  1. Prolly should discuss this elsewhere, but the store page for the F-4E clearly says External Flight Model: The F-15E states "Advanced" in terms of development, as a key feature, not to be confused with AFM/Advanced Flight Model.
  2. SFM, AFM, PFM are standards for ED Products. EFM is for 3rd Party *External* Products.
  3. Connector Tools, Select the Pylon Connector, Attach Model, Select the tank Model. once it's attached, click the scene drop down, click on the Tank model, open livery menu, select livery.
  4. if DCS World World comes soon, there's no need to expand anything.
  5. That same Microprose logo in their booth render, was Covered w/ GAFF tape during the event. So Pre-Mature assumptions that they have signed any contract are just that, assumptions. That being said, MP in 2024, is not MP from 2000, they are an entirely new company, that purchased the rights to use the name, and purchased Copyrights to several of the old MP games. They have the Rights to Sell and collect revenue for Falcon, that is all. Which is why they love and support BMS, because BMS generates a revenue stream for something that would other wise be nil. The Falcon Development IP (source code etc), was publicly released from bankruptcy escrow long ago, and does not belong to the current MP company. That being said, if F.50 was even in development, it's still in whiteboard phase, no actual code has even been written, and even then, until the core, physics, graphics engines are done, there's no point in signing 3rd party devs to work on projects, as they have no code base to generate an SDK for said 3rd party devs. So any sort of "contract" with MP, would still be years away, whether for *planned* Falcon 5.0 or the *Rumored* Strike Eagle Series, Speaking of F-15E Strike Eagle Series, the new MP does not own the Rights. *( they are still under Retroism iirc)
  6. Log show some values were able to be read (Country, Total Flt Time, Day Time, Night Time) The Modules showing as not installed is because the app module scan function was looking for the mt_manifests in the module's folders, which were removed. This is fixed internally. When it's ready, there's other items that were added that aren't available in public DCS Builds yet as well. My development / release schedule is not controlled or influenced by ED's release schedule..
  7. This is a UI threading issue that's been fixed and tested internally. The log is showing it's detecting the modules, *EDIT* This is because the module scan is looking for the MT_Manifests for each module, which have also been removed w/ the removal of ST/MT. This has also been fixed internally.
  8. Right now, if you're on the latest version, uncheck Mult-thread mode.
  9. Do I really have to ping a mod to clean out the last few pages? I made a public update / statement on things, it really didn't need to be discussed and analyzed. The situation is this: - I am working on the App when I have time, as always. - Public releases have to be timed, as I add things internally, way before they are ever in public DCS Builds, as the DCS Testers use the app as well. - I am aware of both the MT Launch issue and the threading issue, both are limited variable exceptions, and have been fixed internally. - I will release new/ general updates on things when I can, which is why I posted that update, without singling out any specific individuals on any community platform, but there really isn't a need to ping anyone *(whether it be me or any other devs for that matter) repeatedly w/ the same question, even if the situation was different, it would be harassing / annoying never the less. As I am a busy person, I don't always have time to respond to every forum PM, Profile Post, Discord Ping, Discord PM, Facebook Ping, Post, DM,. etc etc etc. - My update was to advise the public of the situation, to give an update and to ask politely not to ping repeatedly, not to open up my daily routine to analysis and opinions, and furthermore, discussing it back and forth, has the opposite effect of what I asked for, here specifically. So, that being said, I ask that everyone move on, There is no need to discuss it further, and there is no need for snarky, condescending, under the breath, one liner comments randomly in reply to someone else. That is All.
  10. It's not solved, I get notifications through nearly 2 dozen apps that are used for more than just DCS, I don't have the time to go through and mute DCS related things while leaving important things unmuted. The solution would be for users to be polite and simply do what I asked, which has pretty much been done already, so after I asked it became a non-issue, I don't see where the need to tell me how to setup my phone came from.
  11. If you're using ED's presets, then you have to edit each preset file, not 100% sure if it will read the line, but it should go in the preset lua's graphics table, \Saved Games\DCS\Config\OptionsPresets\CustomX.lua
  12. Janes was *FAR* from Full fidelity, and more Fake N Bake. If you want a confirmation, you can ask Wags, he worked with Jane's and is listed in the F/A-18 Credits. as for VRS, nevermind, I don't have anything positive to say, and if I want to be frank, outside of TacPack, if TacPack didnt exist for FSX/P3D, their Product would have never gotten the recognition it had received, there are 3 Super Hornets (1 by MS, 2 by 3rd Party) for FS'24, and they are all Fake N Bake Systems..
