"Fixed" Fuel Delimiter Valve indication Logic Question
Charly_Owl posted a topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Hi everyone, Today's patch introduced a "fix" on the Fuel Delimiter Valve Indication. Now, when the Crossfeed (Fuel Delimiter/Separator) valve is set to OPEN (UP), the ISOLATING VALVE CLOSED annunciator illuminates... which seems kind of counter-intuitive, especially when compared to the Mi-8 which has a similar switch with similar functionality. Could @PilotMi8or anyone from Eagle Dynamics clarify why this logic change was made and explain what the light status logic and switch logic are? The logic currently implemented does not make sense to me (closed != open)... so maybe something got lost in translation. Maybe the light text is mistranslated? -
Because the developer who worked on them no longer exists.

So will I! I miss the days when the Vampire and Meteor were possibilities in DCS... one of my favorite eras in aviation. The G.91 brings me a bit closer.
-
I'll have to disagree with you on that one. The fact that a modern pilot sits in my Mustang has been bugging me since Day One... It feels really out of place when flying on WWII servers and you see every other pilot wearing era-appropriate attire.

Fear the Bones! - Campaign Info
Charly_Owl replied to Reflected's topic in F-14A Fear the Bones Campaign
Just bought the campaign, will try it out tonight. I really love these kind of old school campaigns, and knowing Reflected is behind it I rest assured that the quality is there. -
Don't worry, I'm working on it. I'll need a few weeks.

@kotor633 CCRP symbology updated and CM-802AKG logic corrected.

Despite all their shiny toys, Hornet drivers can't capture airfields or FARPs in Blue Flag... I see modules in terms of mission capability, not airquake potential. This is where the cool missions are at.

*** AI J-35 Draken AI coming to DCS World!! ***

Can't wait to see it! -
Paragraph and page? Couldn't find information that the pneumatic system is directly linked to the braking chute...
-
FYI that'll be fixed in the June 1st guide update... which is going to be a massive overhaul.

Odds are very, very unlikely I'm afraid. I just have too much stuff on my plate right now.

Oh so THAT why I had such different results online vs in single player! That's pretty annoying...

It isn't suitable for the DCS ecosystem because there is no realistic map to operate it from. However, Syria has shown us that the capabilities for a suitable map are there. It "just" (big quotation marks on that one) needs to be built. You, Dietrich, of all people, probably remember people tearing apart the very idea of "DCS WW2", stating that it had no place within DCS World. Storm of War has shown that given a proper map and a "coherent" plane set, it was possible. If a module operates in a featureless "void", of course, it is doomed to fail. However, I think there is a place for a proper B-17 simulation. I played the hell out of the Mighty Eighth back in the days, and I think there is a market for that. Missions don't have to last hours... but I regularly see sessions in multiplayer go for an hour at the least for a single mission.
