The vehicles where the green X's are located are very often the JTAC. You should learn to comm with them and enter the data. If you aren't ready for that yet then note the vehicles are often pointed towards where the enemy can be found.

Might not be a bad idea to leave alone. The reason is that without the feeling of vibrations through the seat Engine power etc isn't as obvious. The extra sounds make up some for the lack of other real world feedback.

Glad the op got things working. Sorry to piss him off but sometimes you have to bark to get past the tunnel vision we all get. For those still with the problem. When we say to lift the throttles we mean grab it and pull them up towards the ceiling until it stops. While holding them UP towards the ceiling pull back. They will travel quite a bit more. The light bulb will go off in your head when you first get it. It took me several months. Also they wont sync until they're back. If joining in air you'll have to experiment. I personally always cold start. The reason they don't move until set correctly is that the right throttle has to be in the Off position for the left engine to start. It has to do with APU bleed air. In the end it won't be how windows installs. As I noted before if your friend logs on, he or she will be able to get direct questions and a quicker solution. It's like a friend going to the doctor to complain about a problem for a Friend. If that's not possible and you can get in front of their computer. Run through it yourself to see if it works for you or have them go through the sequence to see if something is being missed. I used to think the same thing and had to fully cycle the throttle to full and then back to off every time I started. After a few months I finally took my time and found it wasn't being done totally correct. I no longer have the issue.

Just google DCS A-10c startup checklist and print one or 2 out. Until you get the hang of it ignore the indicator tests. Keep the list basic to battery, inverter, CDU, CDU Generator etc. Do the start-up, taxi to runway and quit and start over until you have it down. An empty multiplayer mission is a good place to practice since you don't have to set anything up. Good Luck. :thumbup:

AhSoul looking at this and your other thread I think you should download a checklist. It really will help and wont be needed for long before everything is second nature. Also the CDU starts when the APU is up to speed AND the APU generator is on.

First tell your "Friend" he should post here. Second I'd suggest he download a startup checklist which can be found on a search here. Also make sure the throttle has to be lifted and pulled back to get past the detent. It's the most common mistake.

Nah, when they added the Mi-8 they probably tipped over the edge of 32 bit memory capacity.

What if there isn't a 1.2.7. Maybe 1.3? I'd enjoy what you have now. ED seems to have slowed down some lately. Probably spread too thin.

Start world and select module manager. You'll find what you're looking for there.

I had a problem with them recently as well. Try selecting the profile before pickling.

Thanks I've been learning the Huey over the weekend and can now do the basics but need practice. Was wondering if the KA was as challenging.

Once you get generators and front panel switches thrown. Press and hold the Home key until the blades get up to speed.

How much different is it flying the KA-50 vs Huey.? I/E flight characteristics.
