Learn in air re-fueling. While you learn you'll find yourself formation flying with the tanker. If you don't want to re-fuel then just practice flying close to the tanker.

In the mean time take up refueling. Formation flying is learned naturaly the same time. :thumbup:

Absolutely, the point is how what percent are first timers that have never flown sims and could never possibly grasp a cockpit they were very familiar with simply because the platform actually moved? This is what some would lead you to believe. :thumbup:

I'm sure it's more than 1/10th. Learning to do basic maneuvers can be done on just a couple of lessons. In WWII Pilots often had very little flight time before being set out on their own in battle. 7G's would take some getting used to, maybe a trip to six flags riding the roller coasters for a day :music_whistling: People always make it sound like piloting is so impossible to the average simmer, when in fact every day people take their first flying lessons with absolutely no sim experience. The very low accident rate is proof. :pilotfly::joystick:

Only problem with CCIP mode is that in many missions there's always a manpad or AAA waiting for you to dip low enough. Especially in multi-player

You can also download the dragon mission pack and run your own server. If you want to run it alone just add a password.

Try growing a beard. It'll probably look like ZZ top before you get F15. I would just get FC3 for now. It has 3d cockpit but requires the purchase of lockon to activate.

I believe the head position mod was included a few patches ago as part of the game. I think you would be better off adjusting the sensitivity of the trackir.

For the slew control go into the axis assign section then click on Hotas slew Horizontal and vertical to verify the correct assignment. Then while in each one click on axis tune. Set your X and Y saturation to your liking. My X is set to 100 and Y set to 70 with deadzone of 14 and curvature of 15. Mine was originally set wayyy to low and it barely moved. Take your time and get it set up right. You'll be glad you did Good Luck

In multiplayer you can press esc and then click on pool at any time. There you will see all players stats for the mission as well as ping.

Re-install as usual but name the directory a little differently than the last install. That will ensure that it is a clean one.

One of the silent things happening is that the multiplayer crowd is slowly backing off. The crashes and bugs have been going on for a very long time and little has been done about it. They seem to fix it and within a couple of patches they break it. It's a shame but people will tend to migrate to what works. Edge will be worse IMO because it will be a new platform supported by the same programmers. I plan to hang in there but haven't been playing nearly as much lately.

I've had it happen when I forget to turn on the inverter after the battery. The first engine doesn't get to full idle and the 2nd sits and looks at you.

If you have a decent video card you'll probably be fine. The graphics of EDGE probably won't be any better than current first person shooters. Expect a lot of bugs to start as it will probably be the open beta that was mentioned a couple of months ago. I would also expect the current version will be active along side EDGE during the Beta period.

The only fast align I'm aware of is when the mission is set up with in air or hot on runway starts. In those cases it starts up aligned.

Hello Is it possible to change the waypoints on multiple aircraft at the same time? Example. I have 8 client A-10's, each has the same 6 waypoints. Is there a way to modify the locations and or add for each one? Thanks

While in multi-player hit esc and then click on pool. There you will see all players in the server including you. Your ping will also show.

Is the switch in the Down or up position?

Falcon Do you have the most recent version of SLMOD? (Build 61 or 62) version 7.1 If so go to \saved games\DCS\SLMOD\Slmodstats.lua Your info is in there Edit. The info doesn't spell out when the weapons were fired though :(

Is the hogofwar pit 1.2.6 compatible? A few mods stopped working correctly between 1.2.5 and 6

Also make sure the mavs have time to warm up. Takes 3 minutes.

I was actually going to add a thread asking if they increased it. I noticed that smoke and flames are much better and everything else in general. If so maybe because they don't have to worry about 32 bit anymore?
