sounds good (pun intended)
-
I tried that but the problem still persists. It won't do it the first time you fly. But I suspect it happens when you crash in a mission and then fly the C-101 again. Don't even think it has to be the same mission.
-
Actually, I've come across this sound issue too. And the sound can actually vary. For example, I played a mission in the C-101CC where I did a rocket attack. Then I played the mission again, and during takeoff, every time I hit a bump on the tarmac, it would make a rocket firing sound. Kinda funny. :) I'll try to reproduce. EDIT: Ya, seems to be happening in both release and open beta branches. Here's the simple test I did. 1. Start the C-101EB Caucasus take-off quick mission. 2. Take off from the runway and then crash your plane and end the mission. 3. Restart the mission. 4. Take off from the runway again and you should hear some odd sound (seems to vary) while rolling down the runway. If you don't hear a sound, try repeating the steps. Thanks.

The guy in the video even says it's fake so ... u trollin us?

One thing I'd like to see is the taxi/landing lights be more animated .. like on the C-101. Right now, they just pop into position. Tiny detail.

Actually, I have to correct myself slightly. When there's a main inverter failure and the backup inverter CB is pulled, the aircraft still thinks the backup inverter is operative so no systems go down. Only when you put the switch from main to backup do all the systems go down. The scenario where things behave as expected is when the backup inverter actually fails along with the main inverter. Question. When the inverter goes down, should the ADI still allowed to move? It seems to be. Thanks.

Another thing I like about the failures is that you can set them to go off really early (within a minute) so it gives you a reason to do your pre-flight checks. Even if you have the failures set to just 5% or something. That being said, I noticed a possible bug with the inverters. As a test, I pulled the backup inverter CB and then caused a main inverter failure mid-flight. This caused all the expected systems to turn off which is great including the ADI and HSI. After a few seconds of doing turns in the jet, I pushed the backup inverter CB back in. As expected, the systems came back on but the ADI and HSI seemed to instantly realign to the correct attitude and heading. Is this realistic? I can try to attach a track if you want. Thanks again for the updates.

Thanks for the updates, A.D. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4119108#post4119108

I am very happy they implemented it. And I just have a very simple joystick.

interesting that the quote is from SithSpawn and not Nineline. -
Gyroscope Platform AS-339, Gyroscopic System TARSYN 333, and the HSI.
kontiuka replied to Xoho's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
^ I'll try to answer a few of these ... Gyroscope Platform AS-339 Control Panel: 1.) Fast Erect Pushbutton - What does it do and when would it be used? - Even slight G forces cause the gyroscope-driven ADI to become misaligned. The Fast Erect function just places the ADI straight and level. So, you should be flying straight and level while performing this operation so that the ADI and your aircraft's attitude are in synch. 7.) Synchronizer and Heading Set knob - What does it do, how do I use it, and is it supposed to be extremely sensitive near center? (i.e. one click of the knob does very little until near the correct position, at which point it often makes a massive change in relation to the HSI indicator of the + and o, as well as the indicated heading, which often changes by over 30 degrees with just one click when near center) - Like the ADI, the HSI gets misaligned under G-forces. When the HSI is showing "O", turn the knob toward "O" until the "O" on the HSI moves off to the side and then recentre the knob. Do the reverse for "+". When you see equal parts "O" and "+" on the HSI, you have the correct magnetic reading. The HSI will actualy self correct after a while when in slaved mode (see below) but it takes a long time. Using the knob is a fast way to align it. 8.) Function Selector Switch - What do the various modes mean and when would they be used? - DG stands for "degaussed" meaning your HSI is not slaved to the earth's magnetic field surrounding your aircraft. This would be useful if you want the HSI to read true heading instead of magnetic. Slaved means that the HSI is slaved to the magnetic field and, so, it will read magnetic heading once it's aligned properly. Gyroscopic System TARSYN 333: 1.) Vertical Gyro Fast Erection - What does this switch do, when would I use it? - Same idea as for Fast Erect Pushbutton on AS-339. 2.) TARSYN Operation Selector - What does selecting the directional gyro accomplish compared to selecting the compass? What must be done to use either of these options correctly? -When it's set to compass, it means the HSI is slaved to the magnetic field. So, when the HSI is aligned, it should be reading magnetic heading and should be pretty close to your backup magnetic compass reading. When it is set to gyro, it is no longer slaved to the magnetic field. This would be useful if you want the HSI to read true heading instead of magnetic. Keep in mind that it can easily get misaligned under even mild G-forces. I think the rest of the functions you mentioned aren't modelled. -
The cockpit dimensions have gone through significant changes since then so I'm sure that old mod wouldn't work too well anymore.

oh, that's no fun :)

There are new safety guards on the control stick. One for weapon release. One for gun trigger. You'll have to assign key bindings to them. EDIT: The names of the key bindings should be something like … -Stores Release Guard -Trigger Safety Catch Oh, and you may have to rebind your actual trigger and stores release buttons.

you sure?

If you look closely at the S-200 SAM pics, it looks like you can see the new clouds in the background.

From the manual, p.48 … An acoustic warning can be heard in the headsets while trimming. When pulling the TONO TRIM (TRIM TONE) circuit breaker, this acoustic warning will be silenced and guards will not cut out airbrake and trim.

It's only in the C-101CC. Just click and hold on the big yellow handle beside the ADF radio and move your mouse upward.

Whenever you start a campaign, ED mails you a 2-4 of RedBull to get you through it. -
[Bug] [Solved] Some key commands not working as expected.
kontiuka replied to Rudel_chw's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
is that the way it behaves in the real aircraft? P.S. Thanks for the nice updates, AvioDev. -
