the only mode I want to fly all my flightsims) is a no fun for me now in dcs until I am able to somehow do some hardware upgrade. The fact that this fps hit is not replicated in all system make this very dodgy to deal with. I do hope the real issue is identified soon. Sent from my XQ-AT52 using Tapatalk

How do you get to leave the framer ate unlocked? In my case, I can only choose between 60hz and 90hz.

This crashes has been happening of late with critical error message. I have found that switching to the to release version of steamvr works. The beta version has some stability issues. Try using the release version of steamvr.

Yes, it is quite a complex issue how dcs works in background. My gtx 1060 6g is been doing just fine with Samsung odyssey plus for more than two years now on a medium to low settings. An upgrade is needed now and the 3060ti is in my radar as an upgrade.

I watched the video above recently and I am prompted to seek more clarification from fellows who know better here. The video clearly shows that the vram memory size readout in msi afterburner is not what is actually used in-game. I tried this in my msi afterburner settings and my dedicated vram was not getting to half my vram size in vr. Low res 0+ and 6g vram gpu. I hear gpus with 10g and bigger vram filling up in vr and I am like, what really is enough size for vram? Could this vram usage debunk video really have any relevance in explaining allocated and actual used vram?

I am really interested in knowing how the 6000 series of amd gpu are fairing in vr. I am currently swinging between 3060ti and 6700 xt but have read somewhere that amd gpu are not so good in vr compared to Nvidia. Some reprojection issue I think. The 12g vram is really pulling me to amd camp. Both cards are around same $849 that I have been monitoring for sometime now.

I want to believe you meant reasonable priced availability when you mentioned availability. These cards are actually available if you really want to buy but the prices are prohibitive. 2027 is a very long projection. It is interesting to see all this news about amd multichip gpu and Nvidia Lovelace planned for next year. Where would they get the silicon to produce all these gpu if the the world is short of production capacity.

Today's newsletter says the rotor mounted FCR will be available starting from early access. Would that be the dome shape mast on top of the rotor system. That is awesome news if that it is same thing.

The installation process is fairly straight forward. There are some helpful materials on the Simshaker website. The software comes with a generic settings for each aircraft and these setting you would need to tweak to your liking. You can equally watch a few guides on youtube on setting those level of vibration for your aircraft.
