  1. Very interesting! Hope ED will have a look at it and consider a change. Perhaps something for the wishlist then. Thank you for your work!
  2. I think the question was why there is a difference in the visibility of targets like trucks depending on the A-10c model you fly the mission with. Is that an intended change included with (and limited to) the A-10c II upgrade for realism?
  3. HOTAS Slew Horizontal on Axis JOY_X of the Throttle HOTAS Slew Vertical on Axis JOY_Y of the Throttle
  4. Custom Curve with the following values: 1 2 3 5 7 10 14 19 26 44 100 I use the Thrustmaster Warthog with Deltasim's Slewmod.
  5. Nevada Test and Training Range
  6. Thanks for the confirmation
  7. Switching the SOI and between MFCD pages should both be possible with short presses in an ideal world. The HOTAS needs more buttons, I guess :D
  8. Sooo, the patch tomorrow will include the A-10c II?
  9. +1
  10. Will the patch include the new A-10c II module?
  11. Great chart! But what's with China Hat Aft Long? It was discussed a lot here and as far as I understood its function is now "Slave TGP to SPI" (instead of STRP). For example: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=288128 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=287497 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4507647&postcount=9
  12. Change your SOIs 100x and it adds up. But no point in discussing that. If you're fine with that, great. I just wanted to share my feelings and they are as legitimate. I don't want it to be changed if it is that way in reality.
  13. While there might be no sound in real life, the pilot would still feel a successful release if I remember correctly. So regarding the limitations of a sim without that kind of force feedback, the drop sound was a very satisfying alternative.
  14. My main issue is that I change my SOI very often, so I want it to be as quick as possible. A long press takes forever. Everybody has different preferences, I guess... But the inconsistency between short press for HUD and long press for the MFCDs cannot be denied - whether you are fine with it or not.
  15. I almost never use the swap function und find it very annoying to use long presses to switch SOI between left and right MFD. Especially when switching between TGP and MAV. Furthermore it is inconsistent with the short press to make HUD SOI. I am cool with it if it is that way in reality, but it definitely is not the best solution.
  16. It is a little awkward, but if the real HOTAS works this way, I'm fine with this change. But can somebody explain why it would be this way? I used to slew my sensors all the time between STRP and SPI with China Hat Aft/Forward long which was very useful. Now you have the option to slew all sensors or only TGP to SPI, but not STRP - at least not in a direct manner. Seems much less useful to me and a little redundant, too like Oznerol256 mentioned.
  17. Didn't even tried it out yet, but yes, it's AWESOME. Thank you very, very much! Of course I bought it already.
  18. Still a little confused. According to he HOTAS command guide by bjwonsite: China Hat Aft Long - Slave TGP to SPI According to the A-10c II manual (see post #3 by marcoav): China Hat Aft Long - Slave TGP to STRP
  19. Markpoints being deleted simply by switching between modes sounds strange to me, too.
  20. +1 exactly!
  21. The trailer is awesome. So many great shots. And the choice of music is just perfect with "The Final Countdown".

    Saving setups

That would be great! Along with some other options like DSMS profiles for certain weapons, TGP options like Laser Latch, MFCD brightness, contrast, TAD slew speed, ...
  23. Hey guys, I'm not familiar with the release cycles on beta. What do you think will be the estimated time of arrival on stable? I know it depends on the amount of critical bugs of course, but regarding former experiences, are we talking about days, weeks or months? Just trying to decide whether it is recommendable to switch to beta or worth the wait. Thanks!
  24. Hello again! I would like to post another video showing a slew issue that I never noticed before the upgrade. However I am quite sure that it is NOT caused by Deltas mod and perhaps it might even be a feature for added realism. But still I wanted to show and ask for your opinion. The "problem" is a heavy stuttering when slewing slowly. It does not always occur. I guess it might depend on range or whatever. It is very noticeable when zoomed in. Very interesting: the stutter is completely gone when I switch to active pause -> instantly buttery smooth slewing. Switching back -> stutter. So perhaps this is simulating a behaviour of the real TGP which is deactivated during active pause? I don't know but it is quite annoying. Do you encounter the same stutters? Can you enlighten me whether it is a bug in the engine or a feature? Thank you very much and please excuse the shitty video with an annoying auto focus.
  25. Hello DCS-Community! I received my upgrade kit (order #1963) and it is great. Installation was no problem - easy and fast. The calibration even solved a minor issue I had with the INCR/DECR axis on the throttle (I use it for zooming and there were some positions on the axis where the zoom would jiggle back and forth - now gone, yippee). It takes no time to get used to the new control. It just feels natural und so much more precise. Some adjustments to the curvature in the axis tune panel in DCS settings to adjust it to your personal taste and that's it. In the Windows game controller menu, with the cursor of the the TAD and the TDC on the HUD I can draw perfect circles with the new slew control. However there is a minor issue with the TGP and I do not know wether it is caused by the slew upgrade or if it is just the way the TGP works: Whenever I move the slew stick in a circular motion there are some sweet spots where the TGP camera just stops moving either horizontally or vertically until further rotation of the stick or nearing it back to center position. It is difficult to describe so I recorded a video (see below, not listed). I never perceived this behavior with the old slew control (perhaps it was too shitty to notice it?). Again this only happens with the TGP, so the hardware (TM throttle & slew upgrade) is not broken and it is hardly a problem while using the TGP. But it still it bugs me a little... So my question would be wether this is normal? And if not, is there an idea for a solution? Thank you very much and greetings from Germany.
