  1. I blame the south pole penguins. You really need to provide more information than this to determine the cause and nature of the problems you guys are having. Provide steps and settings taken in an as condense story as possible with a technical approach. Beginning, plot, end. Also provide files that cause the problems and error logs. Without this information you can blame it on anything we can think of. All information you're looking for is already around in the sticky's and manual. When you really look into it, it's very likely possible you find the problem yourself. Also be aware that unintentional human error during standard procedure could play a part in one or more problems.
  2. Cool, this means i'm still on the right track. This sounds like a very quiet 'oldscool ftw'. :v:
  3. 1. Check disk: START > Computer > Right click HD > Property's > Tools > Error Checking 2. Use a wired connection when using wireless to reduce possibility of packetloss during downloading. Packetloss is also possible on a wire. A fluctuating download speed could be a sign. 3. Links. I think There's some code that needs to be implemented by ED. There already is a trigger for additional weight, although it's not finished or working. This feature might come very soon.
  5. So the Starfarce thing is more due to certain VM-ware limitations than something being wrong or bugged in DCS?
  6. I used to play allot more on multiplayer and even host missions on a server with TS. Right now i'm involved with other things. Right now i'm working on a couple of cool multiplayer missions again to host a server that involve aircraft currently being produced. Detailed full map missions and systems take allot of time to create though by triggering with many layers and 16 players with personal rules etc. They might be ready in time. Most likely when i have more time. Creating the 'good stuff' takes way more to create than a day. Personally i like the carrier ops the most at the moment. I guess with the F/A-18 coming most issues around them will be ironed out. That's what i'm really waiting for. I'm not a die-hard programmer myself, but i do know that fixing one thing can create 5 or way more extra problems hiding elsewhere totally unexpected. We'll see what happens.
  7. Thank you HiJack for some clarification on Sn0w_Lynx's issue. - Servman 3 Non Official now has a download for DCS 1.2.6.19532. - 'Need to know' contains the additional information: When the function 'squad_login_enable' is enabled and a registered 'local subadmins' is also a member of a registered squad, the sub-administrator must login as squad member first before as sub-administrator to obtain administrator rights as a squad member. - The original Servman logo has been uploaded to the Eagle Dynamics™ server for display and eternal preservation. The original location seems to be on the Photobucket™ website and might be deleted overtime by local account inactivity policy's.
  8. I did think about it, but didn't post it. Mainly because i'm not the writer of this plugin or want to nick it away for personal fame. Also out of respect for Panzertard's work etc. Unless you all tell me to stop bitching about it and i'll ad it to make it one and the same.
  9. That looks about right Sn0w. I'll run a test on a server here with remote client a bit later and see what happens for me. If you want you can delete the serverconfig with some personal details.
  10. Servman 3 Non Official now has a download for DCS 1.2.6.18933.
  11. I need more information than only this question to find a lead or a solution. - The server config text regarding admin and squad registration, you can use other symbols for names and passwords. - Are there any duplicate usernames and corresponding passwords for squad members that are also admins? Note: "Full admin functions may still be disabled until he logs in as full admin" Meaning: When you're logged in as a squad member than you need to log out as a squad member first to login as admin when being a remote client to obtain full admin rights. Perhaps even fully reconnect to the server. This is all speculation for me as i do not know your order of testing things, settings used or what you have tried at this point to make it work. It's even possible that this feature has never fully functioned correctly, but then your should be discussion about it in the official Servman threads. Even the current version of DCS could be changed enough to start this problem. When all settings are correct than try setting 'kickbanlevel = 1' and see what happens.
  12. The systems themselves don't seem to be that classified. There's tons of video's and pictures around on what's in present day pits. Even from the military. The underlying technique is classified. I find it funny how the F-35 is already pealed apart while it's still in a test phase. In the end it's the tax payers that need to be horny enough to see them flying over their villages. My government can't get away with spending so much money on aircraft anymore like in the 50's/70's without informing the tax payer where their money will go. The main reasons why the US would like NL to buy F-35's is the improved network communications and the improved small size atom bombs from the US will fit on the F-35. Apparently the US has a small stock in my country that fits the F-16. The improved launching and navigation systems of these bombs don't seem to fit on other aircraft and the old git F-16. Yes, you read that correct. The US military transport planes still fly on and off with these bombs. At least, they do in my country. Nothing has changed much since the 50's on that regard. Only that there's less 'lost' bombs and far less ultra long range missiles in silo's. Our governments got rid of the silo's, but have more carried bombs.
  13. Front doors open and battery power on. The Huey engine doesn't have to be turned off. When the chopper already runs then it's just the front doors open.
  14. It only needs a trigger tied to a sound or a some text when certain objectives are met. The reason it's not there for allot of missions is because the mission creator didn't implement an existing/new sound and/or text while the engine is more than capable in doing so. So yes, wake up mission designers!! :music_whistling: There's so much more possible on this regard already, but not being utilized. The same goes for dynamic objective stage notification or signaling on where to park after landing or random 'good kill' sounds that already exist in the sound files. Yes, it needs allot more triggering and it takes time to implement. I guess that's the bottleneck.
  15. You can create troop transport with the current trigger sysem, but you won't see them in the chopper. It seems a trigger for putting on and taking of aircraft weight isn't functional either yet. It's also pre-configured pickup and landing zones too. You don't need to create your own script for a decent troop transport mission. But yes, it's more simplified than working with menu shortcuts and having a personal choice of dropzone.
  16. Also keep in mind that many servers are simply 'homegrown' machines on very moderate internet quality. There could be many more reasons why you experience something. Some are also juggling around with self written code in missions or are testing stuff out while you're flying a mission and what not on the same machine.
  17. So much money, time and effort to flatten it all. It also doesn't look like many not fighting people live there. You'd almost ask why not 1 big single bomb and be done with it. The end result is the same.
  18. So it will become possible soon for us gruntz to buy weapon stripped A10's at the discount whole sale.
  19. In the mission option settings in the mission editor you can force set low, medium and high map detail settings which gives less to more buildings and obstacles. This should not have any effect to shader quality and other extra settings like HDR. The reason your FPS is low on a certain server could have many reasons. The VA servers use custom inhouse code too that might work ok, but still have a certain impact on a client.
  20. So someone with the job to test the code for 10 minutes actually didn't, because he or she was caught up in Twitter?
  21. Not any of my configured functions in DCS that use left or right WIN keys work. The WIN keys seem disabled when running DCS. In my case it's only the autopilot function in the Huey that seems to use LWIN-A. It's been set to RCTRL-A for the function to work.
  22. Can't the HOTAS software create an axis from a single key? The X52 software can. Or assign single keys to POV-head directions.