  13. options.lua, graphics = {, ["maxFPS"] = 72, }
  14. Just some notes: 1. I was never P'd. That was a blanket message and not directed at any specific individual, as it's hard to sit in a medical facility and in meetings *(in person and virtual), with discord or other social media apps constantly beeping in. *and before someone chimes in with turn your phone off in meetings, I have family in medical crisis, so no I will not be turning my phone off, as I will not miss any calls from the hospital, shrug.*. 2. I am aware of an issue w/ MT, as the launch command still uses an outdated parameter, which is also fixed internally and being tested locally, then tested in the testers group, before going public. The issue is that the dcs_mt_manifest file was depreciated a while ago, but remained as a remnant file in the folder, so the launch command was never updated, with a new install, that file isn't part of the download.
  15. Umm, yeah, prolly shouldn't discuss other sim's / forums shenanigans here.
  16. Pretty sure there are pre-requirements, you cant just email and be like I want all the Manuals for F/A-18C Lots 20 through 22 and they reply back with PDF Links.
  17. Boeing licensing doesn't have anything to do with me. But all Lot 20 manuals are available without restriction (except a few things.) The same cannot be said for the Super Hornet.
  18. Current temps of the GPU hotspot doesnt change the outcome. Lower temps just mean they fixed the TIM and Concaved Die issue causing the heat to not transfer to the heatsink. They still pull 300-400+ watts depending on the OC, the lower temps just mean that it is transferred to the Heatsink and blown into the system air or exhausted out the back more efficiently. I've seen users that run 2 gaming PC's in the same room w/ 4090s, when gaming, if the door is closed, room temp rises by 4-7° in the spring/fall, more in the summer when the air is already warm, and fighting the outside heat. There's also the issue of the 12VHPWR failures still.
  19. Just a quick update, and Apologies if it sounds a bit brash, there are external factors involved at the moment: - I Am working on adding a few under the hood things to the app. *( to further help w/ tracking issues ). - I Am also integrating a few things that aren't public yet. *( and Need time to test internally ). - I Am tracking the Thread issue, narrowed it down to the source and testing work arounds, if they don't yield results I am looking for then I'll revert the thread changes I integrated for the last public build. - I Have a few projects that are Higher Priority. ( As Stated Before in this thread and other media platforms ). - I Am also enduring a family medical crisis, which has taken up all free time at the moment, and greatly impacted personal things. *( The external factor mentioned above. ) - There is no need to repeat post on my profile, send me PMs, or Ping / Tag me etc. (whether here or other media platforms), repeatedly asking for updates, this is a hobby/free time project and not under any license or user agreements to which I owe any updates, material or verbal. Updates will be posted when I have updates to give.
  20. In the Summer, My PC's Exhaust is vented outside :-). Keeps the AC from constantly kicking on, In the Winter, My PC's Exhaust is vented into the room, and keeps it warmer in the fall/spring so I rarely run the heater. ( I grew up in Niagara Falls, 40-50 Degrees we get here in the winter is tank top weather for me.)
  21. and a nuclear reactor for power and a contained section of vacuum sub space to extract the heat to.
  22. Trying to use Explicit MGPU in Vulkan w/ an older GPU will not yield the benefits you think it will. - The Driver for that GPU Needs to Still Support the Version of Vulkan you are running on, I don't know about you, but my "old" GPUs are in long term support, and their last set of drivers still haven't added any recent Vulkan capability, AMD's Legacy Drivers for anything Pre RX 5xxx would not work correctly, if at all. - Mixed Explicit MGPU also does not directly share data, So if you run a AMD RX6900XT and a RTX 3080, then Vulkan MGPU will not put them in the same group, and thus, for every function requires a trip through the CPU to process and convert data, which causes latency and performance issues. Same for if you are Running a RX6900XT and a RX6800XT, if the GPUs do not Explicitly match, don't bother trying.
  23. Vulkan Dual GPU is not the same as Crossfire or SLi.
  24. So, to nix that urban legend. Launch DCS Load a Decent sized Mission, Note the FPS, Now Restart the Mission, Alt Tab out, and Tell your Virus Scanner to Scan the DCS Folder at the same time. The Assumption that Active Virus scans don't hit performance has already been proven false by EVERY YouTuber/OverClocker/Pro-Gamer. The RealTime Protection scans literally every file as it's being accessed, every item as it's being moved from one memory address to another, every running process, including 3rd party processes for addon UI things *(* ie HeatBlur modules), every incoming packet coming in from a MP Server,... eeevverrryyy thaaannngg. In smaller missions w/ less stuff being accessed, you might not notice the hit, but it's measurably there, in MP on the other hand, w/ large missions, the impact is real.
