  1. I recently watched an interview with a French pilot saying that (to his knowledge) there's never been a M2000 lost to G-lock, unlike F-16s... Credit where it's due.
  2. I can totally sympathise. I love the Mirage 2000 but the flying always felt a bit on rails. It's probably modelled super accurately, and the M2K is meant to have one of the best fly-by-wire controls of that generation (allegedly much better than the F-16), but sometimes you want to feel the air, and the F1 is perfect for it. You are in for a treat. She handles beautifully
  3. I completely missed this update. I just went for a quick flight on the F1BE and I was surprised to see that the repeater screen is now projected at the correct depth when playing in VR. It looks awesome. Thank you!
  4. On the Mirage 2000 is off by default. And you can turn it on and off with a key press. No harm done if you don't like it
  5. It can work if done right. The headless pilot body on the Mirage 2000 works really well.
  6. Bump! With all the new improvements to the engine it's surprising that the mirrors have been left untouched for years. Just make them like IL2. You can tweak performance by deciding how much they draw in terms of distance and content, and they are properly 3D, with different images per eye. Worth a try in VR if you've never seen them.
  7. I've found another video. This time is a Mirage 2000B, but it uses the same type of repeater HUD
  8. Bump This works really well in FS2020. I use it to make screenshots: Active pause > Switch VR off > Screengrab > Switch VR on > continue flying
  9. The Kneeboard images from Fzecc are priceless too. I even have them on my phone fot quick reference https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3333038/
  10. In VR the current mirrors are a 2D image rendered on the mirror surface, not a real-looking reflection with depth, slightly different per eye. Could we have mirrors like in IL2? Their mirrors are just perfect!
  11. Here is a video of the actual thing (5:00). Not the best quality, but you can see how the image, and in particular the HUD symbology, moves like it would do on a reflector gunsight. You can also see how the image is projected further back than in the game.
  12. The movement is actually correct. It's a reflection from the horizontal screen bellow into an angled mirror, just like a reflector gunsight. It shouldn't stay fixed on the glass like an LDC screen. It's actually a pretty realistic implementation. But there is a small problem nevertheless: The "reflection" is a disc floating in front of the mirror, but it should be drawn behind the mirror. Again, just like a reflector gunsight from WW2: the targeting circle is not drawn on the glass, it's projected behind the glass
  13. First of all, fantastic work. Absolutely loving it! Is there any way to see a pilot model on the other seat? Repeater HUD in VR. This is harder to explain, but in VR the reflection looks like a disc floating in front of the angled mirror. Could you push it back behind the mirror, so it feels more like a reflection? It's perfectly useable as it is, so not a major issue. It just feels a bit off, that's all Mil gracias!
  14. Good you mentioned the landing gear. I thought it was me!
  15. Awesome trailer indeed!
  16. My rudder was already at +35...
  17. Same here. I always disable the nose steering under the guard switch before take off. Which doesn't help on landings, as the differential braking is also super efficient and it's really easy to tip over one side of the nose, or, if not using the brakes, veer away from the runway as the rudder does nothing. Sweat inducing in any case! Will try the +25 curve on the rudder. Maybe that's a better solution...
  18. Thanks for the tip, T-Stoff. I mapped the up and down keys to the hat switch (SHIFT + HAT UP, and SHIFT + HAT DOWN) and it works pretty well. It's much faster to get to the rough number, and then it's pretty easy to just use the mouse to fine tune it.
  19. I'm doing a lot of navigation with the TACAN offset. It's an awesome system, but rotating the bearing selector takes forever if it's more than just a few degrees... Is there any way to speed it up? Thanks!
  20. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! I suspect there's something wrong going on. Almost impossible to control yaw after landing, and really easy to tip the nose once things start going wrong. I can't imagine an aircraft in service having such a demanding sweat-inducing behaviour...
  21. She flies beautifully after the update. Wobbles gone. Nice coordinated turns. Easy to trim. Thank you Aerges!
  22. Thank you Aerges! Habeis hecho un trabajo brutal! Enhorabuena! I love how she flies. The adverse yaw is quite noticeable, so properly coordinated turns are needed. And the handling with full flaps is excellent. Landings are a pleasure!
  23. Thank you!!! The numbers are totally unreadable in VR on the default cockpit. I have to constantly use the zoom...
  24. It's very good for me. As smooth as the M2000, and better than the MiG-21 (Running on RTX 3060)
  25. That sunshade tube is just awesome in VR
