  1. R-77 probably has that capability in real life as has built in datalink to recive command updates from the launching platform. I think the R-27R/ER can do that too, but the T/ET does not have datalink.
  2. Most important of all: What cooling solution do you have in the CPU? What are your ambient temps and CPU temps at stock clock? Your goal should be easy to achive and will give you a small FPS gain. Maybe 2-4FPS Average. I don't have the FX myself. I have the old PhenomIIX6 1100T clocked to 4Ghz. Been running it for years like that and it is still going strong. As for the overclocking itself, try to google for articles covering overclocking. Keywords that could be useful for searching: Piledriver, bulldozer, overclock, guide
  3. Russian doctrine is to fire two missiles at the same target. By using two different seekers at the same time, they make it harder for the target to defend itself.
  4. It's not a bad missile once you learn it's strong and weak points. Most importantly, it's semi active. I take it you already know that?
  5. Price is very justified with current content and AFM has been promised for a few more aircrafts so it's a great deal IMHO.
  6. No virtual pilots were hurt during the making of these screenshots:
  7. One day they will just drop the bomb and say: Here you go, DCS: F/A-18C pre purchase including open beta. I wish...
  8. Sure. Look for servers with the word aerobatic in the name! Some servers combine this and set certain areas on the map as no engagement zones.
  9. Imagine flying the JA37 in DCS and using the automatic cannon engagement where the autopilot is steering the plane to line up for a "guns kill". This is what a Viggen pilot thinks of the system:
  10. Is this autopilot as awsome as the one in the Ka-50?
  11. Yes, I can understand if people feel that way, and you are certainly not the only one. Me, I had a feeling there would be a summer sale when I bought it. It's not the first time ED has a sale. Next time, maybe I will wait but there is a few modules that excites me enough for me to buy them as soon as they are released.
  12. Thanks! I appreciate it, and hope that others will as well.
  13. Nice vid, but please write in the youtube title that it is a DCS movie so people don't have to click it thinking they are going to see a real life video. I hate when search results come up and it's mixed with real life and DCS movies.
  14. I see it this way: I bought it for full price to support the devs so that DCS can evolve into everything that we wish for.
  15. Maybe he meant Su-25 AFM ?
  16. That is the work of the "Automatic civilian protection and identification" or ACPI-system of the Maverick weapon system. Just kidding. There is no such thing
  17. I don't really get the complaints on the graphics. Sure, IG/EDGE will be awsome, but I'm happy with what we have at the moment. Try to fly BMS from time to time and suddenly DCS graphics looks awsome. Don't get me wrong, BMS is also a good sim but for other reasons.
  18. At the moment, yes. ED does not want that but it is an licence issue since the old LOMAC-days when Ubisoft were publishing LOMAC. ED is working on a solution wich involves splitting the FC3 aircrafts into seperate modules, but at the moment LOMAC is required.
  19. I have said it before and here it is again: J35 Draken and JA37/AJ37 Viggen for DCS! If I were able to I would make them myself, but I do not have the knowledge :( Edit: Some people are making a pretty nice Viggen for BMS :)
  20. Looks like they want to release it as a mod to FC3. Sounds nice
  21. They have already stepped it up a little. The Mi-8 is more advanced than the Huey
  22. Agree. That is a very small issue. It would be a shame if that kept you from buying.
  23. On the front page of the official website. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/ About the training. They did not bother to update the training missions to the current version of DCS so they posted them as videos instead. Find them here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/video/
  24. I find the russians very simple and easy to fly once you learn those symbols. In time, you will know what they mean. No I'm not speaking russian :)
  25. Well, I assume it is just a modified Su-25T flight model. It was ED's first AFM (FC1) it is very likely that improvements were made to the newer AFM's that the other modules use.
