Ever came to think of it that the new or unique methods of propulsion can be a simple Turboprop?

Yes the Dashes have an extra apu, but as you said, you CAN do it by the BAT ;) Try this in any Boeing and you lose :D

In many Airplanes, most of them with less then ~50 Pax the APU is NOT a Turbine, but the Battery itself. I is desgined to be able to give the Airplane its Power for a long enough time to start everything up.( for example Dash 8 ) I can imagine the Russians did the same with the Mig21. Dont get me wrong here, I love WW2 Planes, I flew Il2 since it started and now the BoS Version, but DCS just doesnt offer a good "feeling" for Visual Combat..YET, maybe. But for now, Radar is a must have OR you fly A2G(which many do) So the Visual Spotting needs to be improved and MAYBE this will be done with EDGE.

I bet the gear they showed us is from the P38...great another WW2 bird in a Sim where you cant see your enemy visualy..... Stick with the jets! IL2 is for WW2

yeah never, but the video I watched on youtube, pretty much showed everything in detail...I was a bit amazed what they actually showed :D So maaaybee :D But I bet, its just a Zero etc. WWII in DCS is the wrong way imho.

Its pretty realistic, sadly only the Mig15 has it. This sound is made by the blades of the turbine, since they are only completely fixed in position if they are spinning. So once the RPM is too slow, the blades can move a little litte bit, and thats the sound you hear. btw. this sound can be heard at any airport worldwide. Every plane makes that noise. Cheers HeTzeR

Without proper mulitplayer servers and missions, I dont see a use in ww2 planes and dogfighting. DCS is lacking a lot in MP. Everytime I go online, I see a few servers, mostly empty. The one which is always full is an aerobatic one...great. They need to change the MP imho....

I dont see DCS in WW2, thats an IL2 thing. So no WW2 birds for me in dcs, simply due to the lack of visibility. edit: Except Me262! I´d love that thing, or any multiengine plane.

I dont think they make a new map. I think we can choose which of the new maps we get free( NTTR, Strait of Homuz etc) Would make sence ;)
